Hidden within the Fire country lies a strange forest known only to the Aburame Clan. Within this forest lurk no animals, or villages. Instead the forest is the home of countless species of bugs many of which can be used as tools to a shinobi who knows how to use them. This land is where a bug user can find such legendary insects as the fabled Bikouchuu beetle.
Bug System Aburame Special Bug System
Bug Container- D A box used to hold up to 4 unusual bugs. Can hold any necessary food and/or water, to keep the bugs alive. Container has separate slots for each bug to keep them from attacking each other and allow them to be released one at a time. If destroyed, all bugs are killed. Only bug users can put bugs in container. Any ninja can carry. Releasing a bug counts as a jutsu. Can only carry one box.
Bugs: All bugs share these weaknesses (unless otherwise noted) its just one bug. These can be killed easily, and have very limited uses (one unless you gathered more)
Quests: C-ranked To collect any bugs C-ranked or higher the collectors must go to the Bug Forest. Needs at least one Aburame to collect the bug. Once they make it there, they have 5 posts to find the bug. Every turn, they are to roll dice. If the proper number is rolled, the bug(s) is found. Can search for up to 4 total bugs per quest. (5 posts each) roll a normal 4 sided die. If you get a one, you get what you are looking for, if not... Then it was a failed attempt.
Bikouchuu- B Requires a quest to collect The species lays eggs on very rare occasions, during a certain breeding season; a day following a rainstorm. Soon after one hatches, it goes into the pupa stage. After this, it is not long before it metamorphoses into an adult. Bug users are drawn to the bikōchū because of the fact that the first scent that the beetle detects after its metamorphosis stays in its memory, so whenever it smells it again it tries to get to the source of the scent. This is what makes Bikōchū coveted, since it can be used as a formidable tracking device. Once collected, the finding village must wait at least 1 rl month to collect attempt recollection. Bug automatically reacts to the strongest scent present at birth. Egg hatches at the end of the 5 posts.
Sunset Butterfly- D Can be located in Aburame Compounds using Mushi Yose no Jutsu A common bug, the Sunset butterfly can be used outside of combat to calm a target. When released, an Aburame can guide it towards a target. When the butterfly lands, it releases a aroma that soothes the target. This calms them down and makes them less observant. It they are already really tired, it will make them even more so. If the target is in combat, it's basically useless. Even if it manages to land. After releasing, if the target is in sight you can simply point and tell the butterfly where to go. (Aburame only of course)
Demon Tracking Spider- C Requires Quest to collect The jumping Spider is the natural predator of the Aburame's Kikaichuu beetles. When released, it will target any nearby kikaichuu bugs or females. This can be an effective method of finding bug spies. Any of the user's bugs must be withdrawn for them to remain safe. The spider cannot survive against a whole swarm, only 3 at once. Is faster than Kikaichuu beetles, so prey cannot easily escape.
MoleBug- D can be located at Aburame Compounds using Mushi Yose no Jutsu MoleBugs can burrow through the ground, leading up to 1 swarm of Kikaichuu. This method can be used to attack enemies from behind, or inside of natural hideaways. Can only burrow through dirt and sand.
StinkBug- E Can be located anywhere using Mushi Yose no Jutsu. Releases a foul odor if scared or damaged. Smells like a bad fart.

[enter from forest surrounding the fire country] Eventually their path became even harder to navigate. Tree growth became thicker and the sun was blotted out by the tall canopy of the massive trees they had to move around. It wouldn't be much further until they reached the land were the various bugs of the world had ensnared for themselves. Very rarely did a strange animal wander into this land, and because of this insects that have long died off elsewhere are able to prosper. Asuka stopped for another break, noting that the forest was becoming dark. Hibari would probably have them set up camp, but if he didn't they would continue into the forest. Asuka kept herself from warning that the insects were a lot less friendly once night fell.

Hibari Dragonil Genin | Black Salamander
There is a dragon hidden in the clouds [Enter]
The surroundings looked completely different from when they started walking into the forest. Huge trees that, together, blocked part of the sunlight during the day. But it was already getting dark, even outside the forest. The moonlight wouldn't be of much use at a later hour, for now it would be better for them to cease their march and set up a camp. After Asuka's break, Hibari had decided. "Before it gets even darker, we're going to stop and find ourselves a place to set up camp." the genin told them with a tone that gave no room for doubt nor talking back. At the same time, he looked around for a place suitable, that would allow them to rest during the night. It would not take too long before finding one. The terrain of the forest was quite irregular, but there were few areas that were plain. Hibari had found one and led the team there. It was between five trees, the terrain was good to set up camp and there was no trace of animals nearby. But it wasn't just between those five trees that Hibari didn't find other animals. Since they had gotten deeper into the forest, along with the change of the scenery he didn't notice anything other than some insects that he could barely notice and hid very quickly because of the group. "Asuka, I'll need your knowledge about what may be a threat to us during the night. That'll allow us to know how to act and not do anything reckless." he said with a serious expression. At that point, Hibari hoped that Asuka had some common sense and would not act in a rude manner as there was no reason to do so.

