http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/27/world/middleeast/27bahrain.html?partner=rss&emc=rssEgypt, Tunisia, Libya, Bahrain...wow! Even though I would prefer a government friendly to the US, as opposed to socialist ones that hate the West, I'm obscurely proud that the people are able to throw off, or are starting to, throw off their chains. Hopefully new governments will not be socialist and full of faux-righteous hatred. My suspicious mind suggests that this is all orchestrated by some horrible force of elites, but I should probably stop watching B-movies that blame Masonic conspiracies for everything.

My fellow americans make me laugh super hard, silly bean, the reason socialism doesn't, and will never work in america, is both because we are simply too large in population for it to work without alot of fine-tuning, or that the version we're being told is socialism is actually butchered with a serated butter knife. The simple fact is that organized government is liquid s**t, almost as much as religion, or rather, organized spirituality. I'll provide proof. In our democratic republic, the electoral collage voters can vote against the people they represent, the people don't actually have a say. Communism - This is the perfect government for any race other than Humans, we are simply too greedy and power hungry, anyone is, to give up the leader power so the people can actually have actual communism. Socialism - It's got the least flaws, but can't work on a scale larger than that of the UK, without being over-complicated.

Where, in the original post of this thread, did I say anything about America becoming socialist?

The part that you recolored, bolded and italicized does not say that America is going to become socialist. You're jumping from one conclusion to another. It is late in my part of the world...going to sleep now.

ryokomayuka I wonder if this will continue to stead? Well, yeah, until things settle down. Best result is the establishment of governments that govern responsibly and humbly, and who don't want to start wars with their neighbors.

For something like that to happen, we'd have to stop being humans.
Just as it is in our nature to love, it is in our nature to judge, which leads to hate.

Just as it is in our nature to love, it is in our nature to judge, which leads to hate. The question was, will it ever settle down. So you think that the ME gov'ts are unable to stop being...tumultuous? I believe it was more stable during the Ottoman Empire, which lasted for centuries.

The ME governments will stop being tumultuous when we stop shoving our d**k in a beehive, so to speak. They fight like we did in the revolutionary war, guerrilla, deceptive, underdog/handed tactics. We don't have the money to keep OUR country together, much less help build up another country.

Yes and no, at this point, moving out and focusing on our issues would really only help us, they'd stay the same. But, if we had never given the jewish refugees from WWII homes in Isreal, alot of the issues between radicalist Muslims and radicalist Judeists wouldn't exist, and the turmoil wouldn't be as dire. I think we should stop giving money to out of country care, and focus on building our own country back to what it was, really.

So, you're blaming the US "partially" for the problems in the Middle East. Were you aware that Jews and Arabs lived peacefully in Israel prior to WWII?
What do you think changed?
