For years, the realm of Venifica has been a peaceful land, the races either ignoring, or helping each other. five months ago, it all changed. Something Dark has risen from the ocean-side mountain range. It twists the minds of those creatures of Neutral affiliation and kills those of Light. No one knows what this Dark presence is or how it came to be, but they will stop at nothing to get rid of it and resume their peaceful ways. The dark creatures, drawn to it's presence, fight to stay away, though there are some who have jumped at the chance to rise above the rest. Join the Order, fight to save the realm from it's dark future, or Fall and become twisted, serving under a mysterious Lord in a quest for power and blood.

Venifica Mapinformation RP Realm: Venifica *Ocean-side Cities- Krusa, Teir, and Argent. *Desert towns- Galiam, Fornule, and Eradu. *Plains-towns- Berum, Desarg, and Serium. *Forest cities- Qntal, Yarnu, Hesaph. *Capitol City- Rendarum. Land:
*Forests- Mered in the northern region, Nuin in the southern.
*Swamp- Undrea, to the East.
*Dessert- Julas, between Undrea and Pultor.
*Plains- Pultor, stretches along the west, near the ocean's edge, connecting Mered and Nuin and hedging in Julas and Undrea.
*Mountains- Small range stretching from the center of Mered to the northern area of Julas. Another small range hidden in Nuin, along the southernmost edge. Races:
*Dark- Lycans, Dark Elves, Sorcerers, Vampires, Banshees', Hydras', Orc.
*Light- Neko, Wood Elves, Shamans, Shapeshifters, Veela, Phoenix, Nymphs.
*Neutral- Naga, Silver Elves, Mages, Humans, Goblins, Cerebus, Mer-folk.
* NOTE: Dark does not mean evil, nor does Light mean good. Territory:
*Lycans, Sorcerers, Vampires, Neko, Shamans, Shifters, Mages roam. No set territory.
*Dark Elves live in the forests of Mered, in the northern region of Venfica.
*Banshee keep to the edge of forests of Mered and the swamps of Undrea.
*Hydra's live in the mountainous region of Venifica.
*Orc have small bands in the dessert and roam there. They do not have set cities, but stay in the dessert area.
*The Wood and Silver elves share territory in the southern forest of Nuin.
*Veela stay near the borders of these woods.
*Nymphs can be found in any place, depending on the type of Nymph.
*Phoenix are rarely seen and no one knows where they live.
*Naga range along the borders of Mered and Undrea.
*Humans have settlements in many different places, though the do not venture too far into the mountains, Mered, Undrea, or Nuin.
*Goblins stay in the mountains.
*Cerebus can be found in the mountains, and in Mered. Rarely one is found in Nuin, but not often.
*Mer-folk live in the lakes and ocean edge, in mud huts at the floor of said places.Race Descriptions: (These are used for character creation)
*Lycan- Wolves who have the ability to turn into humanoid figures. They run in packs, living mostly in the forests or mountains. Larger then normal wolves, usually in colors varying from different shades of Black, Brown, Gray and White. In humanoid form they retain the dog-like ears and tail, fingernails are thicker and sharper, and the eyes always have a gold ring around the pupil.
*Dark Elf- Elves who are darker by nature. They have less of an aversion to blood and eat meat unlike the other Elven tribes. They generally have softly tanned skin, dark blue to black eye color, and dark hair. They have no set cities, but dwell in huts deep within the northern forest of Mered.
*Sorcerer- The product of a Vampire/Dark Elf pairing. The resemble humans, with dark hair, pointed ears, and a red ring around their pupil. Skilled in the use of blood magic, dark magic, and ritual magic.
*Vampire- Men cursed by the gods to partake of blood to survive. They have an aversion to sunlight, but it doesn't kill them. Silver will burn if it touches their skin, and takes longer to heal than other wounds. They can eat other food, but it gives no sustinance. They do not need to kill a human to drink, a pint of blood a week will suffice. They are wanderers, and do not have set settlements. Slightly advanced healing, but not super advanced. All teeth are sharply pointed, reminiscent of a canine.
*Neko – Felines with the ability to have a Humanoid form. They vary in species, from Tigers to cats. In humanoid form, they retain the cat-like ears, tail, and claws, with sharply pointed teeth. Silver ring around the outer rim of the iris, and slit pupils. Their habitats vary, depending on the species of Neko.
