Claps filled the hotel as Tempy stood up and made a gesture to her friend Marcy to congratulate her. Marcy winked at her and walked off stage with her hula mates. The wrath child got up and waited around the now emptying hotel ball room. Temperance stated she would meet Marcy in the gym part of the hotel once she was ready to go back the 'Night Family Farm'. Tempy didn't live there but today was one of her sleep over nights. She started to walk to the gym to do her normal studding of people, when she spotted a mother with about six kids.
Tempy was pretty sure the kids where all hers since they had her hair color and noses. The wrath spawn would normally be writing this information down but she walked up the mother and picked up a bottle the mother was trying to grab even though she had two kids in her hand. The mother thanked Tempy and abstinence child nodded and walked away. She knew Marcy would be ready in about twenty minutes so she wasn't in a rush to get to the gym. She didn’t feel like studding male specimens today. The hula show was really good and the music and dance moves really had an impacted on her.
She had seen the female dancer’s practice what seemed to be a normal dance. Yet today when she watched it she was shocked to see male dancers also. They added a new level to the show. The men danced to a war chant as the women danced slowly and vary peaceful to under tones in the music. This made the watcher feel the power of two worlds living within each other. Tempy didn't often think of the spiritual world, but this dance made her do so. So has she walked to the gym room she pondered this concept. Then she sat on a small two person bench outside the room. There she sat thinking about life’s big questions.

Moira often took care of any flower arrangements the hotel was in need of. Today was no exception. She had been delivering the flowers during the show, so she wasn't even really aware that it had been going on. She was always in a rush when it came to clients, it seemed. So much so, that she had forgotten to find a sitter for her son, Ciúin. Lucky for her, he was a well-behaved child and didn't mind helping her out, especially since she fed him.
Ciúin had spotted Temperance when she was carrying in a large vase of lilies. The flowers stood so tall in the arrangement that it was no wonder she didn't see him when she strolled by. Once he was finished helping Moira, he decided he was going to seek her out, not something he normally did, but she looked like she could use some company. Besides, she seemed nice, what with her helping out that lady with the multitude of kids. "Mother, I will be back shortly."
"That's fine, dear," Moira paused in her conversation with one of the hotel employees. She made sure that Ciúin could see her mouth as she spoke slowly and clearly to him. After which, she smiled and went back to her previous conversation. They'd been discussing payment and care for the flowers, nothing Ciúin was terribly interested in.
With a short nod, his big, clawed feet ticked on the tiled floor as he plodded off in search of the assumed nice girl. He covered ground rather quickly and found her sitting on a bench outside of the gym area. His large tail waggled a little as he kept back, behind a corner. He wasn't sure what to say or how to address this situation in general. Usually he was the one being approached. To top things off, she was part Wrath, a spawn type that he'd only ever had dealings with with his sister, whom he didn't care for.
He stared with unblinking, two-toned blue eyes for what seemed like a great deal of time until he finally figured out what to say. "Hello." He gave a little wave, not wanting to intrude if this girl wanted her privacy.

Temprince peeked her head up from looking at the floor "Hello" she stated. She gave him a quick look over "Do you need anything, is this your seat?" she asked in a simple tone. She thought about getting her note book out but didn't. She just waited on the boy to speak next. He seemed to want something , Tempy just couldn't figure out what.

Ciúin watched the girl's mouth carefully, mouthing each word after she said it so he could understand what she was saying. When she had finished, his eyes lifted to hers. "No, it is not my seat. I saw you in the lobby and thought that it would be nice to say hello. My name is Ciúin." He gave a slight bow to Tempy before he resumed his awkward stance.

The wrath spawn listened "Yes , it was odd that no one helped her sooner , it shows society is losing neighborly care , such as watching out for one another" she nodded. Living on the 'Night Family Farm' has been teaching her such values. Keeping eye contact "I don't need praise for what I did , but thanks for noticing" she nodded and tried to smile but it didn't come naturally like her role model Marcy. The gray haired spawn could put on a fake smile pretty easy , but this real heartfelt smile stuff was hard for her.

He watched her movements carefully, but didn't seem to glean a name from what she'd said. "I am sorry, I did not catch your name." He rolled over in his mind whether or not to tell her about his hearing condition. After a little bit of thinking, he figured it's be best, so she not think him rude. "I have a hearing problem, so I apologize if I ask too many questions."
His tail twitched in agitation. He felt odd just standing there, but he didn't want to anger the Wrath spawn be moving closer.

The wrath spawn looked up " You didn't ask for my name , but my name is Temperance , people call me Tempy for short since Temperance seems to be hard to pronounce" she nodded. "Asking questions is the only way to get answers , you should never feel bad about asking them , I inquire information about new topics through questions often" she smiled easily this time. Are you deaf or just have significant hearing damage or something else?" she asked in a simple voice.
Temperance through human study books, knew of people who can't hear but read lips , so she didn't feel uncomfortable asking the question she did. She actually felt glad he came and talked to her. She loved learning about diversity and different people. She wanted to embrace this opportunity to learn.

Going over the current conversation in his head, he supposed he hadn't asked her name. He felt a little silly for assuming that it was common courtesy to receive her name for giving her his name in return. "Temperance," he mouthed after she had said it to make sure he got it.
Ciúin thought about Tempy's question. "I can only hear sounds when I am not in water. If I have my ears in water, I can hear like normal people." The last bit was spat out with a bit of jealousy. His sister always teased him for not being "normal," even for a 1/2 angel, 1/2 demon spawn.

Temperance made a mental note of his unique situation "Well its good you can read lips then" she spoke slower now , and more clearly. She made sure to keep the same tone , and to not sound mocking or rude. She thought about his predicament then spoke "So who do you talk to under water?" she was curious now. This concept truly fascinated her.

He was taken aback by the question, as Ciúin had never really spoken to anyone underwater, per say. "I, um..." he paused, trying to think of exactly what to say. "I have not talked to anyone underwater. Not yet, at least." He thought about her question some more. "I have listened to people while I have been underwater, though. I can hear the voices like, I guess, normal people do."

Temperance looked at him as she turned her head to the left " Wow that is truly fascinating, so when your underwater ... you can hear people on land .... I would assume your demon blood gives you that ability , My friend Marcy is able to see through smell becouse of her demon dna.. She can also see normally too" she looked around "I am waiting for her now actually" she turned her attention back on him.

Ciúin had a hard time reading Temperance's lips as she turned her head to the side, but he supposed he got the gist of it. "I would also guess it comes from my demon blood." Still feeling a little uneasy about the whole situation here, he added, "I am sorry if I am bothering you, I can leave you alone if you want." He shifted awkwardly, ready to plod off if she gave him the word to.

The wrath spawn shook her head "No , I am enjoying learning about you, I don't mind your company" she kept eye contact. She then looked around once more for Marcy. She didn't see her, so she turned back to him " Are you finished with the decorating, from what I have seen your doing an excellent job , the flowers are really well coordinated, where do you get them from?" she asked.

"Oh, I do not do the decorating," he confessed, eyes locked on Tempy, "My mother is the one that makes the arrangements and sets them up. I merely carry the plants inside and place them where I am told." Ciúin didn't really see himself as artistic in anyway, so he wasn't about to lie about helping with the flowers.

Temprince took note of what he said " Ohhh I understand, its good you help your mother" she softly smiled. She heard some girls talking off in a near by hall. She peered out, sure enough Marcy was with a group of hula dancers. "Well , I must be going, it was nice meeting you" and she reached out her hand.
