As the title states this is to discuss the latest season of super sentai. I just caught the very first episode and i have one thing to say...its definitely the Den-O of the super sentai in terms of entertainment value.
The first episode starts off with showing every single sentai team...and i do mean every single team and ranger in said teams. All the sentai up to Goseiger were fighting together in an epic battle. I wont spoil anything else but i was shocked to see them all...and very happy.
I personaly loved the first episode and let me tell you this..there is some very funny moments along with a moment like from kamen rider double (the episode were they catch the lier dopant...the scene in the theater). Just watch it for yourself. it is currently able to be downloaded on tv nihon and if you are lucky..you might be able to find it on youtube. watch it..and enjoy.

Mr Jes So its actually good? Huh, might have to seriously check it out this week. 3nodding It is good actualy. it starts off strong and you get to even see the "megazord" in action briefly. and whats more they have a very cool ability that you will see for yourself

Didn't they have to ability to assume the forms of past sentai warriors? Put answer in White. xD

It was a decent first episode. I'm kind of afraid of certain things becoming annoying in some episodes down the line, but as it is now I enjoyed it. I'll definitely give more episodes a try, if anything to see if I'm right about something I noticed being a plot point down the line.
I can't see how Saban would adapt this well enough. Would take quite a bit of work to make it adaptable to power rangers in my opinion.

First off jess...the answer for you is ... Yes you are correct. they can assume the costumes and even use the weapons of previous sentai and dont have to stay to the original's gender. like a woman on the team can become gekired female version.
Yes i know what you mean Itami...but i am sure they wont make those little bits become too annoying in the series.
As for them doing a Power Rangers version...i doubt saban or anyone will do it.

I'm sure they might as the series goes onward, especially with certain characters... but I'll give the whole series a chance. It has impressed me so far.
Saban will have to I think. It seems like it would be tough for them to skip ahead a series when it comes time. Will be interesting to see how they handle it.

Though I agree. I can't see anyway that Saban could adapt the series. Unless Toei decides to provide Subs of all the past 34 series on Youtube or some cable channel.

The two ways I can see them doing it are both costly to Saban, mainly in filming their own footage for a lot of fights. If they find a way to edit/work around the pre-zyuranger teams (and dairanger's costumes) or if they cut out the decade powers and focus on their normal ones and them being pirates I think it could work for power rangers. Just would take more effort/money than Saban may be willing to deal with.

And from what little I've seen from PR Samurai, I doubt Saban would put a lot of effort into it.

Then they replaced the producer with someone they had used before and made it all "kiddy" again.
