Shibusen Grounds
The Academy has wide balconies for students to access and the grounds in front of the entrance are also used as a makeshift battleground for training fights between students. During these battles, a member of staff must be present to view the fight. The area near Shibusen also seems to be a forest area, where some students like Maka and her team use it as a training ground.

Kohana walked up to the school and looked around, she was slightly confused she to where she was exactly " Excuse me. " She gently touched a girl on her arm and with her thick accent it would be obvious that she was an 'out-of towner'. She girl looked at her and laughed, leaving Kohana standing there. Kohana wanted to run up and punch her right in the face but she didn't want to make a bed first impression on the first day.
She walked around the courtyard for sometime before just sitting on the steps of the school and watched everyone talk and find there partner. She remembered that she came from a family of sword weild meisters...she knew that somewhere in the crowd that she would find her ideal weapon and all her dreams, aspirations, goals...whatever you would want to call them would come true.

ɣuji ✩ ʑanzaki Ϩtar ✩ 2.0 ▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁ ↪ Right, now all he could think about was how he was acting. It was so strange, it all seemed to start as soon as he smiled. Like it had counteracted with his whole being...But he liked the feeling of being happy. Being......Happy... at the thought of these words. Yuji came to a stop which seemed to be in a big school yard which he didn't notice the sign that said school grounds. As he came to a halt he rested for a minute, before he sat down against the schools walls. He started running through all the things that had happened before now, before he was ever truly filled with joy like he was in the cafeteria. That seemed to be the whole bane of it, he had never been happy until that moment. The moment he met his first friend Valentine Kyrie. Yuji was so deep in thought that he hadn't realized that the he had calmed down, and wasn't as hectic as before. But he could still feel it slightly that it was in him, that turmoil could come out at anytime....Was it cause he was finally happy for once in his lonely childhood? He only hoped this wasn't the reason... But now that he was thinking about he seemed to look back on his past years. Soon, enough he was lost in his thoughts like what seemed like always. Thinking of times he was a child, where he could have stood out and made a few friends but chose to be just another pretty face in the background. It was just in time for the family clan's tournament to see what rank you would have in the family fighters, until the next year of course. The month before that Yuji's dad just trained him non-stop... and if he didn't do something right he would have to start over in basic drills all over again. He couldn't remember to the exact point of what the training was about and what it actually trained. He had gone so much of it, it was just like.... an arcade for him. But back to the tournament, it was the last match before the finals which he had already been sent straight to due to being the head of the clans only child and next in line to lead his people. But the fight was between his two cousin's they were about the same age twelve, and thirteen. He didn't really know there names, that or anyone else for the matter. Since he never really was that talkative....and lonely. The twelve year old named Shinko had won while Yan had lost. But this was just something that seemed to be expected. A younger Yuji had just looked on with dimmed lost eyes. As he got up and got ready for the next fight. But just as he did so, Yan's father went on a rampage, arguing that his son was older.. so how could he have lost strength wise? Everyone else just ignored him and told him to go on with his life, at-least his son was ranked third. But then Yan's dad tried to assault young Shinko....Yuji could have stopped it from happening he had enough training to stop him right there. But he just froze up and did nothing...like a carp that doesn't try and fight back against the current as he goes up stream. But his dad had to stop Yan's father who was later scolded for trying to hurt his own kinsman. The ranking match was canceled and Yuji nor Shinko had to fight each other.. Which was good cause at the time Yuji didn't enjoy anything that involved most others. But after that day seeing that his clan was full of hate and violence, if this was something he was supposed to inherit he would never let anything like that incident happen again. Trying to live up to what he had promised himself he had started to train. More, and more.. To the point where he started to enjoy it. This was the time period when stumbled upon the book about DWMA in his clan's library, where he would try his best to be like his Idol.. At the moment of this, Yuji completely came of his little flashback. He had finally come to a realization of what and why he was so hectic back then in the cafeteria. He tried to hard to be his Idol instead of trying to be inspired by him. Which