Some people never learn from their pasts. And some things were doomed to repeat over and over again. In the back of his mind Vali knew that this would more then likely end up bad and this time it would not be so easy as leaving a pizza place.
It had been a while since he had see his young friend Gabriel. Well it had been since he had learn to swim. But when the metallic spawn had gotten ahold of the pride spawn and invited him to an all expense pay to an amusement part instead of saying yes he had asked if Damien could join him. He wanted to do something nice for his friend and so he had stupidly agreed to Damien coming along. Good thing smiling was not something Vali did often enough anymore. So at least he might have an easier time with not starting a fight. He could remember most of that last night with the twins. So now he was going to have too try and not let it happen again.
Currently the silver haired and skin spawn was waiting at the closest bus stop. He had told the twins to meet him there. He had a car of his own now but he did not think that picking them up would have been the best thing to do at first was to meet up at the park then if things went well he would take them both home. If not he would make sure they made it back to the bus stop safely. So he was leaning against the wall just behind the bench for the bus. He was wearing a loose fitting plain green t-shirt, a light jacket, and dark jeans. His tail was was tucked into his front pant pocket. Both halves were press together and looked solid. He wondered what this day was going to be like. Reaching into his jacket pocket he pulled out the three tickets to the park and then looked at his watch. The bus should be showing up soon.

Gabriel was so excited that he could barely breathe. He was bouncing in the seat beside his brother as they waited for the slow-moving bus to arrive at it's destination: A theme park. For the first time in both of their lives, they were actually able to go to a theme park. Despite the fact that Vali had said neither of them needed to bring any money, Gabriel's pocket was stuffed with the spare money he'd made at the warehouse that week, hellbent on spending it on all of the sickeningly weird food that television said they would find there, as well as possibly getting some trinkets for his brother or his girlfriend. After all, it wouldn't be a proper gift if he made someone else buy it for him!
"God, this is so awesome, isn't it, Damien?! I can't wait until we get her, God, what do you think we should go on first? I mean, I'm not sure what they're going to have there, I just know all of the stuff on the television and in books with pictures and things. What do you think that they're going to have there? Rollercoasters, I bet! Oh, oh, I totally want to go on one that goes upside-down!! And Vali said that they were going to have a water park, too, right? It's going to be so much fun, isn't it, I'm so excited, you're excited too, right?! I mean... even if you've got those two..."
"Yeah, it'll be fun, calm yourself." Damien's reply was tetchy only because of his three dozing charges, one cuddled up against each of his sides, the third snoozing in his lap. He had no idea what he was going to do with them once they got to the park, but he was going to have to think of something. As much as he had resisted the idea of going anywhere with that frustrating mirror, Gabriel had jumped all over the idea; far be it from Damien to do anything to make his brother sad. The fact that he had three kids along for the ride only strengthened his resolve to endure this. Mind you, he was originally just going to be babysitting for Lira again, but Gabriel hadn't failed to remind him of his own son ( after all, there were three of them, they could handle three kids! ).
Not to mention that Damien wanted to go to the amusement park as much as Gabriel did, even if he wasn't so vocal about it. He readjusted slightly and looked out the window for their stop, trying to keep the smile out of his voice as he replied to Gabriel's blathering questions. "They'll have roller coasters, I'm sure of it. And I think they might have carnival games. I wonder how that walking mirror will handle being in a water park... Oh look, your best friend's here waiting for us. Take Demetre please, Gabe."
The preteen reached up and pulled on the cord signaling their stop. He stood up awkwardly, holding Copeka to his side, Dayo's hand in his other as the little boy rubbed at one of his eyes, and shuffled his way off the bus, muttering apologies as he elbowed. Once everyone was off, Damien stepped towards Vali with the hint of a sardonic smile on his face, mock-saluting. "Hey. Sorry, I couldn't get out of bringing on a few tagalongs. They won't be a problem, right?"
"Really, really?! Oh my God, I hope that they do! And that you can get giant stuffed animals from them!!" Gabriel replied, giggling excitedly. When he was asked to get the little girl, he nodded easily and carefully picked her up, yawning as he did so. Gah, her and her weird magics. At least Copeka and Dayo could walk, stumbling sleepily at Damien's sides, Copy's hands hidden by the far too long sleeves of his sweatshirt, a short skirt fluttering around Dayo's knees. When they got off the bus, Gabriel squeaked in surprise at seeing Vali, also grown since their last encounter, despite the fact that he and his brother had grown twice over. Immediately, he ran up and hugged him, awkwardly juggling the infant in his arms. "Eeeeee!! I'm sososo excited, Vali!! And, and if it's a problem that the kids are coming, I brought money, so I can pay for them if you need me to! Just, y'know, Lirona asks Damien to watch her kids a whole lot and he found Dayo a while ago and never brings him anywhere, he just leaves him at Cat's house, and I didn't think it was going to be fair, come on, to take someone else's kids to an amusement park and not take his own!! But, but yeah, I can pay if you want, that's why I made sure to bring money!!"

