- Boxing - Alex picked up boxing when she was ten. With her father often away due to military duties as a way of expressing her anger and giving her something that she could "share" with her father. Boxing is a daily routine for her and it gives her the ability to protect those that can't protect themselves. Something she was taught by her father and something she fiercely believes in.
Swimming - Being in water and swimming is like second nature for the young woman. It is like a second home for her and she's been swimming since before she could remember. It is the one thing that relaxes her and it is a stress-reliever for her like boxing is her anger management. She used to swim competitively but quit because of disagreements with her coaches, since then she only swims when she's stressed or because it reminds her of her father who is still overseas with the Marines.
History - Having come from a militaristic background Alex has a soft spot for history. She spent many days during her childhood with her nose in various history books, taking a particular interest in books centering around World War I and World War II. She likes to spend her time researching famous historical battles to learn what mistakes were made and what could have been done differently. Much like swimming and boxing she feels as though it's a way to reach out to her father because history and the knowledge of battles are one of the few things they can share.
Virtues:
- Strong Sense of Justice - Alex is a strong believer of "protect those who cannot protect themselves". She will not stand by as something she deems "unjust" goes on. She cannot stop herself from intervening in situations like, someone is being robbed. She immediately has to step in and go to the aid of the person being robbed. If she feels like something shady is taking place then she will do her best to bring it to light so it may face judgment.
No Nonsense - She doesn't put up with what she would define as "bullshit". She's the type of person who doesn't accept excuses of any kind, if you say you're going to get something done then you better get it done. Often it leaves her taking matters into her own hands because she knows that how to make sure things get done. The benefit to her no nonsense attitude is that she doesn't mess around. If she is given a task, if something is expected of her then it will get done.
Determined - Alex is very head strong and has difficulty backing down from a challenge. Once this girl gets her mind set on something, it is nearly impossible to stop her. She will charge forward, regardless of risks, and get the job done. Need help with something that needs to get done? She's the girl to make sure it gets done and done right.
Strategic - Her love, and study, of history has proven useful when it comes to planning out a victory. When a difficult situation presents itself to her she doesn't hesitate to start drawing out possible plans of action along with the possible consequences or outcomes that may result. She has no problem spending hours drafting up a plan that with result in a victory as she sees it and spends hours writing notes and drafts in a journal she always keeps on her.
Flaws:
- Grudge-holder - Alex is one of those people that knows how to hold a grudge. If you cross her or do something to upset her then she will hold it against you forever. You went after the guy she liked? Then you are cut out of her life with no second chances. You get one chance with her and if you mess that up, there is no going back.
Hypercritical - Alex is her own worst critic, she's constantly over analyzing things and will pick at things she doesn't view as perfect. Things have to be done a certain way and it has to be done correctly or it has to be done all over again. She has a difficult time allowing people to help her with any project, she's a firm believer that if you want something done right you must do it yourself. It often will leave her carrying more than she can truly handle but she will never admit to it and instead will take on more simply because she believes that she is the only one that can do it right.
Abrasive - Alex is hard to get along with, she comes off as gruff, rude and aggressive. She puts off a cold exterior that's hard to get past in order to protect herself. She's quick to judge and often appears to dislike you when you first meet her, and it's probably true. She never seems to like anyone and some find it hard to be in her company for too long.
Judgmental - Alex has always been one of those people who is quick to judge. She'll often judge someone solely upon the first impression and her initial impression is one that isn't likely to change. She's one of those people that will often stereotype others based on gender and race though she hates it when others do the same to her. It is a flaw that goes hand and hand with her ability to hold grudges, it is hard to get her to change her opinion of a person because she believes that the first impression is the only impression there is.
