Personality: Pure and simple, Nahm is a troublemaker. While he can keep his head down and fly under the radar when absolutely necessary, he'd much rather be entertaining himself by causing problems for someone. He doesn't care much for most people, though he'll maintain amiable relationships with people he thinks are interesting or amusing; however, nobody is immune to his pranking, even those he might call friends.
Nobody, that is, except his twin brother,
Ahm (played by Syrie). Ahm and Nahm may argue and fight from time to time, but they present a united front to the world and cooperate in most things. A friend to one is a friend to both; an enemy to one is an enemy to both. Nahm trusts his twin implicitly and will take anything Ahm says as truth, and expects the reverse to be true as well. It's relatively easy for them to be mistaken for one another, due to the fact that they must cover themselves completely to avoid the light, and they can and will take advantage of this fact.
Nahm is a slacker in most areas, and will do the minimum it takes to get by and not fail. He's not stupid, but work? Just too much work. On the other hand, he'll study and practice obsessively at anything he has a genuine interest in. He's carelessly ignorant of many things, but the things he knows, he really
knows.
He has a remarkable memory for trivia and minor details, though he may forget things he doesn't care about, either accidentally or purposefully. He remembers that thing you did two years ago, even if you've probably forgotten, but he really couldn't tell you how many cousins he has, just that most of them are obnoxious. He likes minipets with teeth as sharp as his, and will take good care of his own. Others' pets may be considered as snacks. They're not his, so he doesn't really care.
Why did they enroll at the academy? Nahm doesn't actually care for school, and would just as soon not be here. However, his family has enrolled him in an effort to get the twins away from that bunch of hoodlums they run around with; the gang's troublemaking has recently escalated towards actual crime, and the deVarr clan voted to send the twins elsewhere, in hopes that they might pick up some kind of useful education while being separated from their troublemaking friends. Ahm and Nahm have cooperated with the enrollment under threat of separation - a fate worse than school.
Fear: Anonymity: When his Fear is active, Nahm is just plain hard to remember. The moment you take your eyes off him, he just slips out of recollection. His target may have a nagging feeling that they've forgotten something, but they can't quite pin down what. This talent is useful for stealthy attacks and for escapes. After the effect wears off, the target will remember that there was someone there, but may or may not recall who it was. This ability requires active concentration, and will end early if Nahm's concentration is disrupted.
Year 1: Anonymity lasts for ten to thirty seconds at a time, and can be used three times a day.
As Nahm's Fear grows in strength, he will be able to maintain it for longer periods of time and use it more frequently.
Natural abilities: - Kachomp: Grues can eat anything. No, really. Anything. They can unhinge their jaws to eat any object (or creature) the size of their heads or smaller. Fully grown adult grues are said to be able to stretch their mouths wider to consume things half their own size, though this feat requires full darkness to perform, as it necessitates removal of the protective hood and scarves.
- Racial disadvantage: Grues are extremely light-sensitive. Their skin burns and blisters within a few minutes of direct exposure to any kind of light. To go out of the lightless caverns and basements in which they live, grues must cover themselves at all times in hooded robes to minimize exposure to light. Their eyes are also vulnerable; bursts of bright light can easily blind them for up to ten minutes.
Physical Description: Nahm is tall and skinny, nearly skeletal. He tends to slump, but when he stands up straight, he is slightly over six feet. He is not physically strong - the classic beanpole physique.

Skin Colour: Dark grey with black mottling on back, shoulders, and thighs
Clothing Style/Colours: Layers and layers of ragged, patchy clothes. Nahm wears normal, if ragged, clothes, then covers up further with heavy boots, gloves, and hooded robes.
Extra: Nahm's features are covered by his clothing, and his face is hidden in shadow by his hood. The only actual part of Nahm that others may see is the glint of reflected light from his eyes and his wide mouthful of needle-sharp teeth.
