User ImageEverything was set for his new business in Cairo, but Omari was still lacking one key element - slaves. He intended to start out slow and test the waters at first so he only needed a few of them. A friend in Zanzibar had bought his best Colosseum fighters to help fund this idea, but he would probably be better off starting from scratch anyway. And it was fun to train new slaves, he really liked it. There was a certain satisfaction to pick up a worthless looking slave in the market and groom him into a loyal killing machine. You just had to start with the right raw material. Sure, many slaves in the black market came with a history and bad habits that made training harder, but Omari liked the challenge.

He had brought the sturdy stick he liked to carry around instead of a whip. Sure, a whip looked much classier, but the stick had never let him down. He nodded his greeting to Hyde and proceeded without expecting any further interaction with the hyena until he found what he had came for. This was far from his first trip to the Black Market and he didn't mind coming over for a chat even without having business here. But today he had come with a specific purpose in mind, and not to talk.

Without further ado he dragged the end of the stick across the bars of the nearest cage, creating an awful noise. Oh, the slaves didn't like that, but he didn't do it to become popular. He walked along the row of cages, letting his stick hit every bar on the way. Some slaves shrank back and shied away, and then he knew he wasn't interested in those. Oh, he might be able to fix a scaredy cat, but it was a lot of trouble and it was all too easy to break them in the process...
