((tldr, feel free to start at paragraph 5 XD)) -To say she'd been a little... laxed.. with her senshi responsibilities would be generous. Living with a foster family made it hard to escape into the night, especially considering the eye they'd began to keep on her after her little foray into the 'world of wrestling'. Volleyball practice was time consuming, school work and hours time crippling.
The number of time she'd suited up honestly wasn't even in the double digits. She seemed to have a knack for choosing events and meetings that snowballed into giant battles of doom. And she'd gone out a time or three with the entire quartet while they were still looking for their princess. But since she'd been found...
It was a mixture of boredom and pondering over her failures towards Chibimoon that roused Aitana from her chair that night. Perhaps the whole senshi thing was like sports. Something that required practice and skill honing. It made sense really. Real fighters all practiced for hours at a time, day after week after month. She had been slacking, and now that her wounds had healed for the most part it was time she remedy that.
The Amazonian senshi of the canopy had never gone out alone.. never even tried. And it probably would have been apparent to anyone watching as she fumbled her way lazily through it. She wasn't seeking sounds, hunting down dark alleys, checking her cellphone, she was simply trudging down the middle of the road, bouncing a volleyball boredly up and down from ivory covered wrists.- "Noventa e sete.... noventa e oito..."
-Luckily for Juno, beginners luck was on her side. The unsettling clatter and ringing of trash cans mingling with screams echo'd through the empty streets as a woman stumbled onto the street. She lost her balance, spilling forward along with the contents of her purse as something dark slipped from out of the alleyway behind her. It didn't really look like anything from as far away as she was, more like the shadows of the alleyway had simply forgotten to stop at the edge of the streetlights. But one didn't question a damsel in distress, her highpitched tones tearing at Juno's ears. It was enough to stop her stream of bounces, catching the white ball between her hands before she bolted forward.-
"Ei!! Pick on someone who can fight back monster!" -She called out, the words sounding almost as foreign as her Portuguese had been thanks to the thick accent it was wrapped in. She did not wait for a response, popping the ball up above her head before she drove it back down with a fierce slap, releasing a whoop of success as it hit it's target, the beast turning to her with an angry yelp and snarl.
It lunged, her sandal covered foot lifted in defense and offense, deflecting the attack with enough force that it took the monster a moment to collect itself before it stood again.
The woman had scrambled away unnoticed by the senshi, not even bothering to try and retrieve the purse. Her focus was on the youma, grinning as she shifted her weight between her feet pulling out one of the wrestling moves she'd come up with months before. Ahhh nostalgia.- "Hypersonic Handspring!!" -Her hands propelled her from the ground and into the air, her heels digging into the writhing and screaming youma as she landed right on top of it's back, arms lifted in what could only be called the 'universal' pose of TADA! It seemed her beginners luck had graced her with a fairly low level youma too. But hell if it didn't look impressive nonetheless.
She'd have to go hunt down her ball once she'd finished off the creature. They were pretty expensive to be losing all over the place.-

Most of Birhan's nights were spent patrolling (after sneaking out of her room, of course). Her dedication to her 'job' was one of the reasons why the BMC had recruited her, for which Birhan was grateful. Though lately she was feeling a little lonely at the gatherings - everyone else seemed to be paired off into mentor and trainee, while Birhan was still a solo act. Maybe it was time to take Ares' advice and start (carefully) recruiting. Assuming she ever met anyone who fit their criteria, of course.
It was thoughts along those lines that filled Birhan's head when a scream split the air. Perking up, Birhan looked around to locate the source. Once she had a general direction, she sped off. The screams continued for a short while, before cutting off abruptly. Praying that she wasn't too late, Birhan sped up.
She arrived at the entrance to a likely alleyway. A strangely patterned ball of some kind rolled out. One white boot nudged it to the side, where it rested against the wall. Birhan went in.
She stepped past a fallen purse. Her eyes took a moment to adjust to the darkened alley. When they did, she was faced with a senshi in green posing on the back of a youma. Birhan raised her eyebrows.
"Is this purse yours?" she asked. Perhaps the youma had picked on the wrong target and the screams had been for show until the senshi had lured him somewhere out of sight. "And the ball at the end of the alley?"
Conversation might have to be short and sweet. It didn't look as though the youma was quite done for yet. Birhan raised her hands into guard positions, eyeing off the monster. "Need a hand?"
It was only polite to ask.

"Ehhh?" -She hadn't been expecting an audience, well except maybe purse lady, so when she was addressed Juno didn't even try to hide the suprise.-
"Psshh.. I do not have purses. Ball is mine though, you find it?" -Her arms were stretched out, helping keep balance like an acrobat on a tightrope as the youma recovered from the surprise of her attack, trying to push itself up and her off. The monster recieved a firm kick to the back of the head before the green haired senshi dismounted with a hop.-
"Sure, help is good. Not that I need for this guy." -A thumb was cocked at the youma, who unlike Juno was actually paying attention and lunged fro another attack, while Juno was unceremonious sticking out of her tongue at the comment.-
"He is, what you say, wussy" -She'd heard that word before in a shouting match between her volleyball team and one of their rivals. She wasn't sure exactly what it meant, but it probably applied her.-

Birhan blinked as the girl balanced like an acrobat on top of the struggling youma. The green senshi's balance and agility were impressive, but Birhan was equally stunned by the fact that someone would want to stay standing on a youma like that. She slowly smiled. This unknown senshi had guts - Birhan liked it.
"Yes, the ball is safe," she replied as Juno hopped off the youma. As was the purse, but that was currently owner-less. Must have been a civilian around after all. Ah well, the purse could easily be dropped into a police station later (out of senshi guise).
Juno's bravado had Birhan laughing. She approved of the girl's confidence and attitude. Even though the accent and stilted English marked her as foreign, she still got the important things - like the youma being wussy.
"Yeah, that sounds about right," Birhan chuckled. "Very wussy, which makes it all the more easy for us!"
Without knowing if Juno had used her senshi attack or not, Birhan didn't bother to try her own. Waste of time if it failed, plus the embarassment of standing there with nothing happening. The youma was still struggling to its feet. Rushing in, Birhan launched a reverse roundhouse kick at its head.

