What brand of computer control pad do anyone suggest I should use? (if it's even possible to use a control pad for it) I always been using the keyboard directional buttons and Z and X buttons.

I play Touhou games with a wired XBOX 360 controller. While it is true that you need to use the analog stick to move, I got used to it quickly and now I can't really play without a controller XD (That and my computer doesn't react when I hit Z shift and the arrow keys confused )

some large percentage of Japanese players use the Sega Saturn controller. so if you're able to get one of those, try it out.

I use a wired 360 controller, also. For me, it's easiest to have Focus on the LB, and the Shot and Bomb buttons on the A and B buttons, respectively.

I ended up getting a $10 PS2-like gamepad to play Touhou on my netbook because one of my arrows is broken. Playing with a controller takes some time to get used to, but it's a whole new way to play the game ^^

I only use a keyboard... I'd like to try a controler of some kind though. I'm just to lazy and cheap to buy one. I'd like one for the fighters... that would be cool. Then playing them on my Tv with my friends would probably beat out Brawl > smile
Otherwise i'm fine with my laptop keyboard XD

Though maybe that's more because most of the time I've played with the keyboard ^^

I've heard that the most optimal controller is the HRAP EX-SE due to a complete lack of input delay. And since in Touhou that is important, then yeah.

I actually never tried to play any touhou games on my Wii. Maybe I should try it. Is there anything you need to do to help get started?
