Rosciel:
Rosc walked down the Demon hallways, heading back to his room. He had ear-buds on, surprisingly listening to a book on tape. He did that every so often, usually picking out ones that his mother had put in his library for when he got older. He'd bought a few of them after the trip to the house for Christmas and this was the first.

Hands in his pockets, he turned a corner, not knowing the new hall he'd be walking down was occupied.

Sin:
Sin wasn't used to feeling embarrassed, but that was pretty much what she felt now. Her cheeks were flushed and she felt mortified, foolish, oh what compelled her to do certain things? Well that was easy, she had promised Riley to have her back and she was afraid that Riley would go ballistic and eat their brains for their little intervention. Still...that had been rash of her, and she was always so proud of making cool assessments. Well she supposed it was just her passions getting the best of her. Still she felt...odd...wound tight now and tense. She swore she was going to grab the next boil who walked passed and kiss him senseless. Just to prove that she was still in control of...everything.

Either good fortune or bad had fallen on Rosc that day because as Sin turned the corner to head to her suite, he was the first boil she bumped into. She quite literally bumped into him, having been very distracted. She grabbed the front of his coat to keep herself from falling back and then pushed herself forward and kissed him.

Rosciel:
If Rosc had eyes, they would have been as wide as dinner plates when he was suddenly grabbed by his coat and lips were slammed onto his. There was no mistaking Sin and unless she had a twin sister, the ghoul who had insinuated he wasn't a demon, who had invited him to her party, who'd gotten mad at him in Music Class, who'd dashed away before he could finish with his apology, who'd shown surprising dance moves, that ghoul was kissing him. And for no reason that he could fathom!

Suspicious as he usually was, this was too good a gift horse to look in the mouth, so as soon as the shock was gone, one hand reached up to weave into her hair as he kissed her back, the other hand lightly taking a hold of her waist.

Sin:
Sin's eyes closed as she felt the heat in her cheeks spread, wow this boil was a good kisser...a great kisser...and what a bod-her eyes opened. Oh sweet love of Jack! It was Rosc! She slowly broke the kiss and looked at him stunned for a moment before blushing furiously, her skin turning an odd merlot wine shade. "Oh....Rosc...I-I'm so sorry...I just..." What? Well Sin, how were you supposed to explain this one? Blame the sugar high, whispered the cowardly voice in the back of her head.

"I was...I...tripped..." Yeah right, I tripped and fell on your lips and oh sorry did my tongue happen to slide out too? Must have been the force of the impact! Pshh, like this guy didn't have enough reasons to dislike her?

Rosciel:
One eyebrow rose slightly. Well, that was one of several reactions he hadn't really considered getting. But, then again, she was the one who kissed him, so anger really wouldn't have been a viable option.
"Sorry isn't really what I was expecting," Rosc replied, hands still in her hair and on her side. He didn't see any reason to drop them just yet.

"That was the most convenient trip I've ever seen, I'd hate for you to knock me down, we'd probably give the neighbors something to talk about." Oh for the love of... He mentally whapped himself over the head and rubbed the back of her neck a bit with one finger.

"Not that I'm complaining, but what in Jack's name was that about?"

Sin:
"Oh jack...Arachne, I'm sorry...I didn't mean...I was just..." She took a deep breath not quite registering yet that he was still holding her. "I know this is gonna sound crazy...but...I was just at Riley's and...there was a lot of sugar." Her eyes widened as her brain finally caught up with what he's said abut knocking him down.

"No I-I'm sorry Rosc, I just was being very foolish and I...obviously continue on that trend. I just thought if I could kiss the next boil that came along I could prove that...." Except she couldn't explain, not to him. She knew exactly what she wanted right now, more then a hot bath, more then the ground to open and swallow her up, she wanted to talk to her Raven. Maybe she could explain it to him, he would understand, and he wouldn't think she was crazy...or if he did it wouldn't show in his eyes. Then again Rosc didn't have eyes so he wouldn't look at her like she was crazy either, but some of his expressions told volumes. "I'm sorry, I'll hae to apologize to Arachne too won't ?"

Rosciel:
"Arachne? Why would you-" Oh, Jack. Did she think he and Arachne... See! He knew escorting her to the demon party was a bad idea. Things like that started rumors. Rumors he certainly didn't need. His head shook once.

"Arachne and I are not a thing. She asked me to walk her into the party, that's it," Rosc explained, smirking slightly.
"I don't even think she likes me much. Didn't really give her a reason to." Of course, he never gave anyone a reason to like him, well no one besides his pets. Not really. Nic didn't like him. Rosanna probably only did because he was a charity case and the only little baby she had the chance to mother. And Akariel? Well, he was just messed up.

