This game is similar to the two word sentence game. The first person starts out the story with a regular sentence. The next person begin their sentence with "Fortunately . . . " The next person begins their sentence with "Unfortunately . . ." The next person begins their sentence with "Fortunately . . ." So on and so forth.

Once upon a time in a kingdom far far away there lived a tiny dog.

Fortunately this was a fairy dog with a special magic to protect itself.

Unfortunately, the dog's magic only worked when he licked a cat's ear.

Fortunatly, there was a cat nearby.

Unfortunately, it was loose and fell off his collar.

Fortunately, I was wise enough to keep a hidden stash of cat's ear charms.

Unfortunately there was an ice demon that liked to eat dogs after this fairy dog.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 13, 2011 5:50 pm

Fortunately, the dog did not believe in demons, and the demons were powerless unless their victims believed in them, meaning that this demon was completely powerless against the dog, who was such an unbeliever that he could not even see or hear the demon to believe.

Unfortunately there was a fallen angel that wanted to help the demon.
PostPosted: Tue Feb 15, 2011 4:13 pm

Fortunately, the dog had no religion that allowed him to submit to the fallen angel's power-because he had no religion, and therefore didn't beleve in angels either, let alone fallen ones.

Unfortunately, the deity of a nearby temple liked having atheists around as target practice.
PostPosted: Wed Feb 16, 2011 9:30 pm

Fortunately the dog happened to be a dog, not a human being, and therefore was not required to have any religion, or classifyable into a religion -including atheism. He wasn't an atheist. He just happened to be---a dog.

Unfortunately, this dog was unable to be just a normal dog because it was on a mission.
