As far as I can tell, it's identical to the P99D, built in the Polish factory. The only difference I can see is one roll pin on the P99 is solid plastic on the PPQ, and the PPQ has a few more serrations on the front of the slide. A couple machining cuts and a pin is a wartime simplification, not a new model.

Also on the table for "what the ********, Walther" is the P22 Lime.
I cant really trust any of their more recent designs as just about all of them suck.

I've not heard complaints about any of their new designs, function-wise, except there was a batch of early PPS's that had problems locking open before they were empty.