"Birhan Isat," the redhead introduced herself, shaking the proferred hand. "And I gotta agree. It's nice to meet someone else who doesn't think magic is the key to everything."
Maybe it was because her attack could only copy, therefore making it useless when on her own, but Birhan couldn't understand those who wanted to stand back and rely solely on their senshi attack. They were flashy, often easy to dodge, and not even all that powerful in the beginning. Fists and feet packed way more of a punch - no pun intended.
"Hey, Juno," Birhan smiled, ready to give the recruitment spiel. "I don't know if you'd have heard of us, but I'm part of a team that agrees with us on taking a really tough stance. I know my boss would love to meet you - you've got some seriously awesome skills there."
Birhan didn't give Juno much of a chance to respond yet, trying to get everything out at once. Best to hit all the BMC's best points before anyone could say no, right?
"It's seriously awesome to fight with others who are like us. And we get valued on our strength - better than following some wimpy brat just because she was born a princess, right?" Birhan joked, fully expected Juno to agree.
... She really should have asked just who Juno was, first.

-Birhan Isat.. She seared the name in her memory, trying to lock it in a place that it wouldn't be forgotten. It rolled off the tongue easy enough, but Juno wasn't much of an astrologer.
Until now the other girl hadn't said a whole lot, nothing compared to the long winded conversations she'd seen other senshi have with each other or with their enemies, so when she did begin to speak, Juno watched her curiously.
She'd only vaguely heard of the Black Moon Court. And her dubious past life connections, or would that be slavery, to the Princess Nehelenia and her court was foggy to say the least. So she actually seemed interest for a long moment. Her head bobbed in approval at the premisses, tough fighters. A boss that would love to meet her for her skills. Tough partners, praise, and strength.
It all sounded great really. Amazing even. For a moment her final words didn't even register to the senshi of the canopy. But even the dense Juno finally caught on as the words pieced themselves together in her head. Wimpy.. that was one she'd heard called about in the volleyball games.. it wasn't a good word.
Wimpy brat ... born a princess Chibimoon...? Her Small Lady? That was who she was talking about wasn't it?- "What is the name of this group?"
-The 360 that occurred was damn near bipolar. The grin on her face warped from a grimace to a near growl. Her loose and playful posture firmed up, hands balling into tight fists.- "Do you all go around the streets talking bad about the future princess?"
-It was sad really.. She'd wanted so much to belong.. she'd bitten and tasted on something that had seemed quite wonderful. But in the end there was one thing that was stronger. A solemn promise and a grand destiny.
The late queen of the moon had saved her soul once, and for it she'd promised to protect the young princess when the time came. It was a bond that had brought her across all the way from Brazil. A bond she would keep even if one day the princess asked her to sever it. It didn't matter what she wanted. She would be alone if it was what was best for her princess.
The fact that she'd held herself back from immediately throttling the other girl was due only to the sliver of respect she held for the redhead senshi. The tiny and silent wish that the two could have been partners and friends. But it wasn't to be...- "I am Sailor Juno, senshi of the canopy. Member of the Amazon Quartet, guardians and court of the Princess Chibimoon."
-She didn't want to fight her... but then.. Birhan Isat didn't seem the type to take intimidation.- "Speak bad of the princess again and I will show you what I am capable of. You and all of your group"

"Oh, s**t," Birhan swore softly as Juno revealed her relation to the small princess. Her hands flew up in front of her, promising no violence and asking for the same in return. "Sorry, no offense meant."
There really wasn't. Chibimoon might have been a very nice person, for all Birhan knew. But she was a fighter and she wasn't going to wait for some foreign kid to grow into her powers and hopefully be a decent leader.
"Sorry, didn't mean to insult you. Or her, really." Birhan scratched at her head. "It's just that some senshi aren't up for following her, they want a stronger offensive now. But if you are following her, that's cool. To each their own, and all that."
Which meant that Juno and Birhan probably wouldn't be working together again. A damn shame, Birhan thought. More people needed to follow the BMC's example and wear their faction's symbol, so people knew who they were dealing with.
"Truce?" Birhan offered, backing up a little. It wasn't like she had any problems with other factions, even if Ares was at odds with Chibimoon over past-life Nehelenia stuff (that Birhan didn't quite understand).

-She backed down, and for that Juno was grateful, stepping no further once those hands lifted a little in defense. Others, like Ares perhaps, might have dug in with verbal onslaught, but Birhan backed down. Compromised even.
Maybe there were those in her group who were like her, strong, honorable, brave. But there was an offense too grand to let her accept the faction pleasantly or even neutrally. But Birhan...-
"Truce" -She finally relented, her eyes leaving the other girl in search of her ball. It was a truce towards her only, not her faction. And if they should ever meet again in a situation that resulted in another insult against the princess it would be quickly retracted. But Juno's desire to fight had died for the night.-
"I hope for many victories for you and for the moon kingdom" -It was a strange farewell, as she turned and made her way towards the alley to hunt down the ball she'd lost.-
((If you'd rather have a fight just pm me and I'll edit. ;D I'm rather indifferent as to whether or not she'd relent in this situation))
