(Fenja found some ripe manula fruit trees; which may or may not have been staged *cough*) As if glued to the ground a bright lioness was slowly stalking an antelope herd looking for an easy target. A young animal, an old one, a sickly or injured beast. Any would do. She was hungry, not desperately so, but hungry nonetheless and this herd looked promising. Already she had found a few potential targets of smaller stature amongst the large creatures but unfortunately their mothers seemed to be keeping a close eye on them. Fenja had been discreetly following the beasts for a while now and she couldn't help but notice how odd things started happening all around them. For once, it was getting colder and colder - Fenja could see beautiful mountains ahead - but the temperature didn't seem to deter the animals if anything they seemed to be moving with a purpose and in strangely high spirits as if they were nearing their destination.
It started with one giraffe. A normal sight, usually, but this one seemed to be having trouble… walking. It didn’t appear to be injured just abnormally sleepy...? Unwilling to risk a major injury, Fenja tried to ignore it though she couldn’t help but to feel curious about the tall creature. She moved forward until she noticed the noise ahead, crawling through the grasses half-hidden and in a more careless way. The moving herd was spooked as one male alerted them all to the predator’s presence and Fenja cursed under her breath watching her potential meals run away right from under her nose.
Without as much reason to be cautious, the lioness moved forward a bit quick, looking for the source of the strange sounds ahead. It was as if she had entered a strange new world. The cold air was bursting with excitement and animals of all kinds were resting, acting strangely or simply arriving on the spot. There was a leopard sleeping in a tall tree in what appeared to be a rather uncomfortable position. Two warthogs ran away when they saw her but kept tripping along the way. One lone hyena was laughing at a tree as if they were having a conversation. And most noticeably, there was an elephant sleeping in the strangest position Fenkja had ever seen. Another elephant was by its side, the only normal animal around but he was pushing a tree as if his life depended on it and yellow fruits dropped from above causing an odd group of baboons and meerkats to appear out of every burrow, bush and tree to eat them.
Was this the work of the Gods? The God of Confusion, maybe, if one truly existed. Or perhaps the God of Peace though this peace carried some rather strange side-effects. Such a strange and extraordinary place where beasts of all kinds and great numbers seemed to mingle! And despite the temperature they all seemed to have been drawn to the place as if summoned by some ethereal force. Fenja slowly paced forward and plopped down. Apart from the occasional creature that very obviously tried to avoid getting too close to the bright lioness, most animals seemed happy to ignore her. Fenja did the same and promptly followed their example, rewarding her hungry stomach with a mouthful of fruit.

Hoaka had been travelling for a long time he was hoping that he was getting close to his destination. His unknown destination, his new home. He didn't know where or what this new home was but he had known for quite sometime that he wasn't happy where he had been, and to him that meant it was time to move on. The large purple lion looked up at the sky, the sun was beating down on him. He knew soon that he would have to get water, he grumbled slightly he didn't want to stop his travels for water but he knew it would be unhealthy otherwise.
Hoaka came through a bunch of trees to find the same scene unfolding before as Fenja had only moments earlier. He shook his head, there was clearly something wrong with the creatures that were here. There was however a small watering whole in the middle of all the chaos. Hoaka moved cautiously through the crowd trying to avoid everyone the best he could, he really just wanted to get some water and be on his way. He didn't notice the only other lion in the area as he made his way carefully to the watering whole. He even did his best to avoid making eye contact with any of the creatures in the area.

Fenja was definitely enjoying herself. She wasn’t sure why the world had suddenly turned brighter but the young lioness found that everything around her was infinitively more interesting. It somehow made sense that all the animals were enjoying some peaceful moments in the sun but she felt strange, foreign to her body and noticed that more than once her reactions were more intense than usual, like the loud crystal clear laughter than escaped her every time an animal made a fool of itself. It took her a while to finally notice the male but Fenja couldn’t help to find the unnecessary stealth in which he moved terribly amusing. She eyed him appreciatively, her eyes lingering on his bright pink paws. He was a good-looking male but so very different from the ones in her old pride. Dark and forbidding.
“Hey there.” She called, instantly surprised by how easily she was discarding her usual caution. “Did you come to join the party?”

Hoaka perked his ears when the female spoke to him. He noted an odd tone to his voice, he was having trouble figurring out why all the creatures in the area where acting so strange and made a mental decision just now to not drink any of the water in the area. However he found himself some what concerned for the lioness' safety.
"No ma'am I can not say that I came here for the party." he tried to be polite but Hoaka's nature was a serious one and he found it hard to relax in any sort of way with all these creatures around acting strangely.
"My name is Hoaka. Are you okay?" he asked. The lioness was very attractive and despite himself Hoaka found himself eyeing her in that sort of way. He tried to shake his head and get the image of her beautiful rainbow markings to leave his mind, he needed to know that she was okay before he could allow any of these thoughts to come into his mind.

“Ma’am? Are you calling me old, friend?” she laughed, more than she usually did for such a simple joke and she eyed the male somewhat coyly. The fact that he seemd so nice and polite only served to make her more at ease. Caution was a ridiculous concept at this point. “Okay? Oh, I’m fine. I wanted to see what was going on and found this clearing. There’s food and water so everyone’s happy and making a fool of themselves.”
Deep down, however, she knew there had to be more to it.
“I blame a God. It has to be. The Goddess of Happiness… or the God of Folly. There is a God of everything, you know?” she said in a quieter tone, some sense returning to her when facing a clear-headed individual. “There’s no way I’d feel this comfortable around hyenas or that monkey around me otherwise, right?”

