Scytheress the Fantastic Scytheress was better prepared to officiate this match. She strode to the center of the dirt field fully clothed. Her black ensemble clashed with the landscape and made her easily stand out, which was fine by her. The fox-elf glanced around for the combatants. When she saw none immediately, she stretched her arms over her head and yawned. Dressed and present before the start time, yes, awake and alert, not a chance. In fact she was nursing a rather brutal hangover. As her limbs lowered, she rubbed her forehead trying to subdue the pain that radiated from her abused and dehydrated brain.
The referee looked around again and this time caught a glimpse of two figures approaching. She spotted them just before the crowd did and the masses erupted in a roar of applause. At the sound, Scythe visible recoiled and her hands shot up to try and cover her furred ears. She could feel her veins thumping in her skull in anger. When she realized the cacophony wasn't going to die down, Scy relinquished her head and took a deep breath. "Welcome to the tournament match between Lillie and Sakura... the two of you can have at it whenever your ready. I'm going to get a cup of coffee...." The woman's voice boomed through the air though she quieted the last bit. Commencement taken care of, the fox turned and began searching for a coffee stand.

Lillie stepped out on the battlefield waving her hand as a greeting to the crowd around her. She was dressed in a different outfit than her normal school outfit or her any cheer uniforms. This outfit was greens and browns. More closely related to her traditional clothing. She had a pouch to one side where the bottles of potions and herbs she would use during the battle. Her weapon was a small cutting knife strapped to her thigh and a bow with a quiver of arrows on her back. She was ready.

Nico walked into the seats as he sat down and sighed, "Man...that cat-girl was a pain in the a**..." He muttered as he looked at his cast that was on his leg. Looks like he'll have to rely on full psychic powers on the next round....that is, if they deemed that he was good to go to the second round.

Sakura walked in . Her clothing were shorts and a shirt. They were blue. They were easy to move in. She tied her hair and arranged her items. She has a bow and arrows, a sword, a pale of bucket, and a dagger. She looked at the crowd. Her ears twitched. She then waved gently.

Scytheress leaned heavily on the cart peddling refreshments. The man passed her a hot cup of black coffee which the fox-elf gingerly sipped at before wrapping both hands around the container. She nodded to the man in thanks and then slowly made her way back for the arena. Her head pounded like crazy and with each burst of sound it felt like her brain rattled. It took her a moment to realize the noise was confused mutterings rather than roaring cheers. Sure enough the stands were full of lack-luster participation and blank stares. As Scythe passed the stands and saw the combatants again, she finally understood why.
They weren't doing anything!
Scytheress rubbed her eyes with one hand and then took another sip of the scalding liquid. "Ah, f*ck, hot." She let her tongue hang out of her mouth as she did a little dance from the pain. She rubbed her burnt tongue with two of her fingers before noticing that the closest onlookers were staring straight at her. "Ah f*ck off, ey?" She was not in the mood to deal with idiots today. The woman stepped up to the clearing again and looked at Sakura and Lillie. "Fight! C'mon we don't have all day!"

Lillie raised an eyebrow. Wondering what was up with the bucket. She knew those kinds of things held water. She would have to be careful. She could to something with a potion and the water touching her or her opponent. She rose her bow up with an arrow placed beside its frame. She then pulled it up and aimed at Sakura before releasing it.