Sin:
"Your not? Oh...well you two look good together...but hey that's great it means I didn't just make an even worse fool of myself then I had thought." She let out a half laugh and then looked down at his hand on her waist and back up at him. "I'm surprised...that you don't have a ghoulfriend I mean...you can be nice when your not snapping." She smirked and then cleared her throat. "Uhh...I don't think I'm gonna fall now..."

Rosciel:
Rosc merely shrugged. He didn't really think Arachne was his type, but then he didn't really have a type. He would have been happy to live his life out by himself. Alone. Pity the universe or whatever it was thought he'd be better off otherwise.
"For the record, I didn't think you were foolish," he replied and reluctantly slipped his hands away. His headphones had fallen out at some point during the minor make-out session, so he turned the eyePod off and stuffed them into his pocket.

"And what about you, Sin? Do you not have a boilfriend who would be furious if he found out you kissed another guy?"

Sin:
"Thanks...I guess I just felt like...I needed to take control of a moment. It sounds stupid now, but hey what a moment..." She laughed and then stepped back and crossed her arms. Rosc's next question made her smirk and shake her head, the smirk was to hide the...loneliness. Popular Sin Err pining because she didn't have a boilfriend? That sounded pathetic even in her head, let alone out loud.

"No...no lots of really cute boils, but no special someone...well...not here anyway." She thought of her mysterious Raven and felt a pang of foolishness. Was she really just waiting to see if some dark handsome stranger was going to appear someday? Her only real honest relationship was via eee!mails with someone she didn't even know, wow that WAS pathetic.

Rosciel:
Rosc smirked at what he took as a compliment. There was nothing wrong with her wanting to take control of a moment, though in the future he hoped he'd have a bit more warning. If it had been anything but a kiss, and only that because it was so obvious, he might have... Taken her as a threat and tried to defend himself. And he didn't want to hurt anyone for no reason, much less Sin.

Something inside him tensed when she answered his boilfriend question and his eyebrows dipped down into a confused frown.
"Not here?" he asked, wondering how she would respond.

Sin:
"Uh no...he goes to a different school...I, I know I should probably just find someone here to date but...I miss him. He always makes me feel better, he's a good listener. Silly huh?" She shrugged and sighed slowly pushing back a strand of hair. "As many cute boils as there are here...none of them compare, he's just a complete demonic knockout. Black hair, tall, dark eyes, and a better dancer then you...which is incredibly difficult to believe since your pretty amazing." She laughed and then shook her head. "I'm sorry I'm rambling on about a guy and you probably have somewhere to be...where you won't be randomly accosted."

Rosciel:
In his pocket, Rosc's nails dug painfully into the palm of his hand. Any harder and he might have drawn blood.
"He sounds like a great guy," he replied, keeping his tone neutral. He even managed to return the smirk to his face.
"But I highly doubt he's a better dancer than I am," he added, turning his head in an obvious glance down the hallway.

"Not really. Just heading back to my room."

Sin:
"Yeah I guess your right. " She laughed and nodded a bit with a wry smile. "You have no rivals on the dance floor, but he's still pretty amazing." She glanced over his shoulder and pointed down the hall. "Your room is that way? Wow I never realized you were so close, I'm suit 999. You should bring Ripley over sometime for a little minipet playdate."

Rosciel:
Pretty amazing. Sure this guy was. With all his black hair and dark eyes. He... actually felt sorry for Sin. Pining after a guy she'd probably never see again. He could feel it, too, with her closeness and this mystery guy on her mind. She really had a thing for him.

Rosc turned his head back to face her.
"Oh, yeah, I guess. She might like that," he replied, his thoughts elsewhere now.

Sin:
"Yeah I have a foxsquirrel too, poor thing never gets out it'd probably love to play with Ripley. Well...sorry again, I'd better go I need something to drink my mouth tastes all sugary." She licked her lips and gave him a quick half wave flicking her hair back and continuing down the hall. Yeah...she needed to talk to her...type to her Raven. Maybe it was time for them both to let go of these eee!mails and just focus on their own schools and the boils and ghouls that were there. Except the thought of letting go terrified Sin too much for her to actually bring it up...so she didn't.

Rosciel:
Rosc watched Sin flee down the hall before he turned and continued on his way. He really needed to stop this, it was getting out of hand. But what could he really do? Of all the schools he and Nic had considered, this one had been his choice. He thought, at the very least, things would be better at the Academy than the other schools they had looked at. But in reality it was just as complicated, if not more so.

He stepped into his room, his kitten Thistle jumping off his bed to greet him as he all but slammed the door behind him.
