It felt like it had been a while since he was brought into the flock. His wings flapped, but in his heart he knew that he wouldn't be able to fly ever again. Naxos looked around at the safe haven where he stayed within the harpies' homeland. His long braided tail swished lightly as he walked around. He noticed a growth in males who had talon like feet instead of hooves like himself. He knew that if he bred with Aldora, there would be some with feet like her own. "Wonder what Aldora must of been up to?" Asking himself then began to graze.

Deciding that it was time to look in on her captive, Aldora made her way over to where the males were kept. She had wanted him to have time to get used to where he would be and such so she hadn't bothered to go see him.. plus she had been very busy with the burst of children being born. Being a nanny was a lot of work, but very rewarding.
Her taloned feet stepped lightly across the ground as she made her way over to him, almost smiling as she saw him. Aldora was still in shock that she, of all harpies, had managed to capture her very own slave who was blessed by the spirits and approved most graciously by her queen. Her pace slowed as she was only a couple feet from him. Eyes looking him over to make sure he was unscathed by any happenings by others. Pleased that he seemed to be in the same condition she had left him, she shook her head, the feathers in her headdress dancing about. "Hello Naxos." she began with a more plain tone in her voice. "I trust you have been fairing decently, no?"

Naxos' ears moved toward the familiar harpy voice. He smiled to see that it was Aldora. His wings fluttered against his sides as he turned to face her. Nodding to her question, "Hello Aldora. I have been well, yes. No problems with the other stallions that are around. Though I had noticed a few of then have talons as well. Are they of harpy decent?" Asking as his braided tail swished.

She nodded in reply to his question, a slightly more perky sound in her tone of voice. "Yes. The Great Spirit has blessed our flock with many new young ones." Aldora paused her a moment, the tone in her voice dimming down a bit. "But sadly many of them have been males and even though we are lucky they look like harpies, they can be nothing more than the same as any other male that we have..." Her ears pinning back "and so we don't have as many females that can carry on our traditions and ways of life."
Yellow, glowing eyes stared at him with a stern look. "When we manage to be blessed with offspring, you best prey to the Great Spirits for females." Her feathered tail squished with agitation at the thought of not being blessed with little girls for the flock, though in her heart she would be ever so grateful for any children she would be blessed with. "I do wish for children soon... I hope you are up to the task of giving them to me." Eyes still on the male, she waited to see how he would react.

Naxos smiled to see her happy then frowned about how there was a shortage of female harpies. His long braided tail swished, "Being blessed with more is better than not having any at all. Am I right, Aldora?" Asking as he moved closer to his captor and ruler. His ears drooped as he felt bad for her clan.
"I'm suppose to do what now?" He was confused as his ears perked back up again. He thought about it then looked serious,"If I was to bare you females, I wouldn't be able to see them again. Would I, Aldora?" Asking as he felt a bit of pain in his heart. He had a feeling that his family would be separated from him.

"I suppose, but when a clan thrives and lives for females such as ours.. that is the more important thing." Her yellow eyes dimming. She lived for her flock, her sisterhood and something so important being ripped from their needs seemed cruel. She began to question the Great Spirit's will for them for just a moment.
A smile couldn't help but creep over the mares face at his confusion. She hated to admit it to herself, but she could tell she would grow very fond of this male. "I wish for children and wish to be blessed with females. I pray the Great Spirit will give them to us." Aldora's heart sank for a moment at his inquiry. She felt a sadness for him that she didn't think was possible. "As is the custom for our flock you would not be allowed to be a part of their lives were we to be blessed with daughters. However, I am a nanny to the foals so it would be a possibility that you would at least see them from time to time." She said that, planting a small seed of hope for him. Even though he was male he was no where near as horrible as they seemed to be in her mind before.
The Harpy's heart and mind were beginning to feel very confused. Things she was starting to think and feel were unnatural for her kind...

Naxos nodded as she spoke about their clan. "You do have a point there, Aldora. I pray to the Great Spirit that she will bare us at least one female." He spoke as his winds were spread out. He looked up to the sky, but never really thought of there being a spirit that gave or took away what the harpies needed.
His ears drooped at her word of not being able to see them if they were of the female harpy. He sighed a little as his wings drooped at his sides. "For the good of the flock, right?" He spoke sadly as he looked at her. His ears twitched at the word 'nanny', he felt hope in his heart as his tail swished lightly. He smiled ,"You'd really do that for me?" He asked as his heart thumped a bit faster.
He was growing to like the harpy more and more each day.

