Carissa Lalian

Carissa scaled the earthy tree up to her home. She hadn't dropped in for a while now, and her mother must be worried. She could be dead, and her mother could wait a year wondering if she was still alive. The longest she had left her mother was a year. And when she came back Rina almost killed her daughter herself. That was the first time she went off on her own, and she learned from it. So she usually left for a couple of months, then wandered back. Her fellow elven city mates didn't mind her wandering in and out of their city. She ended up having bad luck, so they thought it was better to have her wandering around. And they did like how she brought back news of how things where going. And the little kids loved her stories, but she left out the bigger scary parts.
Carissa let herself in to see her brother hunched over skinning a rabbit over a fire. He glanced up and he grinned.
"Didn't think I would be seeing you Rissa." He said using her old nick name. She smiled and walked over to him, giving him a hug.
" Of course I'll come back for my little brother. And my mother." She said to her mother who walked in. Her face lighting up.
