Sitting behind his desk Devlin coughed for a moment looking over each of his shoulders before pulling a ashtray from one of his desk drawers and adding a cigarette to the list of things he was enjoying before class started. He was also listening to a little bit of music though only a very select few at the school could understand it and even he had a hard time at times considering it was sung not in his mother tongue. Crematorium Katmandu Otherwise he sipped on his coffee and absentmindedly puffed at his menthol cigarette listening to music and looking after his shares and stocks over the internet. His attire and overall appearance wasn't that of what one would expect of an economics professor. A black eyepatch covered his left eye and in his left hand was only a nub of a wrist covered by the cuff of his uniform tunic. the uniform itself was speckled slightly with blotching camouflage and looked like it had actually seen combat with little tell tail nicks and tears.

Danny Yahya Danny was walking down the hallway, his bag in hand and his tie straight, as usual. He smiled a bit as he started humming the digivolution theme since he had been watching the Japanese version of Digimon the last few days for fun. He stretched a bit and entered the Economics classroom, noticing the teacher at the desk already, drinking his coffee, his eyes wandered throughout the room and taking in every last detail with his infallible memory before sitting in the front row of the classroom and taking out his notebook and pencils, humming the entire time. After pulling out all the necessary items, he looked at the teacher to wait for his instruction, still humming.

Nodding after a moment Devlin crushed his cigarette out and sat up in his chair turning his radio off as well. He sighed for a moment and looked at his new student and looked down at his list of names "1." he said holding up a gloved finger of his right hand. He nodded after a moment and went silent again waiting for the rest of the class pulling out a photo he looked at for a moment and then sat down on the desk

 Asteria Menae Achelois
Asteria’s nose wrinkled in distaste as the scent of cigarette smoke reached her keen sense of smell. It was masked only lightly by the scent of mint “Eh? Its coming from the economics classroom” She sighed because now she had to sit in that very classroom and endure the smell for a while longer “There is no helping it” She muttered entering the classroom with her usual smile in place. Others had already started to gather inside the room and she glanced around at each face only slightly nervous. Her ears picked up the sound of humming and she quickly found the source. A brown haired boy who sat in the front row, ready and awaiting the teachers instructions. Asteria sat at the very end of the front row and pulled out some books and a pen. She sat up straight and smiled despite the smell.

Nodding after a moment,Devlin sighed and stood up. He could sense the distaste for cigarette smoke or anything related to it coming off of the raven haired girl who sat down next to the first student to arrive. Shaking his head he walked to the front of the classroom and cleared his throat "Alright very good lets start with introductions class." he said in a wheezy yet authoritative voice. taking a bit of chalk from th board he walked over to it and spelled out his name "I am Devlin Graham, but for now you can call me Mr. Graham." He said after a moment and then turned around to look at them "And you are?" he asked while reading there names in his attendance book he held in his right hand casually letting his left arm to hang slack as he lacked his prosthetic left one today.

Danny Yahya Danny, having also an advanced sense of smell, could smell the cigarette smoke also, but ignored it entirely. He blinked lightly at when the teacher looked at a sheet of paper and then stated the number one to him, guessing it meant that he was the first one here. Danny turned his head at the sound of someone sitting down at the end of the first row, seeing the girl he smiled lightly, and stopped humming, and examined her features, he of course could smell her scent, she smelled like a dragon, and fire. He figured she must have been a dragon, since this kind of scent that was this strong could only come from a dragon. Danny's own scent smelled of bananas and machinery, since it had been for him already 800 years since he had come to this planet, he smelled pretty much like any other human. "Hello, I'm Danny, and I'm an alien." He said as he stood up with a kind smile and a wave of his hand.

Asteria's eyes widened in interest and before she could stop herself she muttered outloud "An alian?! There really is a large array of species here" she covered her mouth and laughed nervously before standing up "My name is Asteria. And I am a dragon....rawr?" for some reason her saying she was a dragon did not sound as cool as the guy who said he was an alian....so the rawr part had slipped out to. ..Liven up her introduction? "Eh...that is all..." she added sitting down once again

He sighed and put his hand to his face after setting down the attendance list " Oh I'm getting to old for this s**t." he muttered to himself but couldn't help but laugh at the introductions. "Well bloody hell you both have me at a disadvantage one eye one hand and squishy being a human great for taking my balls away from me." he let the joke slip forgetting for a moment he was with his students. "Anyways." he said after shaking himself back into teacher mode "What is an economy tell me? what is part of the economy?"

Danny Yahya Danny rose his hand, "First, I'm 917 years old, so I don't think your that old, and two money and products and the flow of currency are parts of economy." He said to the teacher right after raising his hand. It was a fact that he was 917 years old, and he hardly ever is sarcastic, but for a 917 year old, he looked barely over 17 years old.

He nodded "Very good Dan, I hope you would also be privy to the information that also the economy depends on the wages paid out to workers as well with no one working products do not get manufactured and therefore nothing to buy so an economy is also heavily dependent upon worker morale." He said after a moment.

As the lesson got started, Asteira began to scribble down notes before mumbling out an answer or what appeared to be an answer “Economy is the system of production, distribution and consumption of goods and services. Economic analyse is throughout society in business, finance and government. But it is also involved in other areas such as Education, religion, war and science” She finished writing and smiled up at the teacher “My brother taught me that…or tried to I am surprised it stuck actually”

Danny Yahya "I see, then I'll keep it in mind then." Danny replied to both to the teacher and to Asteria, though he was looking at Asteria when he spoke. He didn't write any of it down though, thanks to his infallible memory, he could remember it no matter what, so he wouldn't need things like notes, though he did sometimes write down thoughts. Danny smiled lightly at Asteria before looking at the teacher again, "But the economy is different depending on the country you go to, or in my case, the time period. Like how salt was called the white gold a short while after being discovered." He added on to both the teacher's and Asteria's explanations.

Nodding he began to walk around the classroom talking "Yes very good answers the both of you." he said pausing for a moment as he walked. getting to the back of the classroom he turned to them as they sat at the front. "But we must also think of the taxes of a nation and the tariffs on trade in this class as well." Frowning for a moment he walked some more coming to the left of the class. "Now Dan your right an economy also depends on the country as well case and point The U.S.S.R and the U.S.A from the period of 1949 to 1989." he said for a moment and finished walking back to his desk. "The difference between free trade and state controlled means of production." he said "Or to be simply put the never ending rivalry between communism and capitalism." he finished. Sitting back down he smiled crookedly and readjusted his eyepatch with his right hand. "And let me tell you i have lived under both systems they have their pro's and their cons just like everywhere else."

Asteria was once again writing down notes while nodding in agreement to what Dan and Mr. Graham were saying “Pros and Cons” She whispered underlining that particular part of her notes “Everything has pros and cons no matter what they are for…right?” She said with half a smile while bringing her pen to her lips in mild thought.
