Ever since she found herself a mortal, Kori was put through trial after rigorous trial.. all within just months. Thankfully, she had a friendly wild dog and a generous ratel as companions. She knew she would be a mess without them. And if Hoco had never found her to begin with... she'd be nothing more than vulture scraps.
The white lioness sighed as she rested on the firm earth, the moist grass blades tickling her sensitive paws. It was a little more quiet than usual. Faeris had been gone on a hunt since dawn, and Hoco was tending to the boys who were insistent on rolling in the mud. Now it was just her in the company of her two little girls. Kori embraced the silence, she knew it wouldn't last much longer. The lioness shifted to gaze at Pikushi, who was still sleeping away the day. Kori hoped it wasn't because she was sick... but she was reassured when she tried to take the cub in her paws. Pikushi retaliated with a squirm and a whine, crawling away and settling at a safe distance. Kori chuckled fondly, turning to check on her other daughter.
"Tisztess?" Kori called when she didn't spot the blue cub immediately. Had she hidden in the tall grass?

Indeed little Tisztess had wandered from the females of the family, having been quite entranced by the hopping of a cricket. She followed him diligently, eyes blinking only on occasion as if fearful she may miss something amazing happen! And she was right to do so, as the little insect gave a high pitch creaking sound from time to time. It was simply delightful! Enough to make the young lioness purr in response to attempt a sort of tune that the bug created. Tail writhing slowly like a snake, in a crouched almost pounce like position, the cub hardly reacted to her mother's call, far to enthralled with the cricket before her. He stood out rather apparently, his dark jet black covering like a pinpoint on top of the soil. Strangely enough, he seemed unphased by the personal space oblivious cub who's nose was right up in his face. The bug simply stood there, legs rubbing randomly, Tisztess returning the sound with her purr.

Kori's brief anxiety was tamed as she spied the flickering blue tail not far from her resting place. The lioness casually strolled up behind her, observing her daughter interact with the oblivious insect. How a cub could be captivated by such an insignificant thing like a bug was beyond Kori's comprehension. She couldn't even give the things a passing glance without becoming painfully bored.
"Tiszetess, sweetheart." Kori leaned and whispered, careful not to startle her or the bug. The term of endearment came out oddly, she wasn't used to using them... But it just felt right. "What are you doing?" Kori giggled, glancing at the bug before licking her daughter's forehead. "Have you made a friend?"