had seemed to affect his happiness as well, Thinking more about this, his soul seemed to calm a bit as well. But was still in a agitated form, Yuji knew he needed to talk more about this with someone...someone, a switch in his mind clicked and as if a light bulb light up in his head he remembered Val. After that crazy outburst it wouldn't be that much of a surprised if she said she didn't want to be partners anymore. What was he gonna do? Ugh he thought hopefully they would come together and could talk about, maybe talking to her could help him figure out more about himself... and his soul it's self. Since she help great importance in his heart as his first friend and newly acquired partner. But thinking if she just flat out said no, then he would have to go look for a new partner again. At the thought of this his eyes seemed to fade a little more and came back down to a half-way point. Maybe, he should just leave DWMA and never come back. Never try and figure out what was wrong with him in the first place. But suddenly No came to his mind, that would be running away and that's something His Idol...no his role model Black Star would never do. At the thought of his Yuji jumped up and smiled even if it did make his soul a little shaky. He walked out into the school grounds more wondering if Val had chased after him. After all it must have been a while since he ran out of there. ↩ ▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁ "To surpass a godly level was a goal accomplished by only one." "Never give your reasons, for your judgement will probably be right," __________________________________________ The hallways were painfully windy. Running at a full spring through them to make up some of the time she had waited took almost everything out of her. Unlike most girls her age, who simply sit back and pretend to work during Physical Education classes, Val liked to exert a full effort. She could do two pull-ups. Ten push-ups, without her knees on the ground. A mile in under eight minutes. Which is why she was slightly embarrassed by how out-of-breath she was. At the same time, it was necessary; on her run she realized that waiting too long might not have been kind, and rather rude, as he might have been expecting her to follow and rather she stayed behind, making it seem as though she didn't care. But Val did care, and this was why after realizing this she ran at full speed to catch up, or at least with the hopes of doing so. Maybe it was her bag that was slowing her down? An Xbox, several games, and several volumes of manga generally weighed a person down. How much had it weighed before she left? She didn't remember the exact weight, but at the same time she toughed it out to make it here without seeming rude.
In reflection, why did she run so hard to get here? It hadn't been two hours since she met him, and yet she had not only decided to be his partner for at least the next four years but also to chase after him when he had a bit of a break down back there? While Val was a nice person, she wasn't that nice. Her mildly analytical brain thought through this. Undoubtedly, there was something about him... A bond? While Val hadn't been told jack about Shibusen, she did know one thing; the bonds of a Meister and Partner couldn't be forced. In other words, if you just go with whomever, your bond will be weak. Which must mean that there was something about him that had bonded with her, somehow. If you think about chemical bonding, don't molecules bond to fill their electron shell? Applying that to humans, wouldn't that mean that a person can create a good bond if their partner fills in something about them, something which is missing, in other words giving them another electron to fill their valance shell? Well, this was the first time Val had thought of human relationships as such, but she supposed that this was the reason why people referred to good relationships as "having chemistry"?
Probably not. Like most things over-analyzed, there was probably a more simple surface message which was the source of something such as that. But in this case, Val thought that the molecule metaphor worked pretty well. From what she could tell so far, it didn't seem like they were that similar, which was probably for the best. Double-bladed swords only end up getting yourself cut. Yet completely different people can't create a powerful bond, either. They were similar, and yet not. While Val couldn't figure out what it is about him which filled a gap within her soul, she knew that whatever it was she would only find out by getting to know him better. Which they surely would; most Meister-Weapon pairs don't switch throughout all four years at Shibusen. Which meant, including this year, four years to get to know Yuji. Not to mention the fact that they would be living with each other (a fact which she had been told applies to all male-female Meister-Weapon pairs, as the same gender pairs generally live in the dorms). For this reason, Val was not overly concerned with finding out more about him right away, or even asking what was bothering him. That, he could figure out on her own. But it was still wisest for her to follow him.
