Valkyrie Hatter Is it silenced like a Delisle? Not stock, but integrally silenced barrels are available. I'd rather have the DeLisle, personally, because the semi-auto bit raises the noise level, and the SMLE was known for being one of the smoothest and fastest bolt-actions ever to see combat.

I'd pick a Delisle too because they're collectable.

thats the thing about the delisle, where is anyone even going to get one?
sure you can have one built, but that would probably cost even more than an original assuming you can find one. I dont think any were ever imported.
maybe one day in the future someone might make a bolt action .45 that can be integrally suppressed.
I know there have been a quite a few converted enfields in .410 that have been imported....maybe those would be your best bet at recreating a delisle?
edit: aha! wait a tick, theres a few .45 acp enfield rifles out there that take 1911 mags. THOSE would be your best bet.

THOSE would be your best bet. Special Interest Arms custom-builds DeLisles, and they do it for only a couple hundred bucks if you supply the rifle (plus tax, of course). And all DeLisles take 1911 mags, it's how they were designed. I think the originals required a modification, but I'm not sure. However, this does give an excellent and legitimate use for the ProMag 45-round 1911 drum.

Hey, wait a minute... if you switched it like that, that would make the other DeLisle have a matching set of Monte Carlo stocks!
