Well this guild is kinda dead...so in attempts to revive...
Hey guys! Havi, here! I just wanted to tell you about this cool new fanfic I'm reading on Luna. It's a Zelda: Twilight Princess and Yu Yu Hakusho crossover. So, you might think that according to each of the character's role in the show, that Yuusuke would play Link; Princess Zelda, Keiko; Botan, Midna; or something along those lines...
Hehehe...but one minor detail,
the pairing is HieixReader,
which means...
YOU GUESSED IT! Our Hero of Time is none-other than the angsty fire demon himself!
Midna is the reader. (Who is also hinted to be a Zelda fanatic.)
And Kurama is...Princess Zelda. biggrin
No other characters have made their appearances yet.
I don't know how many of you have played the Zelda games, but the protagonist, Link, is a young boy with nerves of steel and a heart of gold! Many times he is swept into these messes out of the goodness of his heart, and is frequently asked for favors, leading to him into dangerous, save-the-world situations...
Now,
imagine Hiei being put into that position...

Sounds fun! I've never played Zelda (or most video games other than the old ones that are easy to find), but I like Japanese browser RPGs and visual novels...It would be fun to see Hiei as an RPG character (though I'm not really in to HieixKurama)!

I feel like I've seen that particular fic floating around Luna before....I've never actually read it, though, since I'm not familiar with Zelda.
I highly doubt Hiei would willingly just go out and save the world, though. He'd be more like, "The world can go to hell, for all I care. Just don't touch Yukina, and leave me a few idiots to kill while you're at it."

I've played the zelda series before, (I couldn't get past the boss of the goron mines in twilight princess, though... stare ) and all I can say are: WTF?!
Why does Kurama have to be Zelda, are you trying to be a gender-bender or something?!?! gonk
and Who's gonna be Ganondorf?

Guess we'll find out. c(: WyndiWingfall I highly doubt Hiei would willingly just go out and save the world, though. He'd be more like, "The world can go to hell, for all I care. Just don't touch Yukina, and leave me a few idiots to kill while you're at it." (giggles since that's exactly what happened in the fic) Hiei has to be constantly bribed and convinced to go on all these quests. Typically the motive is for him to get back to his world and what-not. xD

I've been reading this fic for a while, actually. I really like it since I love TP so much.
The funniest thing about the pairing, though, is that Link is designed as a player-avatar. He doesn't have much of a personality and doesn't speak because you're supposed to imagine that you're him (hence you're allowed to name him and Epona the horse, etc.) So in all actuality, this story is ReaderXReader. LMFAO.
Although, I really do like the story, and she's doing great things with it--putting Hiei in as Link is pretty creative. And I think it works with this game when it might not necessarily work with other Zelda games since Link is a lot darker and more vicious in this game. Kurama as Zelda just about made my day when I first read it. biggrin

Honestly, though, when I was first reading this paragraph, I thought you were going to talk about how Hiei is the least applicable character to Link. xD Everyone's always asking Link for favors, which he gladly does. As players, we sympathize and our happy to help whilst saving the world, as well! But with Hiei, he's pretty self-reliant and is pretty dogmatic about his and everyone else's independence. Basically, if there was no reason for him to help, other than the goodness of his heart, he wouldn't. 'Cause you know, Hiei's just bursting with charity. InkMistress Although, I really do like the story, and she's doing great things with it--putting Hiei in as Link is pretty creative. And I think it works with this game when it might not necessarily work with other Zelda games since Link is a lot darker and more vicious in this game. My thoughts exactly! The darkness in this game in particular corresponds REALLY well with Hiei. Of any game she could've picked, this was definitely her best choice. I just hope to see future installments.