*Wood Elf- These elves are lighter in appearance, with blond hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. They abhor the partaking of flesh and eat only vegetables and fruit. While non-violent in nature, they can and will fight for their lands and selves if threatened. They dwell in the treetops of the southern forest, Nuin.
*Shaman- Men gifted with the power to heal and communicate with the Kigh, or Spirits of nature.
*Shapeshifter- Each shifter has three forms, depending on what they learn first. They can choose which creatures to study early in life, and pick which three they can use the most. Before they learn to shift (and after they gain their forms) they look like a human, with runes tattooed on their skin in swirling patterns that, when they choose, rearrange to depict which ever animals they have chosen to be. Once the three forms have been chosen, they cannot choose another, and are stuck with whichever forms they have decided upon.
*Veela- Elf-like beings who are very sexual in nature. Their Aura is like a drug, seducing people left and right. They learn to control it at a young age, and once they find their life mate, the Aura disappears, leaving them as normal as any other elf, though they will always be extremely beautiful in appearance. Most always female, males are rare and hard to find.
*Naga- Snake people. They are elves, long ago bred to be snake-like in appearance, with green, black or brown scaled skin, pointed ears, and no hair. Their tongues are forked like a snake's, and when angered, a film of venom forms around their teeth. They're very flexible, and shed their skins once a month. they have no eyelids, and so do not blink, but have a scale covering their eyes which protects them from dirt and harm.
*Silver Elf- These Elves have variations of silver, Gray, and White hair, with ice-blue, Silver, or Gray eyes. Their ears are pointed, their skin is pale, and they are generally a very peaceful bunch. The eat both meat and vegetables, though Fruit is their main food. They share the forest of Nuin with the wood elves, though they usually keep to themselves and live on the outskirts of the forest.
*Mage- Half-man, half-elf children, who can use magic.
Human- men, women and children with no special abilities aside from what they learn themselves. Often well versed in swordplay, scholarship, Forgery, and many other aspects of daily life. Cannot use magic.
Goblin- greedy, ugly, creatures who mine metals in the mountains. Their skin is a dark green, wrinkled and plated like armor, and their teeth are sharply pointed. Their ears are sharply pointed, sitting high on their head, and their eyes are a feral yellow-gold color. Creature Descriptions: (These are NOT for character creation.)
*Phoenix- Elemental birds, gifted with the ability to affect the environment. They are rare, and there are only one of each. There are different forms; Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Storm, Shadow, and Energy. Each is reborn in a different way: Fire through Ash, Water through Ice, Earth through Stone, Air through Steam, Storm through Clouds, Shadow through Light. Only Energy is never reborn, because it never dies.
Nymph- Creatures of mischief, living in different parts of the realm. Water nymphs like to seduce men at sea, cause rapids in rivers, and generally being a nuisance to those on boats. Tree Nymphs keep the trees healthy, and confuse those who wander into their parts of the forest. And so on and so forth. Generally female, males are rare and hard to find.
*Banshee- Creatures whose shriek deafens those who hear it. They resemble women, with long matted hair and sunken eyes. Dark gray skin, yellow eyes, and gray or black hair. The dwell in swamps, living in the murky waters and shrieking to find prey. Always female.
*Hydra- 7 headed Dragon-like creature. Lives in the mountains. Center head able to spit fire. Some heads have fangs which contain poison, others breathe a sleep inducing gas. Will attack if territory is invaded.
*Orc- Two legged creautres with thick spiraled horns on either side of the skull. Black skin, thickly muscled. Violent by nature, but not evil. They live in tribes, usually staying in the desert or mountains.
*Cerebus- three headed hound of hell. Excellent for guarding hidden treasure or gates to hidden castles or caves. Wild. Extremely viscious. Falls asleep when music of any kind is played.
*Mer-folk- Water-dwelling creatures with humanoid upper halves and aquatic lower halves. Violent against strangers in their territory. Dwell in small mud huts on the floor of oceans or lakes.

