 Eshkol, also known as Kol to some friends and family, was having a good day so far. Being a romantic he tended to look on the brighter side of life. Sure it was winter, but spring was just around the corner! Today the sky was a nice blue, the air was getting a bit warmer. Hints of green were popping up here and there, and the sound of bird song was becoming more common. The air smelled fresh, and he was alive to enjoy it all!
Well, almost fresh. Kol wrinkled his nose a bit. He was at the outskirts of a city, in that little patch of forest that marked the division between office buildings and suburbia. It wasn't his ideal place to be, but he would admit he grew up in wilderness where the only human touchs were the ruins of an old castle.
His main reason for being here was to meet up with a lady friend of his. Reisa was pretty awesome. She had a quick wits and a biting sense of humor that meshed pretty well with his; he could go through all his levels, from serious romantic to mindless flirt, and she took it all in stride with counters of her own. Didn't take herself too seriously but stood up for her own beliefs, delightfully fun to tease. Oh, and though killer blue eyes. Kol was such a sucker for the eyes.
He knew there was a tribe in the city, but he wasn't sure if Reisa was a part of it or not. She had family in the tribe, some of her many sisters, so she had reason enough to visit. Kol was, of course, a gentleman, so if Reisa wanted to stay in an area where she could be closer to family then of course he'd be the one to come visit her. After all this relationship was definetly one worth cultivating.((I assumed she was either in Phoenix, or lived nearby to visit her family since three or more of her sisters are part of the tribe.))

 ((nah, I don't think I'll tribe her with her sisters, but she does live on the outskirts of Metropolis and visits her family often~ Good call!)) Reisa couldn't help but laugh as her paws took her from another fun visit with her sisters, the ones who were in Phoenix, anyway. It was always so much fun to get together and hang out, but at the end of the day they had a duty and a loyalty, and Reis was a free roamer. Still wearing a big goofy grin, she caught scent of one of many food carts on the streets of the city and decided to help herself to a line of sausage links. Naturally, the human wasn't at all happy with her choice of lunch, and chased her five blocks before losing her. Snickering, the vixen wrapped the links loosely around her neck and munched on one as she headed out of the city.
It was much nicer to be in the little forest strip, a calming peacefulness before she got to the screaming mothers and their rowdy kits playing out in the streets where metal monsters could run them flat. Reisa was just about to perch herself in a tree when the wind ruffled her fur, and brought the scent of another fox... Tilting her head, she sniffed the air again. She knew that scent. Letting out a laugh she trotted in the direction of it. "Eshkol! Haha, what on earth brings you here?"

Well what do know! Looked like Kol had magical thoughts or something, that he was able to pull Reisa to him just by thinking about her. Well, by thinking about her and actively trying to find her. Otherwise she'd have ended up with him before this since Kol did think about the vixen a surprisingly large amount of the time.
"Hey babe, what's happening," he called out, voice filled with cheer, as he took the last couple steps that brought Reisa into view. He nearly burst out laughing; no fox could even pull off the sausages-wrapped-around-neck look without it being totally hilarious, and Reisa, though talented, was no exception to that rule.
"Who's heart did you have to break to get those," he teased, eyes sparkling with his unvoiced mirth.

Her eyes narrowed, though not in a mean way, at the 'babe' comment, but she had to grin at his near-laughing tone. "Oh, just some poor street merchant~" She giggled, unwinding the links as she closed the rest of the distance and dropped the meat between them. "What, you didn't like my scarf?" The vixen pulled inspiration from Erika and tried to fake being insulted, but the grin she still wore made the whole thing fail. "I happened to think it was quite delectable!"
Plopping down and nudging the links toward Kole, she began munching on another. "So, you never answered my question~" Reis poked an accusing paw at the male, which was sort of hard to do when laying on one's belly.

Kol waited until Reisa offered him some of the food and took something for herself before he ate. It was only polite to let ladies choose first, after all. "No, I didn't," he said, winking and nibbling on the end of the sausage link. "I bet if I worked at it I could avoid the question all day too." Kol had noticed before that, just like her eyes did him in, he could distract Reisa with his own sky-blue gaze. He was shameless enough to resort to it too, but he didn't mind answering the question.
"Well, a little birdy told me this was a slamming city to be in. Full of hot babes and everything. He even chirped that I happened to know one of the babes." He tossed Reisa his crooked smile and went back to nibbling on his food.
"As for the scarf, well." While not an action Kol was very good at controlling his expressions, and put on his most serious, "in debate" face ever like he really was trying to offer fashion advice for meat neckwear. "Sorry Ree, I don't think anyone can pull that off. Anyway the grease would soak into your fur and be hard to clean out, then it would stink. I do think I'd have a crying fit if that happened." He made his eyes smolder, then his grin broke the serious expression.

"Would you stop doing that!" Laughing, she chunked a link at him that bounced off his forehead. "You go from flirty to serious then back again so fast it's making my head spin!" As if to add emphasis she shook her ears, the huffed and just stared at him. He wasn't like the other flirty males though, he wasn't a tail chaser like she had first thought, and he could actually be serious if he needed to...
"A little birdy, huh? Sounds to me like that little birdy needs to be eaten!" Reisa gave him a toothy grin, her eyes sparkling with amusement. He had once commented on her eyes... To her it was her only pretty feature, made capturing by the thick black mark around them. The vixen tucked this little weapon away for future use. "Though, the birdy is right." Still grinning, she flicked her tail towards the city. "Have at it, Fido! Go forth and find you a pretty girl!" The comment was regretted the minute she said it, for Reisa knew she just left herself open for more flirting.

