- As the universes lay blank, the great Maker appeared to rid the void of its emptiness. He laid his power to work and created a vast galaxy of stars and mystery. Seeing that his creations needed beauty and color, he gave them an artistic touch, so divine and wonderful. To warm them, he created the Sun, a massive power of infinite strength. Of these massive stars (planets) he gave to one life, known as earth. Putting his power to work, he created blue sky's and vast oceans, vegetation and rocky mountains. Terrain and beauty he blessed. Seeing that the earth was growing in radiance, he then allowed man to be born from the heart of nature. He created also the spirit of man, and that it should not die when the body was gone, giving the ability of the spirit realms, as the spirit he left to grow on its own and not with his help. Though he saw that man was not able to take care of himself, so, the maker created caretakers known as fal'cie, beings of terrible power yet with none to themselves, for their powers were confined to the use of maintaining life and nothing more. These fal'cie were to watch over and help grow man, from food to shelter, from good weather to aiding in the protection, the fal'cie watched over man, and allowed him to grow. The maker then saw that the fal'cie would need a caretaker of their own, thus he created the most beautiful and powerful fal'cie of all, Eden. The fal'cie resided along side man, they were able be seen by man, but Eden herself spoke to the humans. The Maker saw that man would soon be able to live on his own, and he decided that the fal'cie would only be a temporary provision, as man was rapidly growing in thought and intelligence.
As man did grow and the makers life began to fade, he declared that on the day of mans birth into independence, the fal'cie should exist no more, fading into a dream as he shall do. Speaking these words to Eden, the maker faded out of time and history. Eden, however, did not follow the plans set before her. True as it was, the Maker had placed a limit on their influences over man, and that at some point their usefulness would fade, however, Eden, baring greed for power, created a new realm in which they would live, the realm known as Cocoon. Creating an earth similar to that which she had watched over for thousands of years, though nearly half its size, taking with her the other fal'cie and their governing powers, she swept away a cluster of humans from earth and brought them into her dwelling world. Here, the humans multiplied and only after a few hundred years all of the world of Cocoon was inhabited by the life that the Maker had made, millions of lives walked the planet, a place of such advance technology, it was incomparable to anything that existed on earth. Seeing as she had great strength, she then attempted to create her own life, only for it to end in a miserable monstrosity. Eden attempted many times to create life, and each time ending in failure, she soon realized after so many failures that she did not posses the immense strengths of the Maker. Now, a world she once created to allow humans to inhabit and for her and the other fal'cie to nurture and protect, Eden has changed her intentions and now plans to sacrifice the entire populace of not only Cocoon but that of the human world also in order to summon the Makers powers and gain the ability of creation. Eden had no strength over the human world, but after a thousand years of searching the limitless power that the Maker left behind for her to use to govern all life, including the fal'cie, known as Orphan, she discovered that this power still had a connection to the humans in the world of the living. No knowing this, she twisted Orphans power to connect its life form to that of the human world, for she planned to have Orphan slain, and without Orphan not only would Cocoon and all their fal'cie fall, which would completely disable the world and kill everyone within, but if Orphans life should end, the so too shall the lives of billions in the human world, for Orphans heart now pulsed as one with them.
Eden, however, knew should the other fal'cie learn of her plan, they would turn against her and with the imbalance of power, the world would fall apart, however not in the way that Eden would need in order to summon the Maker, Orphan needed to be slain not simply fade, and if the other fal'cie should indeed turn against her merely due to knowing her heart then the plans which she had sought to fulfill could not be carried out and Eden would simply fade. Eden faced a dilemma however, Orphan could not be slain by a fal'cie or by any creations they themselves would create. Naturally she, in secret, created L'cie in order to attempt to destroy it, but human L'cie were too weak. It was at this time that the realm of spirits, or the Seireitei, was created, and Edens attention fully became focused on their unusual powers, it had been nearly a century as Eden watched them develop, and after a prolonged time, she decided that these beings would create the perfect tools in which to slay Orphan. The first Shinigami had been visited once by a fal'cie and warned about Eden, that Shinigami had passed on the story of the Maker and the fal'cie for generations, however, it is a story known only to the Captain Commander of each succeeding generation, that fal'cie was never seen or heard of again.
However, a handful of fal'cie rose up against Eden alone, accusing the fal'cie of going against the Makers issued orders, for this, she banished them to the realm of Pulse, a place similar to a primitive earth, primeval, nothing more than great grasslands and high mountains. It was there that the 'Pulse' fal'cie were born, their powers differing after what seemed a life time, becoming sworn enemies of the Eden fal'cie and of Cocoon. Eden maintained her cause to keep Orphan safe, and, though long and difficult, convinced all other fal'cie that it was the Makers wish for them to live on as they were. Though Eden knew that when her plan was fulfilled, all fal'cie that she had deceived so greatly would all die, and she, only temporarily weakened.
