No, but I'd choose words carefully.

I don't need a special occasion to lie. But the answer would be yes. If I gauge the positives and negatives of said lie, and I find more outcomes to be positive, I do lie.
It's mostly to keep situations civil.

Depends on the kind of lie.
If it's a little white lie, then sure, yeah.
If I'm lying about something really major and important, then I don't know. Maybe not.

It depends on what you mean by protection.
What you think is right isn't necessarily what's right.

by protection I mean, if you and your family were being held at gunpoint, and you had to choices, tell the truth to protect yourself, or tell a lie to protect your family.
and I dont mean your bloodline family, I mean a family that you started. with your wife.

Depending what you say, would you lie at the cost of your family's lives, or tell the truth at the expense of your own
(god forbid that this should actually happen to anyone, but this question popped up in my sleep on night, and so I wanted to get people's opinions.

Family means ******** to me, so the answer is still obvious. If it were someone I really cared about, though, I'd tell the truth, but for an entirely selfish reason. To me, it's not a matter of who lives and who dies, but who has to suffer from living without the other. Death is freedom. Death is mercy. And when living involves losing a friend, the choice is once again obvious.
Of course, the other person most likely wouldn't think of it that way, so I guess it's a win-win: I don't have to suffer like that, and they're glad they didn't die rather than upset that they're stuck with the emotions.

In that case, I'd definitely tell the truth.
My brothers are better people than I am.

Usual mis direction works better that a lie.
There are no limit to the lengths to which I will go to protect those I love