「Haruka Tsukai」 ══════════════════════════════════════════ Genin ◆ Medical ◆ Chakra Focusing Gloves Mind's Eye of the Kagura ◆ Poisoner ══════════════════════════════════════════ Enter from Forest around the land of fire Haruka followed Hibari and Asuka as they walked deeper into the forest. Their path became harder to keep on moving but there was nothing they could do about it, they had to continue. As she followed them, the daylight was already leaving them. The forest was slowly becoming darker as they walked. Asuka made another break and right after it, Hibari made a decision and gave an order. 'Set up camp...alright...' Haruka understood and nodded accepting his decision. At that moment, Hibari really looked like someone who could be relied on.
As soon as the leader gave the order, Haruka started to look around to find a place that would be good enough, but Hibari had already found one. She, along with the team, was led there. A plain terrain with just a few trees surrounding it. They would set up camp there but she didn't know from where to start. She had never gone in a mission outside the village so she'd need some instructions. Also, just as Hibari asked Asuka, without knowing about what could cause harm them during the night, it could be stupid to start right away. ══════════════════════════════════════════ Ͼhakra Ҏoints - 31/31

Enter from Forest around the land of fire
Sora came in after Haruka, a lollipop in her mouth. While travelling in the back, the girl had gotten hungry--truth be told, half of her bento actually wasn't enough--and so had resorted to raiding her bag of sweets, which she always carried with her. Asuka, who was actually Nagisa, might know where the origin of the candy was, having known Sora for so long; however, the others most likely didn't. "Right! Right!" the girl replied with her usual cheer to Hibari's order to set up camp, her tone slightly muffled as she kept her teeth clamped together to keep the lollipop from dropping.
The next moment, Sora was weaving in and out of the outskirts of the clearing and the trees, picking up a wide variety of branches. Every now and then, she'd dash back into the middle and then put her branches down, first in one pile then in another. In total, there were three piles. The first had smaller pieces of wood, kindling, that the girl only needed one round to collect. The other two contained either dry wood or wet wood. These Sora alternated her rounds collecting. Dry wood created less smoke while wet wood created more. Sora planned, . Thus, her separation of dry and wet wood.
Truthfully, Sora was completely unprepared for a camp out. She only had one meal and that was already eaten. Furthermore, the girl had nothing to sleep in. Of course, judging from the weather at the moment, she wouldn't need anything to sleep in. The lack of information didn't deter Sora, however, and she did everything she could to collect more. The girl kept a close eye on her surroundings and made sure that she was always close enough to hear every single one of Asuka's words on the bugs. Such multitasking was normal for the girl. How else could she have passed through the academy with flying colors despite being distracted by one thing or another for most of the classes?

((Sorry, been busy, and I am doubly sorry that I can't seem to turn out a decent post.)) When asked about any dangers of the forest Asuka pulled a large net out of her bag and threw it to Hibari, and answered simply. "It might not be a bad Idea to put this up" There were indeed dangers of the forest, but a simple bug net surrounding them as they sleep would suffice. While there were indeed larger bugs near the center of the village, they rarely posed much danger unless provoked. "Also, I really recommend not handling any strange bugs. The most dangerous ones tend to be the small innocent looking ones." She brushed a poisonous beetle off of Sora's shoulder and started preparing the dry wood for a fire. Only Aburame were supposed to know about the forest, but that was no reason to risk a smoky fire. Asuka knew that smoke would indeed be useful if they didn't have the bugnet.
As she started the fire, Asuka called out to the team. "So how long are you guys prepared to stay here for? You got food and stuff?" It was a question that should have been asked by the leader before the mission started, but Asuka did need to know what kind of situation they were in. There was food in the forest of course, but it would probably not be to the young shinobi's tastes. Haruka hadn't even had lunch, so she would certainly need something else. Sora had already raided her candy bag, which could mean that she had nothing else or just her sweet tooth. Asuka had food prepared for up to three days, but being the grouch that she was would probably not share much.

"Ah, thank you," Sora replied as Asuka brushed a beetle off of her. She hadn't noticed the bug but even if she had she would have ignored it. She sought to get a good look at it so she could recognize it for future reference. However, before she had the chance, the insect was lost to the gloom.
At Asuka's question about supplies, Sora pulled out her bag of candy, which was still quite full. Honestly, all she had pulled out was a lollipop. It would have been indecent, at least in the girl's mind, to pig out on sweets during a mission, especially considering her tendency to get extremely hyper when on sugar. "All the food I have left are these sweets and I don't have much in terms of camping equipment, not even a blanket," the girl explained with embarrassment as she presented the bag, "Sorry, I kind of just rushed in for the mission without really knowing anything about it. It was foolish of me to not have planned things out a bit more. Although, judging from the current weather conditions, I think we can sleep as we are without freezing to death. As for the food.... Is there any wildlife here except for bugs? If not, are there edible bugs here?". Towards the end of her statement, the girl began to look inquisitively at the surroundings, testing them with her senses. She didn't have super smell or eyesight or anything of that sort, but that didn't mean she was completely useless when it came to observing. Actually, she was quite good at observing.

