Tauros
The Wild Bull Pokémon
The Wild Bull Pokémon

“Tauros, The Wild Bull Pokémon. When it targets an enemy, it charges furiously while whipping its body with its long tails. A rowdy Pokémon with a lot of stamina. Once running, it won't stop until it hits something. They fight each other by locking horns. The herd's protector takes pride in its battle-scarred horns. These violent Pokémon fight with other members of their herd in order to prove their strength. It is not satisfied unless it is rampaging at all times. If there is no opponent for Tauros to battle, it will charge at thick trees and knock them down to calm itself. Once it takes aim at its foe, it makes a headlong charge. It is famous for its violent nature.”

Intimidate=Yes, because Tauros has a rather good Defense, so the decrease in attack stat helps.

-Stone Edge (TM 71)
Other Options
-Pursuit (Lv 15)
-Double-Edge (Gen. 3 MT)
First off I’d like to point out that you should go with a Jolly nature considering that Tauros can match Gengar’s speed. This set up is obviously for physical sweeping, although this set up can fall short if your opponent switches in a poke that isn’t affected by your move, especially if Tauros is locked in with Choice Band. On the other hand giving Tauros a Life Orb will allow Tauros to change moves freely while adding some extra damage, but the cost of HP means Tauros probably be KO’d if damaged. If Tauros does have a Life Orb having it know Pursuit is a better option than Stone Edge. Lastly if you would like you could switch Return for Double-Edge, but the recoil damage will end up killing Tauros and not to mention the hassle of getting it from a Gen. 3 Game.
-Jolly –Anger Point –Leftovers/Salac Berry/Liechi Berry -4 HP -252 Attack -252 Speed
-Substitute (TM 90)
-Return (TM 27)
-Earthquake (TM 26)
-Stone Edge (TM 71)
Honestly I would never use this setup, but it’s here it is either way. The goal with this setup is to put up a Substitute and hope that your opponent lands a critical hit on Tauros, but honestly that is not going to happen often enough for this to work out. As for the suggested items, Leftovers will allow Tauros to heal and possibly be able to set up more Substitutes. The two berries are an option so that when you realize this set up is a horrible fail Tauros will have a small boost to hopefully sweep something before it meets its imminent demise.
-Adamant –Intimidate –Choice Scarf -4 HP -252 Attack -252 Speed
-Return (TM 27)
-Earthquake (TM26)
-Zen Headbutt (Lv 35)
-Stone Edge (TM 71)
This is my own personal setup for Tauros. With this set up Tauros is faster than every other Pokémon other than Deoxys or certain Pokémon with Choice Scarfs, and it also has it maximum attack. The general strategy I go for with this setup is to bring Tauros in after another one of my Pokémon has been KO’d and finish off my opponent’s Pokémon.
5th Gen. Tauros
In 5th Gen Tauros has access to Sheer Force as an ability, but sadly Tauros’ move pool doesn’t have enough moves with a secondary effect to take full advantage of this ability. As for the change in its move pool Tauros can learn two new useful attacks, Retaliate and Wild Charge. Retaliate will make Tauros a great revenge killer due to the STAB and bonus effect if one of your Pokemon fainted on the previous turn. Wild Charge gives Tauros a little wider type coverage so it can’t be easily blocked by certain types, but does cause recoil.
