I tried downloading torrents that contains Touhou 10 mountain of faith, and when I unpack them from the .rar file and play it, it works fine until I get to Hina, that's when the trouble starts. I tried downloading from different torrents I could find but to find a fully functional torrent was unsucsessful.
Every time I get to Hina (mid stage) the whole game freezes and computer locks and I end up having to pull the plug on my laptop. I got the .dll files to run it. I do have the english patch, but every time I install that, I see that it had skipped some parts and not all were patched.
Can someone help me out please?
(problem was solved due to new laptop)

How does it play without the English patch? Does it still freeze at Hina?

Trust me, I tried it without the english patch before and the same thing happens.

Hm, strange. What about the torrent file itself? I don't know what torrent program you use, but with uTorrent, I can see if a file is damaged or whatnot while it's downloading.
Other than that, I don't really have any ideas on how to help you, sadly =/
Perhaps try to find and download a zipped copy of the game, instead of using a torrent? If you're lucky, you can find them pre-arranged and ready to play as soon as you unzip the file.

Nah, that's a plugin issue. Hell, nothing on 12.3 comes close to the loading caused by Hina's doubles.

I tried again yesterday, but I managed to get past Hina again, but when I got to Nitori, it crashed yet again, and I still used a fresh new torrent. It must be the laptop I have then. I may need to get a new laptop with a very strong processor and a hell of allot of memory, but this laptop I have im sort'a fond of it since it's my very first one.

There is a website called Wuala and a user once used to put (almost) all of the touhou games (Up to 11) ready for download...
Maybe it's your laptop? I mean, some laptops really couldn't play games.

Or ask Yukari to give you one, or Nitori to upgrade your comp, or Kanako to bestow upon you the powers of technology xP I know im extremely late posting here but...... it works perfectly now. I got a new laptop long ago and it runs great. All I need to do is find a gaian who has a perfectly up-n-running touhouvenia game file. (I been trying to get that opperable but I think the torrents I used had corrupted file issues) But now Megaupload is dead, who can I trust now? I even tried Mediafire and I still have trouble.