And so Val reached the school grounds and stood there out of breath. Since she still felt oddly wimpy about being so out of breath, Val forced herself to stand up straight and she looked at Yuji, smiling and panting at the same time. She wanted him to know that she didn't feel he was a weirdo or anything of the sort, and that no matter what she was sure that they would remain partners here; also she was panting because when she stopped her brain didn't get enough oxygen and she felt dizzy. It seemed as though he had had an epiphany or something of the sort which changed his personality, as he seemed a bit more at piece. How was Val to know, though? Maybe he was just faking it so that when, or if (possibly in his mind?) she came, she wouldn't be worried about him? Something told her that this was not the case; and as such Val regained herself and smiled at him. After a few moments, she had even stopped panting enough to be able to say something to him. But what was there to say? Some sort of words seemed necessary, but at the same time they evaded her.
Maybe a moment of silence was best, for now. Val stood there, saying nothing, but simply waiting for Yuji to say something, anything. Right now, of all times, was less the time for her to speak and more for him. He didn't need to explain his outburst, but if nothing else Val felt that it would be most important for him to say something about the events which had occurred. After all, it had been he who had dashed out of the cafeteria, not her. If he had any doubts, about their partnership, then he should say so. Val did not, but honestly her chasing after him was probably enough to tell him that she did not have any doubts. And if Yuji did have any doubts, it would honestly crush Val. While it pained her to admit having such a bond with someone, it was true that they were the perfect, compatible partners, from what she could tell. So she stood there, her smile fading so that he could respond without thinking that she was just smiling dorkily at him. __________________________________________

Jimmy navigated his way to the stairs of the school grounds. Climbing up the steps he felt a chill. He stopped, and looked out towards the gate smiling as he did so. He turned back around and continued his walk," He should be here any day now. If he isn't he better start learning quick on how to get stronger," Jimmy climbed the last stair before seeing the vast campus of Shibusen grounds. The first thing he saw was the symmetry of the large building," I wonder if when they made the building, if they purposely mean to build it so symmetrically," Jimmy gazed at the building a bit more, then began to check the campus itself. The school grounds wwere like that of a university college. He looked back towards the laughing sun and thought to himself, Too bad I have to destroy this place. I would've love to keep this place as a fortress, and home, Jimmy walked back to the front, then through the schools doors his mission had begun.

ɣuji ✩ ʑanzaki Ϩtar ✩ 2.0 ▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁ ↪ Yuji, had come to a stop, as it seemed he didn't even have to go that far. For she was right there taking heavy breathes, like a dead tired little angel. Thinking of this Yuji came to laugh at it, he couldn't believe that she had actually ran this far. She didn't have to, for it was his fault being all weird in the cafeteria. Thinking about it again Yuji put his hand on his star covered heart. He could feel it beat at a steady pace, but yet it seemed all off to him. Closing his eyes he could still feel the turmoil with-in. But it wasn't important right now for it seemed to be subdued. Ever since he seemed to has that flashback and remember the promise he made to himself. Opening his eyes again, he smiled at Val and kinda acted out of character and stuck his tongue out at her. As he pulled it back it he embraced her, it was kinda sudden as he had never been this comfortable with anyone before, well he was with his mother. But that was another case. "Thanks for coming, you didn't have to but you did. It shows how invaluable you are, and from this day on as your Partner I'll protect you." Yuji had let go of her as she seemed to stop panting. That was totally out of his usual character he thought. But it just seemed right for the moment, well since it was her anyways. He could just laugh as he thought more of it. He was doing it so often now it might just become his thing. Looking, around he had noticed that they were alone. Maybe this would be a good time for the held of spar. But the turmoil that was hiding in the bottom of his soul, was what was on his mind. He didn't feel that much right now, but what if fighting provoked it? Or maybe it was he was trying to be who he wasn't? Dammit, this was so confusing. He sighed as he looked down, he was spacing out to much and making the conversation