Thrud had been in a very bad mood all night. Mir had calmed her down and had helped her feel a little better but every time she touched her hair she felt how short her hair was now she got pissed off again. Being with Mir wasn’t helping that, she needed to fight something. She walked over to Anbu and Yuuki’s house and knocked, hearing noises from inside that meant they needed more privacy. She waited a moment and then growled. “DAMN IT ANBU GET YOUR a** OUT HERE!” She said with a growl. She heard an answering growl and then a covered up moan as they finished what they were doing. Anbu came to the door, pants on but no shirt.

“What the ******** do-” he stopped and looked over her hair and laughed. “Oh God whos lawn mower did you loose a fight with?” he asked as he laughed. “Seriously Thrud why did you cut your hair?” He asked with a smirk as he stood there before getting punched in the face.

“You know god damn well that I’d never cut my own hair! I got in a fight and I had to cut it cause the other had my hair caught. I need someone to fight get out here and fight with me damn it!” She said as she stormed off to behind his house and started warming up.

Anbu walked into the house and smiled. “Yuuki I’m going to spar with Thrud. Shes in a bad mood cause someone made her cut her hair off.” He said bluntly as he pulled a shirt on.

Yuuki gasped as he was getting dressed. “What! Oh her pretty hair! No wonder shes so mad! I’ll make cookies.” he said as he moved to the kitchen and started making some cookies.

Anbu rolled his eyes and moved out to the back yard where Thrud was destroying stuff. He sighed as he moved over to her. Before he could speak she swung at him. He avoided this one and cart wheeled to the side, swinging a foot at her. She caught the foot in her hand and pulled him off balance and threw him in a different direction. Anbu back flipped and landed on his feet intime to see her rushing him and swinging at his face again. He caught it with his hand and returned with his own punch. She swept his fist to the side and brought her knee up to slam into his chest. He growled as they kept up the fighting.

She was so pissed today that he almost couldn’t land a single hit where as she got in several. He countered most of hers and met them with his own attacks. She got a foot to the chest at one point, he would say that the nice thing about her hair was that she couldn’t whip him in the face with it anymore. Smiling he caught another hit from her fist and stopped her. “Whats got your panties in a twist?” he said as he punched her back and watched her smirk as her lip started bleeding.

“The cat that fought me was almost better then me. I got in a few hits and some close calls with my knife but nothing even close to what I’m putting on you! That stupid…b***h was good! And I wasn’t good enough!” she said as she swung a kick at his head easily. He moved out of the way and smiled.

“Someone better then you who wasn’t me? Wow that’s amazing!” he said with a smile causing her to growl at him.

“That stupid cat did something to me…Anbu I couldn’t move. Something came off it and touched me and I was stuck. I could breathe and talk but I couldn’t move. I almost had that b*****d too but…but I couldn’t move!” She said as she turned from him and punched into a tree. It splintered a little as she growled at her now bleeding hand.

She sat down on the ground and sighed as she licked the blood off her hand. “I broke my promise Anbu. I broke it. I promised I wouldn’t cut my hair more then a small trim every few years…I broke it to my master and…” She sighed and covered her eyes against the tears. Her hand ran over her short hair and she whimpered.

Anbu watched, he didn’t do well with crying. And Thrud wasn’t ever one to cry like this. He knew about her promise. He had asked her why she kept her hair so long when they first met. He didn’t like his hair long. But she had always kept it long. Her first master and teacher had been her lover. Her best friend before Anbu. He had kept his hair long, he used it to remember things in his past that he wanted to remember.

He had died in the fire that had torched her dojo when she was with her human. He had been her first lover and the one she thought she would spend forever with. But he had died. She hadn’t known what to do with her self for a long time but had promised to do as he had done. Grow his hair and teach. Keep her hair long to remember her life since then.

But now he could see that it was broken. Her hair gone, her past she wanted to remember lost and forgotten. Anbu sat next to her and rubbed her shoulder. “Look suck it up ok. Tough it out and get over it. It just means that you have to make new memories. Forget the past and make a new past. You have Mir. Be happy and forget all of that, all that was in the past and that is gone now. Forget it and make a new one cause that’s how it should be.” he said as he looked at her. “Stop being a b***h and just move on Thrud. Things happen for a reason and you need to get over this or your just going to keep getting worse.” he said as he leaned back on his hands and watched the trees.

Thrud looked at him and nodded. She knew he was right but she punched him in the arm any ways. He was such a d**k about feelings. She sighed. “I’ll try. Mir does help. But I hope that it doesn’t make things worse. I told her about it but…But I’m still worried that shes not happy.”
