Opinions?

I am happy and sad now.

Happy because I can say p***s whenever I want.

But I am sad because now it'll be no fun trying to find ways around the filter like we all loved to do! gonk

I honestly don't really care.....
I never had a problem with the filter, except that it blocked websites
like Zybez and the like but that hasn't changed, YET.
So meh.
I'll probably turn it off just cause.

I wonder how this is going to effect reporting people now.
If someone calls you a mother ******** a*****e is jagex
going to tell you to turn your filter back on or are they going
to do something about it? If your filter had been on you wouldn't
have seen what they said and you'd have no reason to report
them.

^ I agree with Cocoa.

On another note - swearing in the clan chat is okay - I'll let it go for the first week... as much as you want, go for it since it's new.

But after that week, get a few more descriptive words. F-bombs grate my nerves badly.

I really gotta get around to counting how many times they say F00K in District 9. Might give Scarface a run for its money, rofl.

Drinking game, anyone?

............. I don't even know what to say...... I'm literally lost for words. But at the same time.... there is so much i could....... ugh! The pain! gonk

Edit: No wait... i have more to say. Finally when someone can't lay any damage on me i can say: "This bag of b***h can't hit me for ********' anything."

And even though I'm kind of past taking everyone into into argument when they say something i don't agree with, but.... *sigh* coco.....
I see what you mean but..... What are you trying to say? That you (in retrospect i decided to edit what i said here out) reporting people?

I don't necessarily find joy in reporting someone, but if someone calls me
a ******** whore for not giving them my money then yes, I would report them.

Oh i see. Were you little feelings hurt? If that's the case then this is where the joy of choice comes in. Just keep the filter on and if he calls you some kind of p***s receiving prostitute, then you can remain in blissful ignorance. What i hope doesn't happen is if people turn the filter off and the people who are gonna speak freely, thinking that the average runescape player who doesn't want to see "bad words" has enough of a ********' brain stem left to keep their filters on. Then it turns out they don't and they see someone say "So all of a sudden i find myself with this video of a horse getting ******** in the a** by an elephant and c** starts cumming out its nose, right?" And all of a sudden their banned. And if they were p2p then jagex gets less money now because of some a*****e.

Come to think of it. I shouldn't have edited what i wrote before. Gaia has a filter too. And that's all I'm gonna say, because if i continue then its gonna end up with someone getting compared to Hitler.

I'm simply glad I can use the word 'gay' without having to add extra letters, symbols, numbers, and all other kinds of silliness.

^ This is what the ability to turn off the profanity filter was meant for. Simple things, such as being able to say gay, a*****e, or hey - even nazi.

I don't want to be the bad guy here, but if you want me to be, I certainly will fulfill that role.

As a member of GaiaOnline (and Runescape), you have to be age 13 or older. That's old enough to understand the Terms of Service you agreed to when you signed up - on both sites. Two of their prohibited conducts on GaiaOnline:
" "stalk", harass, threaten, or defraud other Gaia Members; send, post, or make available pornographic, threatening, embarrassing, hateful, racially or ethnically insulting, deceptive, tortious, defamatory, libelous, or otherwise inappropriate or offensive content to other Gaia Members. "

On Runescape, the Rules of Conduct have this in them under the header "Respect."
" Players and Jagex staff are entitled to the respect of the other members of the player community. With this in mind, the following behaviour is deemed unacceptable: Discrimination of any kind, whether based on another person's race, nationality, gender, sexual orientation or religious beliefs
* Solicitation
* Threatening another person, or bullying of any kind
* Using obscene or inappropriate language

* Spamming, or disruptive behaviour
* Misuse of the forums"

Bolded the important bits.

I'm all for freedom of speech, but we should all be friends - or act as friends - towards each other in the clan chat. We were able to function without abusive language towards each other prior to this release. I expect we can still do it now.

You act like we'll turn into raging lunatics now that we've got a little leesh. It's not about abusing each other etc. It's being able to say " I'm so pissed right now" or "for ******** sake" *insert anger at the game* without getting in trouble.

I highly doubt the first thing that came to any guildies minds was "oooo I can abuse people now >D" :/

Agreed, because we did it before the filter got taken down anyway.

It's been a long time since I've actually cussed a guild member out.
Most of the time when you see stars pop up next to my name, it's because
Jagex put me in a bullshit dungeon, or my internet dropped out. I don't
think we're going to have a problem with people calling each other
nasty names. At least in the sense that they actually mean it.
