This is my first long profile that I have ever done. Please be critical with it as I would like to correct and problems I probably have in it.

Name: Loki 'Angel' Nerose
Age: 23
Occupation: Priest
Weapon: Pole
Current Location: Tenshi Island
Loki is slightly tanned with a short brown hair that cuts off at his ear and is slightly ruffled. He wears light brown pants that are folded up to his knees, a black short sleeved shirt with a folded collar, and light brown sandals. He has green eyes, is about 5'11, and weighs about 190 pounds.
Fighting Style: Kugatachi
Power:
Quick Switch: He is able to change how he uses his weapon in an instant..
Reflexes: He has increased reflexes that allow him to keep track of multiple enemies attack at once.
Numbers: The training with his parents have given him a higher learning that means he can compute more advanced numbers than most people.
Bio:Loki grew up into a family of priests and was expected to grow up worshipping his family’s holy gods and all that he created. But, as you probably already guessed, he did, technically. From the time he was able to talk he spent every waking moment in the church, he learned everything that would be needed into a proper priest, a true example of his families unwavering spirit. He lived up to his parents ideas for 16 years until he experienced something that would forever change his life, his own death. It was late at night and he was walking to the store for a shopping run when, suddenly, a man popped out of, seemingly, nowhere with a knife and demanded his money. Loki, ever true to his religion, merely smiled at the man and said. "Sir I know you are having troubled times, but I must beg you to come with me to the temple where I may help you repent and," He reached forward with his hands to lower the mans knife. He unfortunately didn't expect the man to be so crazed and when he reached out the man stabbed him in the stomach. Loki cut off his sentence and reached down in disbelief at the wound in his stomach. "Am I finally going to the promised land? But why now? Why, when I can help so much more on this earth?" Loki merely glanced at the thief, now running away, and thought to himself. "Why?"

Loki lost consciousness and woke up 2 days later in some foreign shack; a smiling old man greeted him from across the bed. Loki tried to sit up and was quickly stopped by the old man. He realized then how much pain his was still in and barely managed too croak out. "What happened?" "Some thief stabbed you and left you to rot. I somehow got you to my house and performed emergency surgery on you, to tell you the truth, I'm surprised you lived, most men would have died on the way to my house but for you to make it through it all, is nothing short of a miracle. I haven’t seen somebody with as strong of a will as you in quite some time." He grinned and grabbed 2 pills, on a bench beside the bed. "Where are my..." Loki started to say, but was quickly shut up as the medicine was forced down his throat. "You need to stay quiet, the people in the village have already issued you dead and your funeral has already passed. I have decided to teach you how to avoid ending up back here, or worse." Loki gave him a questioning look, not wanting to have more medicine shoved down his throat. "I have decided to take you as my disciple and teach you the ways of the staff. He tried to voice his objections but lost his train of thought as the medicine finally did its work.

Loki woke up and didn't see the old man anywhere around room. "I feel bad about this, but I have to get back to the temple." He sat up and was surprised to feel only a ache in his stomach and a small amount of clean bandages covering his wound. He walked toward the door and opened it cautiously. He was met with a quick blow to the forehead. He fell backwards, surprised and looked at the person who had stuck him. The old man grinned at him before giving him a quickly slap to both of his knee's with his 'pole'. Loki's legs gave out and he fell to the ground. The old man stamped his sandaled foot onto his head. "And this is what we are going to work on." "I refuse to be your pupil." Loki groaned through the dirt. "Then, when you are confronted by this world’s evil again what are you going to do." Came the angry voice of the old man. "I will trust my gods to give me the strength to conquer all challenges, and if I die then I die in their name." "YOU FOOL!" The old man yelled with increased rage, kicking the man’s side before returning his foot to the man's head. "You shouldn't take your own life so lightly!" The man's voice can out much softer as he finally said. "I understand the need to protect others. But if you die, how are you going to protect them?" The old man lifted his foot from Loki's head and stepped back a few feet, holding his weapon in a menacing fashion. "You will stay here until you can fight the evils of this world." Loki struggled to his feet and stood there, looking at him, before saying. "How will I know when I'm ready?" The old man familiar grin returned. "You will know, because when you are, you'll be able to get past me."

After a few months of training Loki was finally entrusted a weapon. "A pole." He said with a touch of annoyance in his voice when his 'weapon' was placed ontop of his extended palms. He decided that is was time to ask 'the old man' a question that had been bugging him for a while. "Why do you use a pole? It doesn't seem very dangerous of a weapon. Why not a sword or even a spear?" The old man, who he was later told to call sensei, just smiled his usual grin and replied. "I use all of those things, and more, with just this pole." Loki strained to understand his logic. Sensei stood up and walked toward a thick tree Loki had been using as a training dummy for that last couple of months. "When I hold it, it is a sword." He held the pole as he would a sword and slashed at the dummy with enough force to make it crack. "When I sweep it, it is a naginata" He swept the pole and broke through the through the tree. "And when I thrust, it becomes a spear." He said bringing the pole forward stabbing right through one of the falling limbs. He pulled it back out and grinned at Loki. “I use the Kugatachi Style. With this style you can have any number of weapons with just one ordinary staff.” Loki was both impressed at the sudden display of strength and decided that he would definitely master it the way his master had. His training majorly consisted of attempting to fight past Sensei at night and medical training in the day.
This grueling training went on for 3 years before Loki finally managed to knock his master off his feet. It took him a moment to realize the implications of effectively beating his master meant. "I get to go home now don't I." Loki asked quietly. "You can go home anytime you want to now, this old man isn't blocking your path." "But I don't think I'm ready." He dropped his worn out training pole to the ground and held his head low. " No, I only got a few lucky hits in. I still have a long way to go before I am ready to leave.""No you don't Loki. I have seen this coming for a while. You have learned what you can from these tired old bones. But I do believe I can prepare you in just one more way." He turned around and walked away from the house, keeping out of sight for a few seconds, before returning with a wood staff. "I have done my best to make this darn neared as good as possible. I hope you will use it to fight the evil that exists in this world." Loki took the pole and bowed before his master. He had grown up in a family who held him by strict codes of conduct and living styles, and though he loved his family with all his heart, he couldn't have chosen a better person to be a master. He stood up straight and said. "I shall use your teachings to wisely Master." Sensei smiled and said. "I am no longer your master, my name is Jishin and may your path be bright." Loki was walked towards the door and with tears running down his face he left the man who he owed his life too.

