Spring was just beginning to show itself; in the flowers, in the leaves that were just beginning to bud on the trees. In the grass that was only just beginning to revive its vibrant green color after being under the snow for so long. White snowdrops littered the field, as did patches of ice. The park was beautiful, but someone had gone through the trouble to decorate the center of the park.

The courtyard had been turned into a dance floor. The playpark just twenty feet away, conviently placed for those who might have been watching younger children. There were only two snack tables. Bowls of popcorn, chips and pretzels adorned them, but nothing more elaborate. The someone who had set up this dance had put their focus on Spring.

The person who had set this up clearly loved the season. The decorations were green and yellow; the colors of the first signs of spring. Music blared from a large sound system set close to the tables.

Invitations had been sent out via Jaella, it seemed. The purple haired human GPS had been put to work, delivering invitations to everyone.

A spring dance? If there was anything Howl loved more than Christmas and getting presents, it was spring. After all, he had met his truest love in spring. Though that had been on May Day, the great wizard turned teenager was quick to make the connection between spring and love. Spring was when beginnings began. Where journeys started. When animals and plants where born and started to come out of their dens.

Spring was definitely the season of love. Definitely. Love wasn't the only reason spring was the wizard's favorite season, however. Howl was fond of flowers--though he didn't often say so. He enjoyed gardens. He enjoyed the weather spring brought--well. Not the rain. He hated rain, it reminded him of Wales; and he always seemed to get sick when it rained. No, he loved the sunshine.

And a spring dance when the weather was just beginning to look up was always of great interest to the wizard. Girls would be there, after all.

Unfortunately for Howl, the first arrival other than himself was certainly not a girl. It was Adam McGill, accompanied by his mother. The ever hungry young boy noticed the snack table first and, giggling in the delighted way that only young children seemed to manage, ran for it immediately. He found when he reached it, however, that it was high above his head.
Adam scowled, then looked back at his mother with the largest doe eyes he could muster.

"Momma, I can' reach the prezzles." he pouted, pointing up at them.
Jillian smothered an amused giggle and walked over to fetch some 'prezzles' for her son. She spotted Howl and smiled at him, waving.
Adam looked over and also spotted Howl, but he did not wave. He instead pressed his face to his mother's leg and just about fused himself there, as if to possessively mark her with his presence.

The young boy was almost like a Shadow, Jillian observed, with his strange love of orange and possessiveness over her. She wondered if he would ever grow out of it.

A white haired female dark elf walked to the party, her little ragdoll pouting while she walked by her mother instead of running ahead of the woman. Ivy had found a spell that kept Eve from going far away from her. It worked better than the child leash and keeping a straight eye on the hyper toddler.

Ivy even had dressed in white and red with her sundress having red flowers painted on it. Her hair was hidden partially under a sunhat with a light shrug around her arms. Eve on the other hand was in her normal red dress with Keya following behind hand in hand with a wary Aries.

Three shadows walked, flew, and creeped alongside them. Herion especially found Aries' head a good perch to keep an eye out on his host, much to the dismay of the man.
