AMITYVILLE ACADEMY ENROLLMENT FORM

Name: Ini-herit
  • Ethnic Origin: Egyptian
  • Meaning: He who brings back the distant one.
  • Numerology:Expression Number 11: People with this name tend to be idealistic, highly immaginative, intuitive, and spiritual. They seek after spiritual truth and often find it. They tend to be visionary and may inspire others. If they fail to develop their potential, they may become dreamers, or misuse power.

Nicknames: Ini
Gender: Male
Age: New. But you can call him a teenager.

Faction/Race Undead / Mummy

History: Ammit is a female demon in ancient egyptian mythology. In the human world Ammit was never worshipped but was always feared by Egyptians. This means, of course, that Ammit had a nice little niche in Halloweentown. The ability to evoke great FEAR is what makes you big in Halloween afterall!

The Cult of Ammit used to be great! They used to be vast and powerful and command great FEAR but as time went on and the ancient egyptian beliefs lost their hold in the human world the Cult of Ammit lost their standing in Halloween. They are essentially group of Reapers, a very specific type cultists, whose job it was to handle those evil souls whose hearts were to be devoured by their demon goddess. As time went on, less and less souls fell under their jurisdiction and less and less money came their way. Other reapers popped up, much more accomodating ones, and there was just less work for the cult. After years of half-assed leadership and antiquated tradition the cultists decided to reinvent themselves and once again to use the name of Ammit to carve out their place in Halloween!

Their overzealous Head Priest, following an ancient ritual, sacrificed himself as a vessel for Ammit. Buuuut.. of course funding was low and maybe they didn't have quite the right animal organs and maybe their somewhat blind scribe had messed up some of the inscriptions and heiroglyphics. Basically they really did a botched job! Their ultimate vessel of power was sort of just a kind of good vessel of power. Certainly their mummy had the overzealous religious worship thing down.. but everything else just wasn't there.

Personality:
Enigmatic yet empty
Ini really loves to capitalize on the whole mummy thing. He will talk mysteriously, be vague about things he's doing and give really strange mystical sounding information when you ask him a question. Mostly though, there is no substance behind it! He's just doing it because he likes to. He enjoys the ambience he can create by being a magical mummy. He is aware, though he doesn't remember it, that he was a fleshy being at one time... but he totally enjoys what he is now a lot more!

Charismatic
Having been a cult leader in his previously life did carry through to benefit him in his undead existence. He's personable, funny, and likeable. These are all good traits when you consider that he's trying his best to recruit you into his cult! He's like the PR guy of mummies! But that doesn't exempt him from his mummy anger. It's hard to make him snap out but when he does, please duck and cover.

Forgetful Religious Zealot
Ini believes whole heartedly in his cause. His very existence is dependent on his demonic goddess. His whole mission in life is to serve her will and recruit more followers who can then bring evil souls unto her almighty maw! He is known to go off with rants and speeches but if questioned on the details he may blank out. Instead of saying that he doesn't remember the details or that he just doesn't know, he will instead distract you with his volume of voice and steer the conversation elsewhere. Essentially he is frustrated with his own inadequacies and does not want to come to terms with them. But Ini enjoys expressing his love of his goddess and also trying to bring others into the fold. No, really. Join. JOIN NOW.

Curious
Because his creation/resurrection got sort of messed up, he's got a very limited memory and very small spectrum of knowledge. He also has trouble remembering the things the cultists re-taught him before he came to school. Because of this he is always eager to learn and try new things. The more activities he's involved in will also help him meet more people.. and of course all of those people are potential recruits! His grades are so-so but he does work hard at any subject or club he takes on.

Over Dramatic
Ini has a loud and booming voice which he likes to use to his benefit. He will blow things out of proportion when recounting a story, over dramatizing events with loud exclamations of speech, and often times teachers will tell him he's much too loud. He can't help it and even his version of whispering is not much of a whisper. When using his FEAR he will even bellow out 'BEHOLD THE POWER OF AMMIT!' as if he were a character in a movie or video game.

Clumsy
As a mummy his one big problem is that he is very large, rather slow, and a bit clumsy. It's just hard not to trip when you are wrapped up from head to toe and you have really big feet! To his benefit, he is a rather new mummy and so his corpse is not has decayed as much as some others.. but who is to say that in his previous life he wasn't just a clumsy man too?

Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Due to his botched resurrection he has huge gaps in his memory about the workings of the world. He only seemed to retain the fanatical worship of his goddess. He's been enrolled by his cult and provided with all the necessities in order to become the best, FEAR inducing, follower-recruiting mummy that he can be.

FEAR: Behold the Power of Ammit!!! - Whilst bellowing the preceding statement, Ini invokes the power of his demonic goddess. Ini's wrappings leave his body with their magical essence and form into the shape of Ammit. This creature will then attempt to bite or swallow their prey. In this form, the 'beast' is Ini's power and personality albeit much more savage. It does not speak but is, essentially, all that there is of Ini. This, of course, leaves Ini's actual (super dead and gross) body completely vulnerable and flopped to the ground, lifeless... and without his actual body there is no vessel for his god's power. He needs to keep that gross, grey meat sack safe!

As his powers grow he should learn to retain even the slightest amount of energy into his shambling corpse, allowing it to move freely and avoid attack while his FEAR is activated.

Natural Ability: CUUUUURSE!! Beware the curse of the mummy!! Well you should sort of beware. He loves to yell about cursing people more than he will actually do it, but the skill and potential is there. He is a mummy after all!

Physical Description:
Eye Colour: Glowing red
Hair Colour/Style: N/A
Skin Colour: Dead. Dead is a color right?
Clothing Style/Colours: Well he's a mummy but instead of being wrapped in normal bandages, his wrappings are made of thin parchment and every bit of the parchment is marked with symbols and hieroglyphs. These bindings are what hold the magical power keeping his shambling corpse alive. On top of these bandages he wears egyptian style clothes. This includes jeweled arm bands, a head dress, a belt and sandals.
Extra: Ini's bandages seem to have their own internal glow. All the gaps in the bandages seem to glow red but there is an actual body under them somewhere.

ADDITIONAL INFO

Who is Ammit?

Image of Ammit

In ancient Egyptian religion, Ammit (also spelled Ammut and Ahemait, meaning Devourer or Bone Eater) was a female demon with a body that was part lion, hippopotamus and crocodile— the three largest "man-eating" animals known to ancient Egyptians. A funerary deity, her titles included “Devourer of the Dead,” “Eater of Hearts,” and “Great of Death.”

Ammit lived near the scales of justice in Duat, the Egyptian underworld. In the Hall of Two Truths, Anubis weighed the heart of a person against Ma'at, the goddess of truth, who was sometimes depicted symbolically as an ostrich feather. If the heart was judged to be not pure, Ammit would devour it, and the person undergoing judgement was not allowed to continue their voyage towards Osiris and immortality. Once Ammut swallowed the heart, the soul was believed to become restless forever; this was called "to die a second time".

Ammit was not worshipped, and was never regarded as a goddess; instead she embodied all that the Egyptians feared, threatening to bind them to eternal restlessness if they did not follow the principle of Ma'at.
