It was Christmas Eve and they had just fought a huge ice-princess monster. Azzo stood beside Sailor Polaris as he watched the destruction of the lady. “Well if this doesn’t count as interesting I don’t know what does.” He said with a sigh and a shake of his head, it was also freezing outside.

He looked at Polaris who still had his coat; the senshi at least had won this. That he was glad of, and then the commotion with Castor, a negaverse captain, he wasn’t sure, was shoving her hand through his chest, and Azzo shuddered. That had passed too and there they were standing alone with everyone leaving it was Christmas Eve and late at that. “Do you have anyone to spend Christmas with?” Azzo directed towards the super sailor.

“No,” She answered, “They’re all in Alaska and after last year’s fiasco there’s not really anyone at Crystal I’d want to spend Christmas with.”

Azzo frowned softly when she answered, this wasn’t good. “Come on, we have a guest bed room, Grams would be more than happy to have you join us for Christmas.” Azzo offered the girl as they walked; he half expected it would be towards Crystal, which was okay if Aurora wanted to get some stuff to spend the night. “That is if you want to, she wouldn’t want you spending Christmas alone.”

Super Sailor Polaris nodded her head seeming to consider the offer, “That... that would be wonderful. Thank you Azzo.” She said after a second.

Azzo smiled, “It’s what Christmas is about isn’t it?” He chuckled, “We can drop by the dorms long enough for you to grab some clothes if you want?”

Azzo smiled when it seemed to be an agreeable idea. He stretched as they walked; it was peaceful after the Ice Princess ordeal, no more obsessing over the snow globes. Aurora was staying over for Christmas; his parents were still off in whatever country they were in at this time of the year because of his father’s assignments. Things seemed to be going well. Merlin was a year old and Azzo was going to graduate soon. He sighed trying to push out any bad thoughts and keep them away, he didn’t want to gloomy up a good thing.

“Grams is probably still up baking.” He added with a laugh. “She’d probably love the help for tomorrow as well.”

Azzo waited across the streets from the dorm watching in case something else tried to jump him. However, it was Christmas he was hoping there was an unspoken cease fire and exchanging of gifts after the ordeal with the princess. He might be an idealist occasionally but Azzo couldn’t help but hope somewhere that the Negaverse had respect for the holidays, even if not everyone celebrated Christmas they were bound to be celebrating something.

He watched Aurora appear back out of the dorms and slip out. Giving a smile he nodded, “Good, I bet Gram’s’ll have fresh sugar cookies with candied windows by the time we get to my place. Some of them for Santa and some for us… that would be good wouldn’t it?” Grams always baked too many, cookies, Azzo knew that for a fact and was sure that this time wouldn’t be any different. It’d just be another face to feed and to keep them company, Grams would be glad for it.

“Grams I’m home.” Azzo called out followed by Aurora into the house...