Hibari Dragonil Genin | Black Salamander
There is a dragon hidden in the clouds Hibari caught the large net that was thrown to him. He took a look at it as Asuka spoke. If that net was enough then it meant it would probably be an easy night...or not. Whatever the case, Hibari took the net with him as he prepared somethings to put the net up. He opened his backpack and pulled out a small tool box. He didn't place it there on the day he left his apartment but he knew it was there because he always keeps those tools within his backpack. Opening it, there were some nails, with the tip bent so it could have something held onto it, Hibari didn't need a hammer to set the nails, for that he'd use the tip of his tonfa. He placed some nails on each tree, allowing him to set the large net around them without much trouble. He nailed it without much force, so it would be able to recove the net and nails without damaging anything in case they would spend another night in the forest. But it would be hard for an animal to pull it out. There weren't nails just on the trees, but on the ground aswell, to make the net fixed to the ground while they were there. The net wasn't close to the fire, it wouldn't be damaged by the flames unless the fire grew stronger for some reason. Once he was done preparing that, he turned back to Asuka. "I have food for two more days and a half. I don't mind sharing it though if needed." he answered calmly, while he put the tool box back inside his backpack. By the time he did that, the only light in the forest was the one produced by the camp fire.

「Haruka Tsukai」 ══════════════════════════════════════════ Genin ◆ Medical ◆ Chakra Focusing Gloves Mind's Eye of the Kagura ◆ Poisoner ══════════════════════════════════════════ While Hibari set up the net that would protect them from the insects, Haruka wondered what was left for her to do. Sora had acted first and collected enough wood to start the fire and then Asuka lit the wood. A feeling of uselessness was bothering her. 'What is there for me to do now? Do we have tents or something?' she wondered but it didn't seem that any of them had enough equipment that could be used as tents. At least, not that was visible.
Asuka's question was exactly what she didn't want to hear, about how prepared they were for the mission. The other two answered first, from the looks of it Hibari was the most prepared one, among the genin of course. "I am not that prepared...I don't have anything other than my daily equipment...Sorry if I'm a nuisance..." she said with a low voice. "But if there is anything for me to do, I will do!" she said trying to make up for the nuisance she would be for them. ══════════════════════════════════════════ Ͼhakra Ҏoints - 31/31

Hibari seemed to be the best prepared, though it was difficult to tell if it would last long enough for him to eat it all. Depending on their luck they could be out of here tomorrow or they could be here a week. "I'm no ninja, but I do know standard aburame techniques... I'll catch you two some dinner." She slapped her hand on the ground. "We'll need to get the bugs out from here anyways or the net will be useless." A thin glowing web extended from her fingers and snapped to the ground. Bugs began filtering out of hiding places all over the campsite, under rocks, behind leaves and under their camping gear. Using this, she moved slowly around the campsite until she collected a large group of insects in the middle. Asuka motioned towards Haruka who was falling behind on chores. "I need you to get two bags for me please, and hold them open so I can get rid of these guys."

「Haruka Tsukai」 ══════════════════════════════════════════ Genin ◆ Medical ◆ Chakra Focusing Gloves Mind's Eye of the Kagura ◆ Poisoner ══════════════════════════════════════════ Haruka's ears made her wish she did not hear what Asuka spoke. "C-catch us...dinner?" she asked with a low tone, probably Asuka wouldn't have heard it. So many bugs gathering as they were "called" by the Aburame scholar. The thought of eating an insect disgusted her to an extent that couldn't be measured. Without being able to go against her decision, Haruka hoped Sora or Hibari would say something about it. 'I don't want to eat insects!!!' She picked up two empty bags among the camping gear and kept them open so Asuka could...get rid of those insects... ══════════════════════════════════════════ Ͼhakra Ҏoints - 31/31 (Scorpio! Kage! ((Am not!!! I wonder if they will hold this mission against Nagisa once they find out the truth?)) Asuka started picking through the bugs one at a time, alternating between the bags every now and then. Occasionally she would inspect a bug closely before throwing it into the bag. It was likely Hibari would offer some of his own food to the girls, but if he didn't, or if they ran out of food before the mission was over, they would get a valuable lesson. She had noticed the girl's expression, and it wasn't exactly unexpected, so she explained. "Shouldn't ninja know a thing or two about basic survival? A lot of the time animals aren't a possibility for food. You have to rely on herbs, fruits and insects for your meals."
"Unfortunately, I'm not an herbologist, I'm an entomologist. If you choose the right ones, bugs can be a healthy alternative to starving to death. Admittedly they don't always taste great, but I'm sorting the edible ones from the poisonous or less tasteful varieties." She of course wasn't in any hurry to eat any herself. She had never had the misfortune of being that desperate for food. The genin needed to start learning fact of the shinobi's life which can be all but glamorous. "Just grill em up and you've got a nice sack of snacks. Heck, if you like them you can keep em as a trail mix for the mission!" She plucked the last bug up and tossed it into the bag and started cleaning her hands. "Besides, you'd be amazed the kinds of places that bugs can survive that normal animals cannot."
Asuka smiled. She was a little proud of her disguise. She had been able to fake the scholar role perfectly so far. Fortunately, it was difficult for an Aburame to grow up without learning a wealth of necessary, and unnecessary facts about bugs.