Hoaka tipped his head to the side when she asked if he thought she was old, "No I was just being polite. I was brought up to be polite. I actually find you young and ..." he trailed off he would not be a very good gentleman if he flirted with the female while she was clearly in an altered state. He tried to shake the thought out of his head but something about her rainbow markings drew him in.
He looked around at the animals who were all acting oddly, "Yes perhaps the god of insanity." Hoaka was too stuffy to see the appeal to acting the way these animals where, he wanted to get away from here, but he wasn't going to leave the female here alone, he had to convince her to come with her.
"I uh, I can't stay here... but I don't want you leave you.. come with me." he wasnt very good at being candid. There was other emotions stirring in him but he had to make sure she was safe before he could allow any of them to fully come to the surface.

Fenja tried to read the male’s expressions but quickly realized she was in no condition to do an accurate job – not when she could barely understand herself at the moment. She did, however, feel somewhat safer around the purple lion and regretted that he was about to leave so suddenly.
“Are you sure?” The bright lioness asked with a bit of a pout, tilting her head to the side. “Don’t you want some fruit? There’s so much here. It’s actually quite good. Most are pretty sweet but they have a little bitter quick at the end."
Her ears lowered just a little and the lioness tried to look more miserable than she actually felt. If he did leave, Fenja wasn’t exactly sure she could follow… after all, even in her altered state, she remembered that running off with some strange male was hardly a cautious decision.

Hoaka tried to calmly think of what to do next. The female clearly wasn't in the mood to leave the clearing but Hoaka felt wrong being here, there were things that just weren't right. He was confused as to why there was so many creatures getting along, he was worried that things could turn nasty at any time and this female wouldn't be able to protect herself.
"I think it would be safer if you came with me. I can help you walk, and will stay with you the night to make sure everything is okay." he told her gently. He hoped that she realized his intentions were good, though of course there was a little part of him that knew he was a male and she was an attractive female, but he kept trying to push that part aside, it wasn't like him to let that part of him come out. He blamed it on the atmosphere of this clearing.
"I'm really not hungry though the fruit does look amazing." Hoaka knew that something in the clearing must be causing this behaviour and he wasn't about to eat something that could very well cause him to act like all the others here.
"Come with me I will keep you safe." he pleaded again, this time taking a step forward and nuzzled the top of her head. He felt odd showing affection he had after all jsut met her but he needed her to feel safe and to come with him.

He looked so worried about her! Any other day and it would probably have exasperated her to no end and probably cause the bright lioness to give a (probably long) speech on how she was a strong and independent female ho didn’t a male to watch out over her. But her defenses had already been breached and the lion’s words were more endearing than unnerving to her ears. Also, she had to admit a strange sort of sleepiness was overcoming her and her stomach felt sensitive, which might indicate she had eaten too much already.
“All right, all right. I’ll go with you.” Fenja said, her tone appeasing as she gave the purple lion a bright smile. “But I can walk by myself.”
To prove her point, perhaps, she stood up a little too quickly than she should’ve because the lioness obviously staggered on her four paws for a few seconds. She giggled.
“But you have to stay with me all… night… long.” She added with a most evident tease, rubbing her body against the handsome male as she moved past him, tail flicking playfully behind her.

Hoaka sighed when the female insisted on being a little independent but he figured he should pick his battles he had gotten her to agree to come and that was all that was importnat at the moment. "Ok then lets go." he said. He let her walk on her own but he stayed so close that he was practically rubbing her side as they walked. He was a little worried when she waved as she stood and he slowed his pace again.
"I will stay the night with you." he told her almost in a whisper, it was getting harder and harder to subdue is urges that stirred inside of him. As they left the forested area Hoaka started looking for a den that they could spend the night in. They hadn't walked too far when Hoaka spotted a den. "Come this way my dear." he whispered to her. He gave her a little nudge in her direction of the den.
He entered first and waiting inside for her he made sure that she herslef had settled before settling himself next to her. He was prepared for a long night. Though nothing could have prepaired him for the full events of what would happen. It was early in the morning when Hoaka slipped out of the den, he knew that Fenja was going to be just fine. Hoaka was a little ashamed of what had happened and it was with his tail between his legs as he slipped away from the den and went on his journey.

“My hero.” Fenja laughed and every note held a hint of the mischief she was planning. The young lioness wasn’t thinking of anything specific at that point but she had this strange playful mood going on and the presence of the purple male, complete stranger that he was, made her happy… very happy.
Fenja slept through the morning. She was more than a little relieved when she found herself alone in the den, the prospect of facing the dark male one of the most embarrassing things she’d ever been confronted with. She was silent, head resting on her paws, eyes slightly wider than usual. She cursed the Gods, that blasted male whose name she couldn’t remember and herself. Mostly the Gods but and even though blaming the male was far more tempting, she couldn’t really claim absolute innocence on good conscience. The fact that she remembered everything that had happened during the night – quite vividly even! – only served as a reminder of the many times she could’ve simply made a different choice. On the contrary, she somewhat considered herself the main instigator.
The bright lioness sighed. Born and raised in the rogue lands, she was hardly ignorant to the fact that her actions could very well lead to cubs (she had a feisty dark cheetah girl to thank for the information on that department) but she prayed to all the Gods she knew and the ones she didn’t, that nothing would come of this. - FIN! -