between the two to empty. But the more he thought about it, the more it just popped up, the only way to test it was to spar with Val. His theory and of course his partner. She said when he was well in a more right state, and now he was sorta. He just laughed as he thought of it more. Bending down he began to stretch his left leg, and then his right. Then both as he did a split, he had to push himself up afterward. Getting up fully he cleaned himself off thoroughly, next he moved on to his arms as he swung them each once in a circle. Stopping he came to look Val directly in the eyes. It seemed as if he was looking straight into her soul and it seemed to be glad she found him. Getting in a ready to go fighting position, his loose hand's turned into slightly clenched fist. "Well, Val, Im in a right state of mind and it's time to spar....'Cause I really wanna see what you can do" He said smiling nonchalantly. " "But, if you don't you can just say no, and we can save it for when class starts." Yuji said with a smile as he dismissed his fight pose. and just smiled at her waiting for a response. He closed his eyes as he could still feel his eyes were a little faded, still like a lost little puppy. But some how they grew on his as his trade mark. Thinking of this he laughed a little silently to himself. He couldn't let Val see him laugh all the time especially to himself, sh would think he was going insane....again. ↩ ▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁ "To surpass a godly level was a goal accomplished by only one." "Never give your reasons, for your judgement will probably be right," __________________________________________ While Val was catching her breath, she was startled by the fact that he just randomly embraced her. Instantly, her face flushed with color. In all honesty, it was despite herself trying to regain her composure. But the sheer out-of-the-blue nature of the hug caused her to blush. When he said that he would protect her, Val blushed even deeper. However, when he let her go Val manage to bring her face back to a normal degree of redness. That act seemed oddly out-of-character from how he'd been before, but then again Val hardly knew him. At the same time, her gladness that she would still have a partner overpowered that. Even if she still wasn't sure how to transform into a weapon, she was sure that she would learn quickly, and then they could begin their journey together at this school. Saying it like that would normally make Val cringe; it sounded like she was some cheesy character in a manga where the writer had finally run out of cool sounding things for the character to say and ended up resorting to really stupid things and typing a lot of random words about said topic just for the sake of making the paragraph take up an entire box.
Once he let go, he instantly began to stretch and Val couldn't help but smile. Before he even said anything, Val knew that he hadn't forgotten about their agreement to spar. Of course she wouldn't be able to say no, as he seemed so extremely excited about the idea of them sparring. And he was stretching and such... While Val couldn't transform into a weapon, she could kinda fight and maybe that would be good enough. Honestly, this battle was his but a test of strength wouldn't hurt. After all, Val could do to know how powerful he was just as much as he could do to know how powerful she was. They were partners, and the only way for one to truly understand a person's heart is through battle. And that line she did pick up from manga/video games. Still, this battle would help her to analyze her own weaknesses as well as maybe see some of his. In the future, Val could see very many similar spars occurring, after all they both had the same though pattern here; that the best way to learn each other's strengths and weaknesses was through duking it out.
Val smiled and walked a little ways away to set down her bag. If anyone tried to steal it, they were dead. Then she turned back to Yuji and said simply, "I'm assuming that you're still keeping the agreement that I get the first move?" she smiled benignly as she cracked her knuckles once again. Saying this was only out of courtesy. Whether or not he "let" her, she was going to go in for the first move. Because she wanted to finish this as soon as possible. While she was agreeing to sparring with him, she still wasn't a fan of fighting. Yet she still had a feeling that many more fights would becoming in the future... Especially at this school. There were rumors about Shibusen. Of course, many of said rumors were ridiculous, there was a reputation for a lot of fighting. Which was quite dodgy for those who think Shibusen is a normal high school; after all a school where half the students can turn into weapons at will was bound to have some sort of violence, no matter how hard the administration tried to make it otherwise.
