Teykali's scrambled brain hadn't really gotten any less scrambled in the entire time he'd gone missing from where he was supposed to be. But he had clips that weren't so painful to view. Images of a few soquili that were familiar, but he wasn't exactly sure who they were yet.
He stood puzzling over this smaller conundrum as he looked out into the dark forest, then he turned back and stared at the high sun. It was either hang about in the shade for a few hours, or sweat out his brain in the merciless sun. He snorted to himself and went to find somewhere decently shady, but well protected to nap out for awhile.
He sighed, with his head injury, he'd taken to napping quite a bit, especially during the daylight hours. It was almost as though his internal clock had been flipped, but then hanging about with a fairly nocturnal Kalona, and a crazy two-legger could do wonders for making your schedule completely erratic. He flopped down, the ringing in his ears not as severe as usual and watched the horizon with disinterest. He wondered a little what the day would bring for him.

Kai trotted along the edge of the forest, no bigger than the size of a pony. Her wings flickered with the light breeze as she moved fluidly across the grounds.
As she trotted about, the mare thought of her family. Three out of her six siblings had had foals, Aki and Athosia hadn't had any yet...and she didn't know if Tey had. She surely hadn't any- she wasn't ready to. She frowned as she thought of her missing brother- her favourite brother. Shaking her head, she sighed; she knew she'd hear from him sooner or later. Her thoughts then turned to her nieces and nephews. Oh, how she adored them...even if they were mainly taller than her.
Tossing her head, she was glad that she was in the shade. It was hot out, the sun beat down on her unrelentingly. The large trees provided a nice cover, giving her some reprieve from the harsh sun. Looking out, she noticed a few soq here and there- none of them really catching her attention. Facing forward once more, the mare spotted another close by, napping, from the looks of it. He looked vaguely familiar. Walking over to him, she nudged him.

Soft brown eyes fluttered open again at being nudged. It wasn't a big nudge, something small was poking at him. He turned his head with a curious look to his face. There was a pony sized female. Was she a Usdia? No, her proportions were correct, rather than the stocky little ponies he'd seen wandering around before. He examined her stature and the wings on her back, and her coloration. She was quite a curious sort of Soquili, and she seemed oddly familiar to him.
Deciding he wasn't going to get a good nap in today, he gave a pleasant smile, "And who might you be?" His tone was soft but still with a bit of pain in the background, hardly noticeable as he spoke to her in his friendly manner.

"Kai." The mare spoke with a gentle lilt to her voice. She tilted her head. "Sorry for waking you. It's just...you look familiar, and so I had to come see..."
The more she spoke, the more foolish she felt. Who woke others up from nice naps just because they looked familiar? She couldn't deny that he did look like her brother, though looks could easily change. Even if he was her sibling...how was she to know if he wanted to be found? Shifting her weight from what side to the other, the small mare sighed; unsure of what to say to the larger male.
"I wasn't thinking...I really am sorry to have woken you. What's your name?" She probably sounded slightly more bossy then intended, but her nerves were getting the best of her.

He frowned a bit at the name, it seemed more familiar, but it wasn't as familiar as it could have been. Maybe she'd been a passing friend to him. Or something.
He smiled lightly as she tried to ramble and seemed to be more and more nervous with each passing moment, apologizing about bothering him, "It's quite alright. I...Just nap during the day when my head hurts is all. So no trouble to have it interrupted, I wasn't particularly tired." He was going to try and make sure she didn't feel bad about interrupting his sleep. It was perfectly fine.
His face gave way to a wry sort of grin as she asked bossily what his name was, though he chalked it up to her being nervous. It was kind of funny to him, but rather than be mean, he shrugged, "Teykali. About the only thing I remember since the fall." He smiled, warm brown eyes almost laughing at his own expense, but a bit of sadness darkened them as well. He was distracted by that thought again, wondering why he'd fallen, and what had been going on before the fall.

"Well...naps are a good way of getting rid of headaches, if you ask me! Either way, waking someone is rude of me." Kai, while not always lady like, had been raised with manners. Plus, she didn't like when others woke her up, so why would someone else want to be woken up? Especially by a curious stranger.
Upon hearing his name, the mares eyes widened. Knowing that it was her brother, and yet hearing him say it was the only thing he remembered since the fall had her unsure of what to do or say. "...fall? S-so you don't remember your f-f-family?" Her voice wavered at the word. In her opinion, family was family, and you loved them no matter what. She couldn't imagine what her life would be like if she didn't remember any of them.
Shaking her head, she plastered a rather convincing smile to her face. "It's nice to meet you, Teykali." With those words said, Kai decided she was going to stick around and see if she could help make him remember. After all, she could always find her father and other brothers to help, too, if need be.

He smiled a bit at her somewhat rambling explanation and thinking it rude of waking someone up. He had been watching her as he spoke his name, and something caused her eyes to widen, was it his name? Did she know him?
"No, I don't even know if I have any family...father, mother, brother, sister. " He sighed, he did that a lot, and even more so when trying to think of who he was before he'd smashed his head, "I could have children that I don't know about..." He looked pained, "I feel like a fool, not knowing anything about my past...but, I can't do anything but move forward for now."
He was looking at her more intently, trying to figure out if she knew him before he smacked his head, "I haven't even met anyone who knows me either. So, not sure what to do about the universe in general, but not worrying for the time being." He smiled though the throbbing at the back of his head was getting worse,an image of a mare from his younger days, "I know this is forward, but do you know me?"