(OOC: Truthfully, Sora would prefer sugar over proteins any day but Sora's the happy-go-lucky type that sees everything in a positive light so....) Sora smiled cocked her head to one side with an eager interest as she observed Asuka sorting through the bugs before jumping up a bit, a larger smile of discovery on her face as she suddenly thought of something. "Excuse me!" was the only rushed excuse Sora gave before dashing off and exiting underneath the bug net that had been set around the clearing. A couple hand seals and a whispered phrase later, the girl's body began to glow steadily with the Yurayura Ranpu no Jutsu. She didn't plan on going far, but she did need the extra light to see the needed details. After darting from one spot to another, but never losing sight of the campground, the girl came back underneath the bug net with what seemed to be a handful of leaves, grass, and other forms of plant life. Panting slightly, Sora showed them to the group and explained, "Herbs," as she dimmed the light emanating from her body. She then knelt on the ground and began sorting and cleaning to the best of her abilities the plants she had brought. There were two main groups, seasonings to make the bugs taste better and those that could be eaten by themselves. While Sora had never studied extensively on herbs, the girl was a sponge for knowledge and her entire family, both immediate and extended, were civilians. Unlike a shinobi family, which would focus on one or two things, civilian families were extremely varied and often had close friends/acquaintances that would simply increase the variety. For this particular knowledge, the girl had gained it from one of her mother's friend, a woman who co-owned a plant nursery with her husband and grew a herb garden of her own. Sora, being the hyperactive girl she was, often helped the woman out as she did with nearly everyone else. In the course of helping her out, the girl gained quite a bit of general knowledge on the various herbs. Sure, there were plenty of plants in the area that the girl didn't recognize, but there were also plants that were common to both Fire Country and Lightning Country. Yurayura Ranpu no Jutsu (Flickering Light Technique) Description: Charging electrical chakra throughout the Cloud-Nin's entire body the shinobi makes his skin light up giving it a bright glow that can allow him to see it at night. Hibari Dragonil Genin | Black Salamander
There is a dragon hidden in the clouds Hibari simply observed as Asuka came with the idea of eating insects. He was indeed surprised that none of them refused. Another fact that made surprise, was that Sora went out of the camping area to get herbs to improve the taste of the food. 'I guess this is more than I expected.' he thought and then decided to give his opinion, not as the leader but as a shinobi of Kumogakure. "I understand that you are thinking of them and those bugs would indeed be edible. Not that I know much about bugs but let's keep it as our last resource, alright? From the looks of it, there is the possibility of the mission being over sooner than expected right? If that is so and they eat insects, most of the food I've prepared would go to waste." he said with his calm tone. The way he spoke made it look like he had prepared too much food, and indeed he prepared a lot of food. For him, that amount was normal, but Hibari had an insatiable stomach and could eat way more than an average person. His backpack was quite big and just by looking at it they wouldn't be able to see it had a lot of food within it. If they were to look at it from a "normal" person's perspective, that food could maybe last five days or so. "As I said before, I don't mind sharing." he said and pulled out three bento from within his backpack. Two of them were for Haruka and Sora, the other one would be his, that is, unless Asuka didn't have more food too.

((It is indeed a problem free philosophy...)) Asuka shrugged. Frankly she was surprised they didn't flat out refuse, most normal people would rather fast for a few days. Sadly, Hibari eventually ended the fun and offered his own food. He took so long to do so, Asuka was beginning to wonder. Even if he was hesitant to do so he was willing to offer some food to the others and that spoke well for him. Asuka pulled a box from her bag and opened it. It had separate compartments for different foods but held several meals worth. She could eat from it then save the rest for later. It wasn't a great meal, but it was certainly better than bugs and grass would have been. As soon as Asuka finished eating she wrapped in a blanket, rested against a tree, and fell asleep.
