Has anyone seen any good movies that came out recently? Ever since the video store I worked at closed down i've been out of the loop, and our theatre in town sucks. Anything good and a slight description of it would be appreciated thanks!

Takers is a good one I thought, it came out on DVD about a month ago. Quote: It's Heat for the next generation. It's one cool as hell edge of your seat thriller. I think i heard of this one. What's it about? It's like a group of bank robbers have their biggest heist interupted by a cop. But it's not all about him, it's not one of those shows all over tv about how great police officers are. It has Chris Brown, Matt Dillon, Tip Harris(rapper T.I.), and some other guys I don't know in it. Its pretty good, really thrilling. And it's mostly about the robbers. I liked it.

There are good movies nowadays????
IT's IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!
most of them are poop and not good, so I just don't watch new ones, I prefer just to stay at home watching Gene Wilder movies.

Agreed, Gene Wilder is very pretty. And he plays a good drunk.
BUT. A good recent movie I saw was "Gnomeo and Juliet" aka a kid's movie. It was wonderfully childish.
It's the same plot as Romeo and Juliet, but everyone is a gnome, and they find new and interesting ways to make sense of the story in the modern day. It's ridiculously funny, which I didn't quiet expect, and if anyone has read any other Shakesphere stuff, there are a few other references in the movie... like there was one from hamlet and one from julius caesar in it too.
btw, 18, and I laughed so hard that the kids were staring at me.
Good times.

The remake of Tron, Tron: Legacy was really good. I haven't seen the original, so I'm not sure how a "real fan" would like it, but I enjoyed it and was able to follow along.
Otherwise, movies these days are really crappy. :I

The original TRON was amazing! It's one of my favorite movies! Last movie I saw was The Other Guys. It was quite funny, in my opinion.

-Raging Phoenix
-The Good the Bad the Weird
rolleyes Most guys don't like romance from what I'm told so I hope action is ok.
