Beginning at his feet, he has slender, slightly elongated toes, and high arches, allowing light stepping and quick side-to-side shuffling to come easy to him. His calves and thighs are the strongest part of his build, with both being iron-toned, but his thighs having the largest muscle density. His torso is similarly toned, with his abdomen having little to no fat, but focusing more on flexibility and support than bulk. His arms and shoulders are fairly muscular, but about at the level of an accomplished gymnast, rather than someone who regularly lifts weights. His hands have long, slender fingers, which are extremely agile and quick, each practically having a mind of its own. His next is also slender, leading up to a strong but soft jaw line, with a similarly slender chin, nose, and lips. His eyes are oval, slightly deep set, and thoughtful in appearance, nearly seeming to always be half-closed. His cheekbones are the only sharp aspect of his appearance, and cut back to small, inconsequential ears, which hide beneath a head of silky black hair, which always seems to be messy. For clothing, he wears a slim-fitting shihakushō, minus the shitagi and hakama, the latter of which is replaced with a pair of black zubon pants, which have the ends tucked into calf-length flexible canvas tabi, with soft soles made of seven layers of hardened canvas. ___________________PersonalityKenshin is a primarily soft spoken person, who tries to keep to himself most of the time. He is not overly fond of people, but neither is he put off by them. Generally, he simply finds their company to be tiresome, as they require him to actually put out effort and attempt to appease them with conversation. Needless to say, he is introverted, and does all of his thinking on the inside, often going a full day without speaking a single word. When he does speak, he does so politely, but quickly, choosing as few words as possible, and often being blunt in their delivery. In friendships, he is similarly quiet, but also more outspoken, and will actually engage in light conversation with someone that he likes. He loosens up considerably with sake in his system, a practice which he usually partakes of in private. His personality carries over into battle, as he prefers to not fight at all, but also will try to end a fight as quickly as possible. As such, he is merciless, and doesn't care if he kills someone, or simply incapacitates them.___________________Biography Kenshin was born in Nagasaki, Japan, on the island of Kyūshū, to a humble fisherman and a seamstress. He spent the majority of his younger years working with his mother in providing the upkeep for small garden, so that they would have food to eat other than the fish that his father occasionally brought home. When he was old enough, he left the small house to help his father with the fishing, in hopes that he would be able to improve the family's revenue, and eating. When he first set foot on the fishing boats, he was fourteen. For the next seven years, he worked with his father, occasionally coming home every now and then and spending a few weeks on dry land to help his mother with the gardening again, and sometimes staying out for several days, trying his best to bring home something that would last the family for some time. Four months after his twentieth birthday, on the twenty second of December, he fell ill with pneumonia, but continued to work on the boats, refusing to be bedridden when his family needed him. During this time, a thunderstorm raged across the island, and a large wave knocked him from the boat and into the frigid waters. He died three days later of his illness, his body unable to support him any longer. After waking up in the Rukongai, and learning of his fate, he decided to join the shinigami academy, where he hopes to improve himself, and become a fine shinigami.______________________________ZanpakutōName: Gōken - (轟拳, Thundering Fist)Spirit: ShaolinInner World: A small clearing, surrounded by towering bamboo forest that allows no room in between individual plants. The clearing's floor is cobblestone, and roughly thirty meters in diameter. Towards the sky, the bamboo turns inwards, so that the effect is like standing in a large bamboo hut.Sealed Form: Bamboo___________________ShikaiRelease Phrase: Ore - (折る, [Or-ay], Break)As the weapon releases, it glows a bright green, then shatters, rapidly reforming into a double-ended meteor hammer with a three meter long steel mesh rope, that is highly flexible, but extremely durable. The weighted ends of this mesh-rope, and the rope itself, are composed of an antiqued green iron-like metal, nearly making it seem like they have rusted slightly, despite having no actual damage to the weapon. The ends themselves are in the shape of tightly closed fists, and are the size of a large man's hand. The rope's width is initially an inch and a half, but as it stretches, it can constrict to a tighter width, down to 1/4 of an inch. When either fist strikes a target, it causes a compressed reiatsu concussion, similar to a thunderclap. This concussion is translated as three times the kinetic energy of the weapon at the moment of impact.
Hōgeki - (砲撃, Bombardment)
A simple, two-strike combination attack in which the first fist strikes, and sends out a circular shockwave, then the second fist strikes, and detonates the shockwave, causing an eruption of energy that radiates out from the origin of contact in the form of a very violent explosion, stopping at the edge of the shockwave, which stops moving at the moment the second strike makes contact. The size of the shockwave may thus be controlled by the spacing of time between strikes.