Turn into a weapon at will... Val thought about this. She couldn't turn into a weapon, at least she didn't know how. The only reason she knew that she was a weapon was because she had been told such when she registered for the school... But now was not the time to be thinking about that. Eventually, she would learn how to turn into a weapon. And when she did, their team would be invincible (hyperbole). For now, all she had to do was spar with Yuji, and maybe answers would come. She moved her right foot back and pushed off of that. Without giving Yuji a chance to think (he was ready enough, right?) she stepped in quickly and closed the gap between them in barely a second. Frankly, Val was amazed by her speed. Her weapon form must be something fast, something swift. But now, Val was focused. The focus obtained from hours playing video games (ironic?). Pulling her right arm back, she aimed upwards with an open palm strike aimed at Yuji's nose. If the blow hit dead-on, it would break his nose. Which would be kind of unfortunate, but at the same time it was the first place Val thought to aim. __________________________________________

ɣuji ✩ ʑanzaki Ϩtar ✩ 2.0 ▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁ ↪ Yuji, couldn't believe how fast she had accelerated towards him. It's as if she ran everyday. But to him it all seemed to slow, and uncoordinated. He didn't mean to be arrogant or mean, but she didn't have training like he did so it was to be expected. But if they trained together constantly she would be on par with anyone. But realizing this wasn't the time space out Yuji noticed she had gotten closer, way closer. Being a little shocked about it he started to get ready, as she went forward with the hit. It was an open palm one at that. It seemed to be towards his nose, something that was straight forward showing she wanted to end this right away. Closing his eyes Yuji stepped back as he felt it only graze the tip of his nose. Opening his eyes, he saw that she was open for an attack. Not wanting to over do it, a thought came to mind. He had to learn how to channel his wavelength, to use his soul menace attack. But if he was to do it with his fist that would be cruel, and he didn't really enjoy hitting women. But deciding to go with it, he rushed towards Val.. Charging his left hand with wavelength even if it was only a small amount. Which is all he could do at the moment, he opened his palm and went for her forehead. As his palm reached her forehead he stopped it and turned it with his fingertips facing her, as he then just flicked her with his middle finger that was charged with a small amount of his soul's wavelength. ↩ ▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁ "To surpass a godly level was a goal accomplished by only one." "Never give your reasons, for your judgement will probably be right," __________________________________________ Honestly, Val was not surprised that she was caught off guard. In an instant, she was sent on her back and lay there stunned for a moment. What was that attack he used? It was not a normal blow, that was for sure. Like in a video game, it appeared that her partner had a special attack. Which he had used against her. Maybe she was worthy? Or maybe it wasn't actually his special attack. Either way, Val knew she was defeated and for a moment couldn't move. The ten count probably passed, and a little while after it she regained her footing and stood up. After standing up so quickly, she staggered a bit before fully gaining her balance. Or so she thought. Whatever his blow had been evidently shook up her brain, and for a moment she staggered around as though she were pure dead bawsed. Just thinking this was a sure sign that her brain truly was shaken, as Val usually avoided using slang, especially "pure dead" which just annoyed her. It didn't even make sense, how something could be "pure dead". "Pure" makes more sense, but saying "pure dead" doesn't. You're either dead, or your not. You're not "pure dead".
After a while, it occurred to Val that it was cleverer to not move than to stumble around like a drunkard. So she stood on wobbly legs for a moment. In all honesty, she felt lame by how poorly she took the blow. It wasn't a moment after her brain was well enough to think this that her legs stopped shaking and she stood normally. Only about thirty seconds had passed, but it was still miserable. Neither of them had broken a sweat, and less than a minute had proceeded in the spar before she was out. With a smile to tell Yuji that she was alright, she teasingly waved her hands above her head as a boxing referee does and said, in her best impersonation of an American accent, "K.O.!" Val chuckled lightly at how easily she had fallen. Whether or not he laughed along was his choice, but Val was choosing to take this lightly; she didn't know how to transform into a weapon or anything of the sort and he had that ability up his sleeve. Even if he hadn't used that ability, it probably would have ended just as soon. But this was good for Val, because now she knew that if, for some reason, she was incapacitated in battle, Yuji would still be able to fight.
