Something is up with my FFX game- or somethings up with yojimbo, the hidden aeon. For those of you who dont know yojimbo is an aeon you have to pay about 250,000 gil to get and you have to pay him to attack- the more you pay the better are the attacks (or that is how its SUPOSED to work)
Anyways after you have been to zanarkand you can travel freely around, i decided to go to the calm lands to deliver some monsters i had captured, and then fought the boss they forged. When i did this i decided to summon yojimbo and when i fought, i noticed something was wierd: when i summond him he used his (those three small knives) attack AUTOMATACLY! I didnt pay him at all. Then the next round when i paid him 10-100 gil he would send his dog and it would do 9,999 damage, if i payd 1000, 2000, 4000 or 5000/ more, he would use his sword (Wakizashi) and it would do LESS damage than his dog. Now here is the BEST part- when i paid him 3,000 (no more no less), he used Zanmato HIS ULTIMATE 1HIT KO ATTACK eek Now to usually use this you have to pay confused I think half of your gil or more (or maby it was all your gil, i duno have never paid him that much) and i had about 300,000 gil cool
I even used it to kill Dark Valefore and later (another day) Dark Shiva, so that i could get back to besaid. Is it a glich or something or have i just misunderstood and every yojimbo works like that?

I want to say it was like that in my game, but I so rarely used him. I'm pretty sure there's some flaws in his system, though.

Huh, wow. Yeah, I never used him much either, but I did experiment with paying him different amounts for a while, but I remember I never got anything worth it, even when I spent a lot.
So, if it is a glitch, congratulations! Have you tried spending 3,000 again, to see if you get Zanmato again? (If so, it probably is a glitch.)

I did, butr the wierd thing is, sometimes it works blaugh , sometimes it does not work... crying but I also used it l8r to kill dark shiva

Some games do have glitches like that. I'm pretty sure it's just a glitch.

I cry when I think of you. If I remember correctly from when I used to have the FFX strategy guide, is that each boss you use with Yojimbo has some sort of Zanmoto resistence, so that's probably why it appears the damage is lesser. Yorisotta sugi shi hi wa
Itami wo yorokobi ai
Ryoute ni utsushi dasu
Anata wo omoi naite iru
