It is not uncommon for people to create "additions" to the Bible. I'm not talking about the kind of additions that change meaning, I'm talking about personal and moral additions that you follow because of your personal beliefs and to help make yourself a better person.
I'll start to demonstrate and then add on later as I think of more.
While it isn't a sin to drink, I avoid all alcohol (with the exclusion of cough drops and medicine) to avoid any temptation or chance of impaired judgment. I'm probably the one guy in the army who doesn't drink (jk) mrgreen

I don't date (at least not at the moment) It's not a sin to date nor is it even looked down upon. I don't date because 1. I'd like for my heart to at least be mostly intact for my future husband. 2. I don't want to put myself in certin situations.
When I do date it will be because I'm looking to get married not to just have a boyfriend, I'll probably go on group dates, and it will be God centered.