Vali saw the bus coming and he could feel his nervousness threatening to boil over. But as he saw the bus slowing he growled softly and forced the nerves down. This was Gabriel he was rather easy to please. And he would not make the same mistake with Damien has he had the last time. By the time that the bus doors open he was ready for the twins what ever mood they both might be in.
He first saw the problem twin and seeing the smile on Damien's lips made Vali's body tense. He knew that that particular spawn did not like him so there was no need to blatantly show it. Then Vali's hidden eyes fell on the two youngsters with Damien. Thankfully for him his metallic hair covered the shock in his eyes. And his stoic lips remained emotionless though he felt the sudden urge to smack the smug look off of that mocking face. "I will just have to go and get them passes in." he said in an even tone looking over to two with Damien. One of them really did not look like a spawn, though the sloth spawn would have no idea what it was.
He was about to turn to reenter the line when he felt the warm wrapping around him and the bright voice of Gabriel. Again shock his Vali as he felt a strange small form wriggling between him and Gabriel and looked down to another small child in the other twin's arms. "You don't need to pay Gaberiel, thank you for offering though, You just save your money for souvenirs and snacks. I will get us all in. It will be really cheap if not free for the three little ones." He said in his even ton. He would not allow Damien to get the best of him this time around. "Well of course he could not take other people's children and not his." he said and then looked down at the small girl in Gabe's arms, "What is your name little one?" He asked in a gentler tone.

If there was one thing that Gabriel was particularly good at, it was being oblivious to other people being uncomfortable; Vali included. He'd gotten so accustomed to his brother being uncomfortable in every situation that it seemed almost normal for others to be on-edge at all times. The small child in his arms shifted a bit as he pulled back from the hug and he smiled awkwardly, shifting the little girl to a more stable position. The grin on his face only broadened when he was told to save his money, especially since one of the things he was told to save it for was 'snacks'. Snacks! Like, from a real amusement park! That they were actually going to!! It was like a dream come true!!
His talons clicked on the floor as he tried to hold down his boiling excitement, tail wagging behind him like that of an over-excited puppy. He nodded in agreement when Vali approved of his needing-to-bring-the-relatives argument, and he gestured to the sleepy-looking redhead that was holding onto one of Damien's hands, smiling shyly at the stranger. "The redheaded one is my nephew, Damien's son. His name's Dayo," Gabriel introduced, before gesturing to the child in his arms and the one in Damien's in turn. "This is Demetre and Copeka; they're both Lira and Aludra's kids, who Damien watches so much that they may as well be his, too~" he joked, giggling a bit.
"So, so, so should we go in then?" the patience child asked excitedly, the sleepy girl in his arms peering at the sloth boy quietly. She gave a little smile when he spoke to her, kicking her legs gently in the air and babbling a few nonsense words.
Unlike Gabriel, Damien was adept at sensing the emotions of others, so he was well aware how uncomfortable Vali was. The Wrath spawn was, however, unsympathetic; it's not like he was looking forward to keeping three very young children in line in a big scary amusement park as well as try and keep an eye on his oh-so-naive brother. He smiled wryly when Dayo was introduced, softly tugging the child so that he was less behind him, and nodded at Gabriel's suggestion. "Might as well, huh? Come on, Dayo, let's go stand in line for the park."
As they positioned themselves, Damien found it hard to repress a small excited smile. As much as he was trying to hide it, he was just as excited as Gabriel to actually be able to go to a real amusement park, and not even have to worry about paying! He may not have the greatest estimation of Vali, but there was no doubt that this was an extremely nice thing for the sloth spawn to do for them.

Vali gave a nod of his head, "Well you guys can go ahead and stand in line to get in or wait near the entrance and I will get back in line to get tickets for the youngsters." He said and then he moved his covered body back towards the line. This day was already shaping up to a bit mistake and he was regretting having ever thought of this. First Gabriel wanted to bring Damien then now there were three children. Well he would rather have the children any day compared to someone he knew did not like him. Well maybe this day would start looking better soon. One could hope right? Maybe, if there was a next time, he would bring someone to be on his side. At least this time he was sure this would not end up in tears or with him missing his pants. And his body was covered enough so that Damien would not be offended and Gaberil seemed far to distracted to worry about seeming himself in his 'living mirror'.