Kol chuckled, an impish light gleaming in his eyes. "Ah, but I have a gorgeous girl right in front of me! Why would I wander off into the city for maybes?" He tilted his head, still grinning wickedly. He knew there were pretty girls in the city, since at least a couple of Reisa's sisters lived there, but right now he wanted to.....better define his relationship with Ree. Nothing killed a romance quicker than flirting with siblings!
His face morphed into a mournful expression. "Ah, I see how it is. You would eat my beloved little birdy, my pride and joy and source of information. Truly you are as wicked as you are lovely!" He made his bright blue eyes tear up just a bit so that they were overly bright with unshed (fake) tears.

Playfully narrowing her eyes once more, Reis reached over and wiped a paw over his eye. "Such a sorrowful look, yet needs work. You should meet my sister, Erika. She could teach you how to cry like a pro~" Nodding, the vixen went back to her link, small butterflies dancing inside her as she tried to ignore the 'gorgeous' comment. Seriously, this guy either had really low standards or was half blind! "And yes, I would so eat that little bird and I'm sure it would be oh-so-tastey~"
Finishing her third link and munching down a fourth, she got up and, without thinking, began grooming the fur between Kol's ears. It was something she would do with her sisters, something they did after shared meals, and so it was pretty much habit to Reisa. When she realized what she was doing, she paused mid-lick, shrugged, and just kept on grooming. Really, what was the harm?
((hm... methinks she's starting to like him without even realizing it!))

"It's fine, I'm not really an actor anyway," Kol responded with a low chuckle, a single blink clearing his eyes of the misty appearance so that they glimmered with their usual mischief. He raised an eyebrow as Reisa moved forward and began grooming him, but resisted the urge to comment.
....Okay, resisted the urge for about two minutes. "Wow, have we already progessed to the "bathing together" stage in our relationship," he asked, injecting a hint of a leer into his voice. He couldn't help causing trouble, it was just part of his style.

Oh yes, she SO set herself up for that one, but he didn't have to sound so nasty about it! Reis began to wonder if this male was mood-swingy like this all the time. "Well," She huffed, "You looked dirty and I thought it would only be polite, but if you're going to be that way about it!" She nipped his ear at the base and sprung backwards, giving him a "Come get me back, I dare you' look with her tail slightly wagging.

((Leer doesn't mean a nasty look, it's more of a pervy thing XD Here's a definition.))Kol stood up, a wicked grin on his face. "Well if you insist. I make it a policy to always let the lady set the pace. Don't let me catch you, Ree, or I'll have to claim a prize from you!" And with that the purple male lept forward, intent on this new game of chase.
He wasn't quite sure yet what he'd demand as a prize, but evens to odds were that it would be something to make Reisa smack or n** him. That just caused the mischievous grin on his face to widen a bit more. For some reason Reisa made Kol want to tease her, like a schoolboy with a crush.

"And what if you can't catch me? I'll be claiming a prize~" With a grin that equaled his, she sprung backwards again and raced off in the direction of the city. She knew each ally like the pads of her paws, as long as he wasn't too much faster than her she could lose him, easy. The thing was getting to those allies!
Paws tearing through the grass and then across the pavement, Reisa couldn't help but laugh. She hadn't had this much fun with any fox, let alone a male, as long as she could remember!

((XD Yea, it happens sometimes. I just read a lot, so I pick up stuff to stash away for later.))
Kol laughed, the kind of laugh that goes on for quite some time normally but gets cut short because of location or need for breath. "Don't tempt me to throw the match, babe," he called out, voice rising in the air as a teasing lilt.
He mentally took stock of the situtation. Kol wasn't an athletic fox, but he was in good condition and could run for a long time depending on the speed he put out. Bursts of speed serious ate at his stamina, though with his longer legs and possibly stronger body he might be able to close the distance quickly if he put the peddle to the meddle.
If Reisa's speed bursts were quicker than his though, it would just mean he tired himself out a whole lot quicker and would more than likely lose her.

The vixen giggled in response, deciding if he did indeed throw the match she would tease him forever about being beat by a girl and trying to make excuses, although she was pretty sure in a flat race Kol could beat her.
Reisa wasn't the best of runners, she had great bursts of speed, coming from stealing from venders and poofing before they could catch her, though her stamina for long distances was pretty low. That was one of the main reason's Reis would slip into allies and lose humans that way, because it was quicker and sure to end the chase sooner. Well, that, and she was really good at hiding and quite agile in ally ways with boxes and things to navigate around.
So. In order to win this, she had to get to the buildings, quick.

)) Kol had to hand it to Reisa, that girl could run! Now most males would start getting into manly pride issues and stuff like that, but Kol felt no shame in the ladies being more physically capable than he was; it just made the game that much more fun.
It was with this in mind that he continued pelting after Reisa, dodging around the thin layers of trees that passed for a forest at the edge of the human jungle and hoping he cut some of that distance down. He was more than willing to bet Reisa could beat him on agility too, meaning he had to take advantage of the speed part of the run while it was still available to him.
