If you met some that you were attracted to, had personality traits you liked and you enjoyed spending time with them and the feeling were mutual but that person is planning, going through or had gender reassignment (i.e., a sex change) would you consider dating them?

Absolutely. Gender isn't a factor for me when it comes to relationships. I guess that's part of the beauty of being pansexual/demisexual (Still working on figuring out the labels XD)
Edit: The fact that this thread would even need to exist is kind of disgusting. I wouldn't have expected to see any "No"s =/

No. No matter what he/she would still be a dude in my eyes. Just thinking about dating a girl that was once a guy... ugh.. not good. >-<

Planning to or going through, probably not. If I begin dating a guy then end up dating a girl, I just can't do that.

I just couldn't. I'm not attracted to women in any way so it wouldn't feel right for me.
Not to mention to go from dating a guy to dating a girl would be REALLY weird (for me at least)

Considering half my friends are trans, yes, I would. Honestly I find the whole process and mentality behind it fascinating and I support anyone who feels contrary to what their birth certificate states.

Cannibal Horsey I just couldn't. I'm not attracted to women in any way so it wouldn't feel right for me. Not to mention to go from dating a guy to dating a girl would be REALLY weird (for me at least) But if you met the perfect guy, who just happened to have a problem with having some female part but was going to or had already fixed it, isn't that something else? I'm not asking if you would try to change your gender preferences or your own sexual identity, but if you would hold someone's physical state not of their own choosing against them.

As for myself it really is the person that matters and not which set of organs they have and it seem really alien to me to imaging being attracted to someone just for their organs (even if Zim would say more organs means more human). I don't think it would deter me from being with someone if they were transgender. When I was single, the transgender people I met that I was was interested in were already in relationships, so I have never been intimately involved in that way.

I'm not entirely sure. I would say that if there was a man i really loved it wouldn't matter but then never having met anyone who was transgender let alone loved one its had to really decide how i would react

I really don't know..
I'd be happy to be friends with one and stick up for them if they were made fun of but..
It would be way too awkward for me to be dating a trans gender. Plus, there's none in my school. sweatdrop

If it was a done deal and it already happened, then its fine. but I wouldn't feel comfortable with the transitional phase. It doesn't feel right to me that somebody changes who they naturally are. I mean yeah we can still be friends, but I can't date a girl that will be a dude by our engagement

Also, you wouldn't be dating a girl that would be a dude by your engagement, you'd be dating a dude that's missing a few components. Gawd, there's just no way to phrase that nicely D:
