User ImagePeri hummed cheerfully to herself. Being alone never seemed to bother the good-natured vixen, and she was used to traveling since both of her parents were in Gypsy. She'd wandered off when she got big enough, mostly because she wasn't sure she was ready to "commit" to a tribe yet. The wandering every which way stayed was something she was used to, a comforting familiarity.

It was new people she didn't seem to take well to. Peri was slowly overcoming that though, and blamed one of her uncles for that particular bit of childhood trauma. That and her great-something-grandpa, who always looked at her like she'd shot his puppy. Maybe it was just her family who was full of wackos, since the rare stranger she came across seemed normal enough.

In fact, Peri was making that her newest mission. She was going to find someone who was a complete stranger, preferably not blood-related (goodness knows she had tons of family she'd never met!), and test her theory. Now she just had to find a stranger. Of course one never found things when one was looking for them, so she decided to just enjoy the day and wander pointlessly. Nothing wrong with that every now and again.

Far away from Kurai, from his parents, his siblings, his half-aunt and her 'Daeva mate and their two children, Blaise walked around, happy to finally be alone. Sure, he loved his family, but everything was so hectic. Too hectic for him. Even Adonis had wandered off for a bit - he had muttered something about a vixen - and it was high time Blaise did the same. Caelan agreed easily enough, he was a grown fox, after all.

So here Blaise was, wandering around he didn't even know where. Not that it mattered to him; he didn't feel lost so he was fine. He would go wherever the wind took him and back, meeting as many foxes as possible on the way. Blaise enjoyed meeting new foxes, mostly because he liked watching their emotions in different situations. He didn't often show his own true feelings, but he had fun examing others.

Speaking of others, Blaise could see a vixen now. Interesting that she would appear just as his thoughts turned to meeting new foxes. O prophetic soul! Blaise was, for lack of better term, excited by her appearance, and wondered who she was and whether or not she would approach him.

Peri was, needless to say, surprised. There was that old expression, speak of the devil and he shall appear, but, really? The one moment so far today that she did a bit of introspection over herself, goals, and life thus far, and her wish was granted? Peri almost pouted; she'd been trying hard not to think of it so as to attract someone, and it turned out she'd been doing the wrong thing all along!

Or maybe not. Not thinking was her way of making things work, so maybe this stranger was the unknown variable. So had he been thinking of meeting new people, maybe? Well, there was one way to find out...

"Hello there," Peri called out, voice infused with warmth and cheer. Her gray-ish blue eyes sparkled with the thrill of being alive with laughter tucked into their corners. There was a trace of impishness to her smile, the kind born from uninhibited glee for no real reason other than just to be happy.

This vixen, Blaise noticed without much examination, practically radiated happiness. He couldn't show as much emotion in his entire lifetime, but that was just Blaise for you. He showed emotion, but it never consumed him entirely. He had to admit though, that this vixen's immediate good-nature placed Blaise in high spirits as well. He had no idea who she was, but he knew instinctively that she was the exact opposite of a threat to him.

Besides, he had been looking for someone, hadn't he? This vixen was perfect. A strange "someone" who was in no way hostile. "Hello," Blaise greeted her as he approached. "Did you need help with anything?" He asked this as a precaution, in case she had only called him over because she wanted something from him. Blaise couldn't exactly imagine that being the case, but what did he know about this vixen? She was a stranger, after all.

Peri took this question seriously. Just cause she hadn't known she might have needed something didn't mean she didn't need something. It sounded a lot more confusing than it was, or maybe it was just Peri's own brand of logic. It drove most of her siblings batty. But back to the matter at hand.

Since Peri was neither hungry or hurt she was pretty sure she didn't need any things from this male. There were no burdens on her soul, so any spiritual help wasn't required either; besides, that was something you generally brought to a shaman or an Elder. Peri was also quite chipper this morning and didn't feel any drab colors in her mood, so emotionally she was also fine.

Mentally, though, she was still puzzling over some stuff involving strangers and the male's sudden appearance. And it would be nice to have a conversation after traveling alone for awhile. So there were mental needs to be fixed! Peri grinned, pleased to have figured out what she needed.

"Just conversation," she said, voice quieter now that the male was closer. "I'm curious, were you thinking about wanting to meet someone too? Like just a friend to chat, or something like that." She also quivered with her curiousity; it would be excellent if she could prove her theory of the laws of attraction.

((You know what, Peri confuses me sometimes >_> ))

Conversation? An odd request. Interesting, actually. It made Blaise chuckle. "I see," he said. "In that case, I shall do my best to oblige." He bowed jokingly as he listened to her next question. "Why, how ever did you know, Miss?" Though a smile danced on his lips, Blaise was infinitely curious as to how this vixen had read his mind. Unless she had been thinking of something similar.

"To answer your question properly, yes I was," Blaise said. "And may I assume that you were thinking along similar lines?"

"Yea. But just for a moment," Peri added, looking almost guilty. "See, things usually happen when I don't think about 'em, which is why I was so surprised to see you and all." She flicked her tail as she contemplated her own information, the brilliant blue tip a bright splash of color against the duller winter tones of the forest.

The moment didn't last long though; soon Peri's gaze went back to excited and curious. "So what about you? Do you get things when you think about them, or don't?"