She frowns at hearing just how much he doesn't know about his family. She couldn't imagine a life of not knowing them, or knowing if she had had kids or not. "It's not your fault that you don't remember, ya know? Maybe if you do have kids...maybe they'll find you one day?"
At his question, she pauses. How do you respond to that? 'Yeah, you're my brother'? That'd go over well. What if he didn't want to know? Or what if he did but it didn't mean much to him because he didn't remember? Dwelling on questions, though, wouldn't do much good. So, taking a deep breath, Kai nodded. Keeping it simple was the best way to go. She'd let him ask her the questions. Maybe it'd trigger something, she thought.

Teykali nodded to the first answer, if he had children, surely one of them would be curious enough...and if nothing else he could always ask Topper or Shoshana if they'd seen anyone who looked similar to him. He sighed, wondering how long ago it might have happened...if his theoretical foals had been abandoned early on or if he'd raised them to adulthood, and seen them off and mated. What if he had a mate?
He shook himself from his thoughts to see Kai nod. She knew him....A thousand questions flooded his head, searing pain did as well, he grimaced and looked up at her from where he was laying, "You know me? How? When? Do I have family? Sisters? Brothers? Mother? Father? Mate? Do I have children?" His dark eyes pleaded for answers, then shifted to realize that might overload his head, "I...need to think more...Don't answer any of that...just...give me a moment."
He took a breath, and thought for a moment, clearing his mind of all the questions he had rambled, "Who are you to me, Kai?" He knew she was familiar, but he wasn't sure how, and he wanted desperately to know, if maybe he'd found his link to the past, maybe this mare could open the doors that he couldn't open on his own, in the least she could tell him, so he wasn't completely lost anymore.

Opening her mouth, ready to sprout out answers, Kai promptly shut her mouth upon hearing him ask for a moment. She studied him, as he thought, taking in the expressions that passed over his face.
She tilted her head upon his question. "Erm...I'm your sister." That would do. Short and to the point. Kai looked at him, wondering if he was remember things or not.

Teykali blinked at the answer she gave him, she was his sister, least that was what she was saying. He peered at her face , trying to place it somewhere in his memory...He sighed, "Well, at least I now know I have a sister...I don't remember it, but I know you are my sister now." Even though he had a more suspicious nature he was very trusting of those around him, and hoping that they were being truthful rather than trying to deceive him.
"Well, Do I have any other siblings I need to know about?" He smirked lopsidedly, despite not remembering them, it was oddly comforting to know he wasn't completely alone, but there was another worry that sprang to mind, what of children? Did anyone know if he'd had foals with someone? He'd have to ask that next. Wondering absently how close he had really been to his family.

The small mares' eyes were wide as Teykali took what she said in. A slight nod was the only indication she gave at the fact that she'd heard him. Her eyes welled slightly with tears at the memories her brother couldn't remember- she was unable to even contemplate not remembering the faces of her family.
Upon hearing his question, she gave a more solid nod.
"Yeah. There's Athosia, Akili, Torren John, Nikolai, you, Davos, and I. In that order. Torren, Akili, and I are the only ones who inherited Dad's wings, though." She had a slight smile embracing her face as she spoke her siblings names. She only saw Akili and Nikolai on a regular basis, but family would always mean a lot to her.

His eyes widened at the number of siblings he had, "My, our parents were quite busy." He chuckled a bit, "Ah, so we're part..what is it called, Flutter?" He couldn't help but smirk, "That explains why other stallions are a bit bigger than I am." At least he was making a few jokes, but his eyes turned serious for a moment and he looked at his sister deeply in thought.
"Do you know if I've had any children?" The question hung in his mind like the broken limb of a tree, still dangling by a bit of bark. He hoped she might have an answer, but if she did not, then that would be something he'd have to find.

Kai choked lightly. One thing she could live her life without ever hearing again would be the mention of her parents being busy. That was...ewww. Of course, at the next question, the mare turned her head and snorted. Flutter indeed.
"Heh...us? Flutter...nah! Yeah, that would explain why others are a bit bigger than you are. Though, we do have part wind in us somewhere, too, apparently..." She gave a light grin. Their grandfather was the only wind in the family, but he was wind enough in her opinion.
She shook her head at his question, "I...don't know. I hadn't seen you in a while. The last time I saw you, you didn't have any...but since then? I just don't know. I know that Niko and Torren both have children...but as far as I know, they're the only two. Have you seen others who look like you?"

He chuckled when she choked a bit, then smirked when she made her own jokes about their lineage, it was pleasant to have a good talk with his family.
There was a slightly clouded look in his eyes, "Not as of yet. I haven't seen a single stallion or mare that looks anything like me." He shrugged his shoulders, it was the truth, he hadn't seen anyone, but somewhere in the mash of his mind he had this distinct feeling that there was someone...
His face twitched oddly in pain as a flash of brown fur slammed into his head, then faded away, "I have this feeling I may have done a terrible thing, but I'm not sure what." The commentary was more so to himself than to Kai.
In a way Teykali felt relief knowing he wasn't alone in the world, but what if he'd failed at being a parent to his own children? That was a deep worry of his that would nag at him even more, "Well, at least our family hasn't gotten too large...or has it?" He wondered how many cousins he had, and how many nieces and nephews, and perhaps even more distant relatives. It was something to be curious about, and who better to ask than his sister who was right here now?