Now that Loki was finally free of his confines he knew that returning to the temple wasn't an option. He knew that any good he could do there would be a waste of what Jishin had taught him. He finally decided to 'borrow' a boat from the nearest town he ran into. He managed to find a rather small one that would take him to the next island. He ended up in a storm and was knocked off of course to an unknown island. He was lucky to find that it was inhabited and went to the village for supplies and information as to where he was. When he approached the village he was confronted with caution and the villagers stayed within their homes. "Please I just want to some supplies and a means to cross into the next island." Loki yelled, hoping that someone would at least come out and explain why everyone was hiding. Out of nowhere a child ran out with knife in hand and attempted to stab him in the leg. Loki reacted quickly and used his pole to smack the knife out of the child’s hand. He stepped on the knife, now on the ground, and looked the terrified child in the eyes. He kneeled down and smiled at the child. "Never use a knife like that, you could kill somebody." The child, a small boy, burst into tears. The other villagers, in a frenzy, ran out of their houses with makeshift weapons and charged at him, in a obvious attempt to save the child. Loki knew that he couldn't disarm them all without hurting them. He abandoned the child and ran out of the village. Later that night he was visited by the child who had attempted to stab him. He told Loki about how their lives were completely run by the 'demons'. It turns out the pirates were able to overcome the village with technology unknown to their primitive civilization. With their cannons and large ship they managed to take over the island and even convince the villagers that they were demons sent to control them. Loki smiled at the child and said. "You tell the villagers that the demons will soon leave village." The child looked uncertain but nevertheless left.

The next day Loki walked towards the beach where the pirate ship was standing proudly. He used the pole as a walking stick and was next to the ship when he yelled. "Pirates, leave now or I shall force your departure!" The pirates were woken up and walked over toward the man who dared to wake them. "Haha, you think you can beat us. The demon crew!" The captain yelled and then grinned at Loki. "Men fire at will, I will use him as another example of our benevolence." One of the cannons was aimed at him and let loose. Loki stared at the barrel of the cannon and heard the hissing of the fuse. "So that’s your answer then." He made a quick leap forward and grabbed onto one of the cannon windows. He leaped into the ship through the window and kicked the cannon upward. There was a huge explosion and a hole was blasted in their deck. During the resulting smoke of the explosion he leapt through the hole in the deck, he looked around and spotted around 16 members in the crew, including the captain. They all carried swords and were slowly recovering from the unexpected explosion. Loki rushed forward and thought of Jishins old teachings. "With a thrust its a spear." He brought the cane forward thrusting it into 5 of the crew members stomachs with enough force for them to fall forward in pain. This gave him a opening and he ran toward a wall on the ship. With his back toward the wall he faced the rest of the crew, who were now approaching him with anger glinting in their eyes. "Now that they can't surround me I have a bigger chance at fighting them off." He thought to himself as he glanced at each of the crew members looking for any hint to what they were going to do next. They brought their swords up and slashed down at him. Loki was surprised to see how slow they were moving. "This is nothing compared to Jishin sensei. When holding a pole it is a long sword." He thought and held the end of the pole the way a man would hold a long sword. He dodged some of the sword and blocked most. "With a sweep it is a Naginata!" He thought sweeping the pole downward knocking another 5 men off their feet. He rushed past the last 5 members who were preparing for a counterattack and rushed towards the terrified captain. Loki knocked away the man’s shaking sword and grabbed him by the throat lifting him in the air. "You will leave and never come back to this island and if you do, may the gods show you no mercy on your way to hell." He said trying to sound and intimidating as possible. He punched the captain in the stomach and threw him at the now recovering crew and yelled. "That counts for the rest of you too! I want you to tell everyone that demons are no longer allowed on this island!" He roared and left the ship with a frightened crew not sure what to do next.

The child had been secretly watching the fight from atop a hill in the distance and started running back towards the village to tell how the 'Angel' had managed to defeat the 'Demons and their evil weapon'. The pirate crew did end up leaving the island, with Loki defeating them, they knew that they would at least have a much weaker hold on the, soon to be, rebellious islanders. So Loki had been staying on the island from then on and defending them from any other pirates that rarely came by the island. Loki had been working on creating a chronicle of his adventures and the journal had been coming along pretty nicely. He was attempting to form a village task force that would be able to fight against a pirate attack themselves. Once he did that he would probably leave the island himself. The pirate ships that had been forced away had eventually formed the rumor, from both the islander’s thoughts and his strength, of a angel guarding the island. They took this so far as to call the island Tenshi Island

Nah, this is the right subforum. The Test subforum is locked anyhow. It's just that usually we try to keep profiles to the Character Creation and Review topic below.
