Brief History/How he Came: Living in Heaven with the thousands of thousands of other angels, Terence served quite happily as an angel of healing; his very presence would reverse illnesses and stimulate the body to heal in a matter of minutes. He loved his work and also his brother Jareth, who on the opposite end of the scale, served as an angel of death, escorting the separated to the Underworld. In spite of the two vast differences in jobs, Terence remained very close to his brother, and Jareth to him.
So much that one day, Jareth came to Terence with a terrible secret. His dear brother had fallen in love with a mortal woman, and had broken the order of balance by refusing to take her soul when the woman had come to an early demise. He vowed to his brother that his secret would be safe with him, but all too soon as the woman continued to live unnaturally, she was put out of her existence a second time and the angel who came to take her made the discovery of her postponed death. The two brothers were brought before all in Heaven and made to bear the full brunt of shame before they were cast out entirely from Heaven.
As they floated between Heaven and Earth, contemplating how they would possibly be able to reenter Heaven, they sought retribution by engaging in a battle with a storm demon. After a battle so epic and energy-charged that half of the mortal world experienced some of the worst storms seen in a century, all three beings plummeted to Earth in their exhaustion, each angelic brother having lost a wing in the brutal battle. They all crashed through the roof of the Asylum, and they are there still; the fallen brothers lost and bewildered in a dark, new world, and a demon who still hunts for the two who dragged him down with them.
