It was another bright and hazy morning for Nailah as she padded through the temple's hallways, reporting for another day of her nanny duties. She'd been a nanny for almost a month, and she had loved every minutes of it. Her job wasn't hard either; she was like a cub herself, playing with and taking care of the young cubs. Thankfully her younger brothers and sisters had been great practice for her, and best of all, it didn't feel like a job.

She entered one of the many chambers in the temple, ready to care for the cubs while their parents were away.

Msrah was positively bouncing with energy today and he had already started to wear out some of the older nannies with his questions. Oh, he wanted to do something fun today, but he wasn't sure what exactly. Only, it had to be fun, and not boring. And fun. He was boooored! There was another nanny now, perhaps she had something fun planned for the day. He bounded up to her with hight hopes. She was one of the young funny ones!

"Morning nanny Naliah," he said in his brightest and sunniest voice, "Are we doing anything fun today? Are we? Can we go out and play? Can we, pleeeease?"

Unlike her brother, Rashida was busy pawing at his tail to notice that their nanny for the day came in. Of course, even after he said something, her interests were still more on his tail. Though she looked up and rolled on her back, letting her paws dangle in the air towards her chest. "Hello!" She said before going back to trying to attack her brother. This time she'd get him while she was upside down.

Rashida wasn't much for talking when her mind was on attacking something, or someone. Though, her mind changed quickly. As soon as her brother asked to play out side of the temple, she rolled back to her feet. "Yes! Can we?" She asked with trying to look as sad as possible. She didn't know why, but this sometimes helped get what she wanted. Not that it mattered why, just that it gave results, and she'd continue to use it until it failed her more then once in one sitting. "Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease?" She said not letting herself catch a breath before each please that passed through her mouth. It was almost like she said it all as if it was one word, and was always to be one word.

Nailah smiled at the two cubs, "Morning you two!" As much as she loved her job and cubs, she still had to be authoritative, because it was up to her the cubs be safe. "Well..." she said, looking at Msrah and Rashida, noticing that the little lioness was using her little sadface to get what she wanted (and of course, Nailah could barely resist), "You must promise that won't go too far." she said, using her no-nonsense voice as best she could.

"Then we can go out, alright?" she concluded, looking at both cubs.

Msrah's tail twitched this way and that as Rashida batted at it, unfortunately making it an even more tempting target with the erratic movement. But he didn't have to pounce to make her stop today, since she apparently found his randomly blurted idea worthy of her best efforts. His sister was good at making adults do what she wanted. Aaaand... Success! He glossed over the part about not going to far, but nodded eagerly all the same. When nannies used that voice you were supposed to.

"We're going out," he said excitedly, and started to bounce where he stood, "Going out, going out, going out!"

She nodded at her excitingly. "I PROMISE!" She yelled happily. Oh the adventures her and her brother could have! Of course, it would have been more fun if more of her siblings were with them, but a nanny can only take so much at once, she supposed. Rashida loved it when her faces worked to her liking. She smiled at Nailah and Msrah. She was the best at that. Her smile was smug and proud at her efforts to make things go her way.

That was one reason most her siblings liked her around. Her tail flicked "Where out side will we be going?" She asked innocently. Depending on where, depended on how much adventuring she could do.

Always giving cubs the benefit of the doubt, Nailah smiled at them, leading them the way through the temple. "Hmm..." the nanny thought for a moment, "We can go anywhere you guys would like, but..." she said, adding a bit more force in her voice, "We can't go anywhere that is forbidden or too far okay?"

Rashida, the little female cub was too adorable for words. But, she would have to continue to be professional. Maybe later when she was off duty she could sneak in a small nuzzle or something. And Mrsah was growing up to be a strong boy. Which was always good. Perhaps he wanted to be a guard like other boys his age.

Upon reaching the temple steps, she looked at the two younglings, "So where would you like to go?"

Where would he like to go? Msrah's head almost exploded from all the things he could answer to that and he had a hard time deciding just one thing. He nearly said "to see the priests" or "to see a shrine" but stopped himself in time. Dad could take him there anytime, or he could go on his own, and he wanted to go somewhere new and exciting. And outside the temple.

"Can we go somewhere outside," he asked, "The ruins?"

He knew he was pushing it. Cubs weren't allowed to go there alone, but with a chaperone he could finally see what the fuss was about. One of his playmates had told the most fantastic stories about the temple and Msrah wanted to see for himself if he had told the truth. Besides, it was utterly unfair that another cub had visited the ruins when he hadn't. It didn't occur to him that his friend might never had seen the temple either, and had just made everything up.

( My apologizes )

Rashida knew she did a good job with begging adults to do as she pleased. She smiled up proud of herself before looking at her brother again. He seemed super excited, she wanted to go where ever he wanted to go. "Yes! The Ruins!" she added for a second vote in case it was needed. Who knew if that'd actually work? "Mommy told me they had pretty pictures of old things on them!" Rashida had never actually seen them herself, but she was super excited to see them. Maybe she could find one of lions or those strange things that stand on two legs instead of four that weren't birds.
