Oak signifies wisdom, endurance, protection, and authority. Unicorn's tail hair core means that you are pure of heart and care deeply for your loved ones.
Wand Hand: Right
Personality: Teagan is the soft spoken eldest child of an Irish man and an Indian woman. She is shy and avoids situations in which she'll have to say a lot. She is a follower, not a leader, and can be quite the pushover. All of this stems from her insecurities with herself - she is not sure who she is or where she is going. Sometimes, she isn't even sure of where she's come from.
She's a very bright girl, hence being sorted into Ravenclaw, and has insightful things to say about almost any topic - even though she never actually says them. She is wise for such a young girl, but she also has the immaturity any eleven year old would. She is almost never bored because she always has something to think about or quietly do on her own.
Likes: Writing letters to home, broccoli & cheese soup, board games

family & history
Dad: William Buckley, 34
Mom: Aryana Buckley, 33
Brother: Michael Buckley, 9
Sister: Mary Buckley, 8
Sister: Puja Buckley, 5
Family Life: Teagan's father is from an old Irish family, her mother a second generation Indian who was born in England. Despite their obvious cultural differences, they had all the things that really mattered in common, and most importantly were crazy about each other. They have been married just shy of twelve years. They live in Ireland. William Buckley works in a business office in (insert Irish suburb here), and Aryana has been working as a nurse for two years. She took off from work for several years to raise her children, but went back when her youngest became old enough for daycare. Aryana has just learned she is expecting another little one, and probably will only be working for a few more months. William's parents live on a long time family farm where they raise sheep and cattle. William's mother spins wool into yarn to sell on the side and to knit. This is where Teagan developed her interest and learned to knit. Aryana's parents live in London.
Teagan is close to her siblings, but closest to Mary. The family has some suspicions that Mary is following along in Teagan's footsteps as far as magic goes, but it's still up in the air. Teagan is a muggleborn witch, but her family is very supportive of her going away to Hogwarts to pursue her magical inclinations. She misses them terribly, though, and writes many letters home and receives many from them.

trunk & classes
Current Classes:
- Herbology: Favorite class! Reminds me of Grandma & Grandpa's farm... without the sheep!
- Charms: I'm loving it! I wonder if there's a charm to spin wool?
- Potions: AKA magical soup making.
- History of Magic: Reading this stupid textbook is taking up time I could be reading a GOOD book.
- Transfiguration: Kind of creepy, but I'm getting the hang of it.
- DADA: Why aren't we learning karate?
Trunk:
- Clothing: The usual; uniforms, pajamas, casual clothes, winter coat, dress robes and one witch hat.
- School supplies: Also generic; parchment, quills & ink, class textbooks, cauldron, phials.
- Books: Two or three fiction books for reading during her down time. When she finishes them she sends them home and is sent new ones.
- Knitting needles & yarn: Her wooden knitting needles from home plus a steady supply of yarn mailed to her from her grandma's sheep.