For now, she was kind of glad that their spar was over. Her first fight ever, and against an opponent far more powerful than she. Surely, she would grow and become stronger, they would both become stronger. This thought was enough to put a weird feeling of devotion, a will to fight. It was something Val had never felt before, despite reading about it so often in those cheesy Shonen. At the same time, it occurred to Val that all this was real; here she was at an academy where she would learn how to fight alongside a powerful man such as Yuji and fight against the evil of the world and protect unsuspecting citizens, as she had been not a week ago. With a slight smile, Val said to Yuji, "Well, now that that's over it looks as if we shall have to find another way of occupying time." Then, she chuckled at the ridiculousness of the situation. Honestly, it was enough to make one full on laugh. Plus, she was trying to joke around with this last comment, after all there were plenty of other ways to occupy time, but the last twenty or thirty minutes had been taken up by a build up just for a fight that took no more than thirty seconds. __________________________________________

He took staircase after staircase as he headed in an upwardly direction. He took door after door after door as he tried to find the way out. He was completely lost. Did that stop him? Nope. If he couldn't find an exit, he'd make one. He only clench his fist as he reared back punching the wall with enough force that his whole arm went through the wall making an opening with somewhat explosive force that the people outside fighting could see. The hole he had made immediately led him to a balcony on one of the higher floors. He then walked through the hole he had just made before looking around only to see a door right next to his hole.
"Oh. It was the next one."
He than began to look around for Hamilia thinking that she had been following right behind her. When he didn't see her he went back to the hole he had just made and poked his head through to see if she was in the corridor that he had just came from. When he didn't see her there, he went back to the edge of the balcony and then lifted up his arm to rub his head only to find her still attached to his hand.
"Oh. There you are."

The world has no limitations on strength but.. **********************************************************As Galland stepped outside he took a deep breath in, “How refreshing!" Renire continued to walk with Autumn further outside. He watched as other meisters and weapons arrived, while others who had already partnered up were practicing, some together, some against each other. Galland let go of Autumns hand, "So lets do this." Galland smirked at her "Let’s see your weapon form" he said still smiling. Galland was excited to finally see her weapon form, he just hoped it matched his personality. ***********************************************************

Autumn looked over to Galland and nodded, moving a bit so that he was facing her and she was facing him. If she was going to do this, then it'd be better to stand in a place where he could see her completely. "Alright then... well, here goes..!" She said a bit hesitantly. She rarely changed into her weapon form too often, so she wasn't used to it completely used to the whole thing yet. Although, she has a meister so it might happen often enough to get her used to it. Back to changing into weapon form now. With a bit of concentration for her, a dim flash of light surrounded her body and once it faded out, a sword was left in her place. With a blue and yellow handle and blade to match, she was in her weapon form. She just hoped that Galland caught the handle before her form hit the ground. The world has no limitations on strength but.. **********************************************************Galland was memorized by the elegance of the sword. He quickly snapped out his trance and grabbed the blade with his left hand . " What the...!!!" The weight of the blade surprised him, but he quickly grabbed it with his right hand. " Who would think that such a small girl could become so heavy." Galland laughed a little but after realizing what he said was kind of mean he quickly apologized, "Heh sorry..." Galland swung the blade around a little, but then he felt a little static, "Ouch!" He had forgotten the most important thing, synchronizing their souls. "I almost forgot to synchronize our souls." Galland held the blade to his forehead . When he did he could feel the presence of her soul right their next to his, "Heh this feels kind of weird..." He opened his eyes, and the static feeling in his hand was gone. ***********************************************************
