Adelle had tried to dress down for this date. 'Leave something to the imagination,' as her casual lover had advised. It wasn't something that she was good at, but it made sense with the fact that she was going to a music festival. Somewhere back in time, she could remember that she would go to a place that would play music and they would dance all night long. So, in that spirit, she'd gone out and bought a short-yet-fluffy swing skirt that was white with a red waistband, poofy sleeves, and was covered in big red polka-dots.

As for the blind date that she was going to be meeting, that's how she'd told him to find her. That she would be in a fluffy white dress with big red spots - one big target in the middle of the music festival. Of course, just because she was looking for someone didn't mean that she couldn't have fun. The stick figure was dancing smoothly through the crowd, being tossed around between dance partners to the bouncing music.

Kaleb wasn't exactly comfortable doing this. He had recently grown--and despite the even more recent discovery that girls were beauitiful creatures--he would have preferred knowing he was going with. What if the girl he'd been set up with was ugly? Oh, what if she was absolutely hideous? She was supposed to be wearing a white, red polka dotted dress.

How was he supposed to find anyone, even someone with such bright clothing in a place like this? And what if she really was hideous? The lust spawn thought that he would have to be polite and dance with her at least once--and then he saw her. His golden eyes widened in surprise. She was...

Beyond words. She was...beautiful. Stunning. Amazing. And... She was dancing with other people! That was his date! He went over to Adelle and tapped her shoulder. "Adelle, right? I'm Kaleb; your, um, date for today."

Adelle finished the circle that she was turning in when she was spoken to, hair bouncing to a stop. It had been curled just to the occasion, mo-hawk dyed black to blend in with the rest of her hair so that she didn't look like as much of a weird-o as she did most of the time. That's what Emilian told her, after all; that it made her stick out terribly, that shock of randomly coloured hair. After that, she'd agreed that she would try to grow it out instead of cutting it back; it was driving her crazy thus far.

"Kaleb? Hi!" she said happily, giggling a bit and taking his hand, tugging him out of the crowd of dancing bodies so the two of them would actually be able to hear each other talk. One of her stubby tentacles stretched out toward him curiously, but she ignored it, just as she ignored Sutry latching onto her left arm tightly and not letting go. She giggled, letting herself give the boy a once-over and smiling happily.

"Wow, you look... good!" she said with a bit of a laugh, though it was more surprised than mocking. "Not to be mean, but the whole blind-date thing... I mean, I was expecting them to send someone who could never get a date who actually knew what he looked like, y'know? But no, you're definitely not that guy!! So... I mean, I'm not really sure how these things go. How are you?"

"Hi..." Kaleb allowed himself to be pulled out of the crowd. He studied her and beamed. She was even more beautiful up close; a bit too thin, but still beauitiful. He watched the crowd of dancing people before his attention fell back onto Adelle. She was like a picture that made him want to look away--only he couldn't.

"I thought the same thing about you," he confessed. "That you were--well...not you." He was having trouble forming words now, something unusual for the liberality spawn. "D'you want to dance?" he asked. "Oh, I'm good. I've never been on one of these either..." He wasn't about to admit that this was his first date entirely, though.

Unless he counted the time he'd been study-buddying with that pretty girl with pigtails...

Adelle chuckled happily at the fact that the boy thought the same thing would happen when he showed up. The dance offer made the edges of her lips pull up a bit more, wings fluttering softly as she nodded a couple times. "I would love to~" she said happily, stepping closer to him and putting one hand on his shoulder, one hand in one of his hands. "Do you know how to dance, or should I lead? Though, I suppose that I don't really know how to dance to this kind of music... though, some experience is better than none, so I should at least be able to kind of get through it. At least guess and experiment and stuff, right?

"Well, good that I'm not alone as far as being a newbie on the blind dating scene. Though I'm glad that none of the people who have been doing this for years snagged you up. Geez, that could be weird, especially if they were all old and gross and-- y'know what? I should probably stop talking, huh?"
Adelle ranted before cutting herself off when she realized that a good portion of the people around the two of them could fit the description that she'd already given and probably what was going to follow it.

"To be completely honest, I'm already seeing someone, but it's only a casual thing. Y'know, friends with benefits and the like. Seriously casual, though. He's nice and everything, but he can be a bit of a jerk, and," she lowered her voice to a whisper as she started tugging the other out onto the dance floor. "Just between two lust kids -you're lust, right? Purplish skin and all that's what gave it away-, he's not too great in the bedroom, either."

"I'm used to...formal dancing," Kaleb had to admit. "You know, waltzes and stuff. I've never seen..." he looked to the crowd of dancing people. "Anyone dance like that before." Though he wasn't quite willing to allow Adelle to lead; that would be embrassing, letting the girl lead! "We can wing it," he decided.

He gave a shudder. "I'm glad, too." Ew, dancing with old people? He'd learned to dance with his mother's help, but she didn't exactly qualify as old. She looked about the same age he was. "And yeah," he said, looking around. Most of the people around them could have fit Adelle's description, and he was sure they wouldn't have liked hearing it.

"I've never dated anyone," Kaleb admitted with a shrug. "Or had any friends with benefits, so I don't know if I'm... good in any sort of bedroom, you know?" He grinned. "Yeah, I'm lust. I thought you were, too. That's cool. We're like...siblings."
PostPosted: Wed Feb 16, 2011 4:32 pm

"Oh really? That's so cool! I've never really gone formal dancing. One of my old friends and I used to go to a little swing club a few blocks from his dad's pizza place, so my main kind of dancing... well, it's like this sort of stuff, really, but it's to music with big brass instruments and stuff - swing music, y'know? Like, from the fourties," Adelle explained happily, letting Kaleb lead while adding a few of her own moves to the movements. He was actually pretty good at improvising, which was pretty cool, and the fact that he knew how to dance made it even easier for her to nudge the other into the more bouncy dance moves.

When the boy admitted that he'd never dated anyone before, Adelle looked first surprised, and then excited. She squealed happily, spinning out and then spinning back in so her back was pressed against Kaleb's chest, both his and her arms wrapped around her torso.

"You're a virgin!?" she stage-whispered, just loud enough for him to hear without giving away their conversation to everyone else, continuing on with their dance. "Oh, that's so cute!! I'm lust, too, yeah. Lust, liberality, and diligence. And, well, I guess you can think of it like that; it's always seemed a little weird to me. That would mean that my parents were siblings, too, and then had a kid, and... that's just kinda weird, ya'know? But yeah, we're kinda like siblings, huh? What's your virtue? Is it liberality, too? I only ask 'cause'a the metal wings and stuff."

"My mom's really big on formal dancing," Kaleb said. "I think she's some kind of rich person, I dunno." He'd never really bothered to ask. "Swing music?" he repeated, looking interested. "That sounds cool. I've never done it." The moves were easy to fall into, to his surprise.

"Yeah..." He was more surprised at the girl's apparent excitement. "Cute?" he asked, blinking. "Why?" He paused and nodded in understanding. "Yeah, that does make it sound a little creepy... I don't like thinking of it that way." And Adelle was pretty... very pretty. Pretty enough to do--well, he didn't know, really. Something.

"Yeah, liberality's my virtue," the liberality spawn said with a smile, pleased his date had been able to guess. "You look like liberality, too..." He hesitated. There seemed to be something more to Adelle, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.

"Oh, yeah! It's soo much fun, all bouncy and swishy and, well, swingy! It's a pity that I stopped going to that club, and I miss going there, but my modeling contract doesn't leave a lot of extra time for dancing and stuff like that. I'm just lucky to get a night off like this, really~" Adelle said happily. The strange music -bluegrass? square-dance? ...polka?- wasn't really her usual preference, but the date himself definitely was. He was attractive, charming, with a touch of innocence that her inner lusty nature craved to taint. Her wings twitched slightly and she giggles a bit. Oh, this would be a lot of fun!

"Yeah, it's totally cute!!" Adelle replied excitedly, having to focus to keep her forehead slits from opening, as they were trying hard to do so, very tempted by this purple-tinted boy. "It just... it adds this sweet little pinch of innocence, especially compared to the usual lust kids, who have tapped everything with a pulse and then some! I mean, it's fun for a while, but it gets boring to meet kids who have done everything to everyone! Though, to be forward, you might not go home a virgin at the end of the night~

"I know, right? It's weird. I like thinking about it, like... we're not related, we're just like two people who both have black hair and brown eyes. We just look the same, it doesn't mean that we have to be siblings or nothin', know what I mean?"
Adelle offered as an explanation, managing to keep talking a mile a minute despite the dance moves getting more complicated as she moved, starting to turn a few heads in the direction of the two of them.

"Yay, I was right! And, yeah, I'm liberality, too. My dad -like, the one who is actually related to me- is lust and liberality. But I have diligence, too, so I've got two angelic parts and one demon part, because both of my parents were lust," she explained idly, giggling happily as she helped Kaleb through some of the moves that involved quite a bit of tossing and spinning, a small circle starting to form around the two dancers.