A brow quirked at Naxos as he mentioned 'at least one'. His comment did not thrill her whatsoever because she wanted to be blessed and bless her flock with more than just one daughter. 'Males are truly incompetent.' she thought to herself. A heavy sigh came out as she felt a disappointing nagging at her stomach. Though she truly would be happy with just having children of her own, she did not want to be a disappointment. Her shoulder muscles twitched in annoyance as she let the feelings fester and she turned her face from him.
Aldora turned about, her back to Naxos now. She just wanted to get out of this area and off the subject that was now depressing her... though the thoughts in her mind were now straying to things such as never being blessed with children at all and such. Aldora decided against answering the stallions questions because now she was finding him slightly irritating. She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath.
"Are you coming or what?" she said with one of those tones that just radiates a bad mood being present. Her tail swished madly as well as her muscles twitching once more. Clawed feet started forward, away from the males safe-zone, expecting to hear his hooves following her as she walked away.

Ears pinned back at the heavy sigh the harpy had given. He felt confused as his tail swished. He blinked then figured out that more females would greatly please his master.
Naxos nodded as his ears perked back up. "Coming Aldora..." He spoke calmly as he followed by her side as he looked back at the safe haven. A shiver went down his spine as a cold breeze picked. "Aldora..."

Muscles still twitched in irritation as she continued forward now that she knew her male was following her. Shaking this feeling of annoyance with the stallion could be a difficult task since it was on such a sensitive matter so close to her heart.
Her ears twitched as he called her name, dreading what in the world he could possibly have to say now. Refusing to look back at him she said in a painfully obvious annoyed tone "What slave?" Not bothering to stop to chit-chat she just continued on knowing that he would follow.
She just needed a break from the nesting area... and the pains of taking care of others' children and not her own for a small while.

"I want to apologize for what I had said, Master. I didn't mean to make the topic any more personal or hurtful than it should of been." Naxos spoke as his ears were pinned back. He didn't want to see her up set as he followed close by to her. His long braided tail swished as he looked down at the ground.
Noticing that is had slowly become darker and darker. The sun was setting slowly, but faster than expected from the silence.

Aldora's laid flat against her feathers in her headdress as he spoke to her, apologizing. Her brows furrowed and she frowned as he spoke, but in a way she was glad he could not see her face at the moment. Letting out a huff and finally giving up on the feelings that bothered her to even be feeling she spoke quietly to him. "Please do not speak of such things anymore. You still have much to learn and are in no place to feel the right to speak on them."
Her tail flicked side to side as they continued further on through the woods in the oncoming darkness. "Though I do forgive you... but do not let any others know this. Understand?" Her stern tone of voice was met with a stern stare as she turned her head to look at him as she paused in her walk.
Glowing yellow eyes darted from him as she heard small creatures rustling throughout the leaves. Her attention now completely off the stallion and focused on finding the origin of the noises.

Naxos nodded as he felt out of line with his master. He looked up to the sky to see the stars start to show. "Night is here...." He spoke softly as he smiled softly. He was praying that he bare at least one daughter this time around for Aldora. He knew that more female offspring would make her look better than those who have not had any.
Nodding his head, "I promise not to speak of anything, aldora." He spoke truthfully. He noticed her stop, looking around to see what could be around. He blinked, looking for what had made that rustle.

Aldora didn't even hear the stallion's words now. Her attention was now completely on trying to find out what was making the noise, happy for the distraction. Her ears perked, twisted, turned, and tried to find the area from which the sound was coming from. There! Her head quickly turned to the direction of the rustling leaves.
Ears stayed pinned back as she started towards the sounds. Clawed feet tread softly and surely across the grounds, barely making a sound even when stepping on small twigs and sticks. In this moment she actually forgot the Naxos was even around and therefore didn't think to tell him to stay back.

Naxos stood where he was standing, watching Aldora from his place. He was curious of what the sound was, but didn't want to anger the harpy any more than he already had. His ears followed the sounds in the bushes.