RULES
Send myself or Silencematters a PM with your character profile in it.
Please post at least one paragraph, this is a lit RP. And try to post at least once a week. If you're gone for longer than a month, your character will be 'killed' and you'll have to make a new one if you wish to join again. If you know that you will be gone for longer than a week, please inform either myself or Silence, so we know not to start watching how long you're gone for. If you didn't know (say your computer or internet gets taken), please FIND a way to tell us as soon as possible.
No auto kills. You can attack, but it is up to the person you are attacking if it hits or not, and NO, you cannot be invincible either. At least 2 of 5 hits MUST land, else you are being unreasonable.
Within the romance department, please keep everything PG16, or time skip.
Be realistic with your characters, we're fantasy folk, not super-humans.
PM myself or Silence with your questions when you have them. If it's a question about something in the RP (say where somebody went, or who is standing where, put it in ((...)), [[...]], or {{...}} to distinguish it from the RP.
We will add rules as needed. We want this to be a fun RP, and will try to keep it running. Silence will act as narrator, pushing things along if you get stuck somewhere, or writers block interferes. I play the mysterious Darkness, known only as Lord Raiden.
Characters have no set limit, but please try and keep yourself to between 3 and 6, so as to keep things from getting too confusing.
Accepted Characters will be posted by myself or Silencematters, to keep from interrupting the flow of Role Play. When you see that your character has been posted, only then may you join in the action. If your character has not been posted, and you post anyway, you will be warned and your character (no matter how good) be held in consideration for a day. For quicker acceptance of a character, please send a small preview of your RPing style, to show how you play.
Use of the spell check is highly advised for those with problems spelling.

Akthough her kind are usualy nuetral, and she despises doing her job, she is forced to work with the dark entity as a spy and whatever else it have her do. Although she is blind she is one of the best fighters, and hunters around. Character name: Vanya Age: 19 Race: Lycan Alignment: chaotic good (though dark by nature, he fights the pull towards Lord Raiden.) Appearance: Human-  Wolf- Weapons: The blades, instead of being held in sheaths, were enchanted by a scorcerer to dissolve into his skin, becoming tattoos across his back while in human form. They are blood-bonded to him and him alone. Powers: Shifting between forms. Enhanced speed and senses when in human form, but not unduly so (aka, not faster than an elf, but faster than a human). Bio: Vanya has lived with a pack for most of his life, traveling the forests and plains alike. five months ago most of his pack was destroyed by the Dark presence known only as Lord Raiden. Fleeing, Vanya took shelter among the forests with the silver and wood elves, fighting the urge to join the dark beast. He is quiet and polite, a near perfect gentleman. When angered, he will snarl and growl, lashing out with a vicious tongue and biting sarcasm rather than claws and teeth, unless he or his loved ones are attacked. Quirks: Vanya has always hated pink flowers. If he sees one, he will shift, sit down in front of it, and rip it to tiny shreds slowly and carefully before resuming what he was doing.

RP START
Tension was thick in the air. Fear was a sweet tang on his tongue. He smiled, fingering the arm of his chair lovingly, and chuckled, causing the wolves nearby to quiver, in fear or pleasure, it mattered not to him. Things were progressing nicely, and he was secure in his Hall. Venifica would fall, and rise anew, under his rule. An end to the old. A new World. Red eyes gleamed with glee and a wave of killing intent forced the Lycans to their bellies, whimpering with adoration. Oh it was good to be bad.

Usagi was fidgeting uncomfrotably. She was standing at the edge of the room away from her leader. She was a silver elf but of course she worked for the wrong people. The darkness trying to take over the lands. She was only glad that she couldn't see the man who held so much power. She didn't particularly like working here but everytime she had tried to leave she was punished severly for it. She continued to shift uncomfrotably and although she was blind she made her way to the door she had memorized. she wanted to leave for a bit.