"You model?" Kaleb asked, clearly curious. "My brother, Vincent's girlfriend, she models too. I think she's lust, too." Maybe all lust girls were good at modeling? He didn't know. "Do they keep you really busy? I haven't gotten a job yet." He wasn't used to the music, even though he was improvising quite well.

The lust spawn blinked. "Innocence?" he asked. It was clear that he had never met another lust spawn his age before. "Really?" He asked with no small amount of eagerness. He glanced around, looking for a place they could possibly--do it in. "Why not?" he asked. "I mean, I wouldn't mind going home as a non-virgin... Wow." He scratched at his forehead, frusterated at the itch his slits were causing.

He knew they'd be opening soon. They always did this when he met up with a pretty girl. "Cool," he said, beaming. "So you're mostly angel. You look it."

"Yep, I have been for a few months. The agency loves my 'exotic' look and all of that. They like my wings, too, a lot. Does she? Huh... I wonder if I know her," Adelle replied, surprisingly simply compared to how much she'd been speaking recently. "Yeah, they keep me really busy. I have jobs almost every day or a bunch of times in one day. When I'm not working, I have to go to parties and back-stage things and shmooze with people who are higher up in the business - try to get better jobs and stuff, y'know?"

She giggled at the excitement that the other seemed to have, trying to lessen the complicated moves that they were doing, get attention off the two of them so slipping away wouldn't be met with the concerned jeers of old people. "Innocence, yes. And if you really want to, I'm sure that we could find somewhere around here that's private enough... well, unless you're really lucky and live by yourself already, but I wasn't gon'na bet on that. Even I still live with Emilian, and I don't think that you want to do that stuff with him around, huh?" Adelle said, giggling a bit as the music slowed to, settling to more of a slow-dance kind of tune.

"Aww, do you really think I look like an angel?" Adelle asked with a soft giggle, letting her forehead rest against the others as they slowly waltzed across the grass. She pouted softly at the way he'd been scratching. "Forehead slits bothering you, hun?"

"Her name's Lissy," Kaleb provided helpfully. "Elisabetta, you know. She's cool. Only met her once." He hadn't really been that interested in Lissy--okay, that was a lie. She'd been one of the first people to really catch the lust spawns attention. Adelle was the second; and definitely the more...eye catching.

"Okay," Kaleb said. "I live with my parents," he confessed. "I bet there's somewhere around here...I drove so, we could like...do it in the car? Er no... Vincent might get angry, but..." he gave an awkward smile. "It might be worth it, you know?"

His purple tinted cheeks darkened ever so slightly. "Yeah," he said. "I really think you do." He gave a vague nod to her next question. Yes, they were bothering him. "They always do this right before... You know."
PostPosted: Wed Feb 16, 2011 10:48 pm

"Lissy?! OhmyGod, she's one of my bestest friends!! Well, she was one of my bestest friends, at least before I left home... I haven't talked to her since then, but we're probably still good friends, I'll bet," Adelle noted, giving a firm nod of her head despite the temporary skepticism. She remembered Lissy well, and missed the girl quite a bit. The young woman hadn't known that she was seeing Vincent -at least, she didn't recall hearing that- and the last time she had seen the girl, they were both preteen and she had... well, she'd learned a lot that day, to say the very least.

"That's fine," she replied, a smile spreading across her face at the suggestion of the car. The suggestion that Vincent might get angry honestly didn't phase her in the least; people got angry all the time, and if that was the cost of them having fun, then so be it. "That would be perfect!! It will definitely be worth it - I can promise you that, pretty boy~"

The suggestion that Kaleb was going to start oozing pheromones was only another reason that the teenager decided that it would be a good idea for the two of them to hit the road soon. Slipping her five-fingered hand into his, she slipped the two of them out of the group of dancing adults, brown eyes flicking about the park in the hopes of finding the place that she came in or... well, any exit at all. "Do... do you know the way out by any chance, Kaleb?"

"Maybe she'll invite you to the wedding, then," Kaleb said cheerfully. "I heard it's supposed to be sometime in the spring, so it'll be soon." The lust spawn beamed at the thought of Adelle in a dress. "You could go as my date to the wedding, if you'd like..."

"Really?" Kaleb was rather surprised that she had liked his suggestion. He'd seen it on television a few times, where people just--did it in the car. "I hope so," he said. He could see what Adelle had meant about innocence--not being cute, but that he had it. It was getting in his way.

"I think I came in that way," he pointed to the left enterance. "But I'm not sure, really..." He looked down at their hands before leading her towards the exit. "My car's in the second row. It won't be hard to find."
