The days were getting colder and colder, while Emille's attitude just kept declining. She prodded through the fallen leaves and first signs of winter as she tried her best not to collapse under the extra weight she was carrying, both physically and emotionally.
She eventually approached a source of water and took a drink. Looking at her pregnant underbelly... She wondered how she let that happen. Emille would now be a single mother... With how many kids, she didn't know. She let out a sigh. "I really don't know how I'm going to do this alone..."
Eventually, she just gave up and sat herself down by the edge of the water. She munched on the patches of grass around her because she knew her kids needed the nutrients and drank water in between. While doing all of that, she stared into space, in somewhat of a trance.
Emille felt... Empty... Lost... and confused.

It was this same section of lake where the fluttercorn made her way. She liked this part of the lake, there were large stones, so if something threatening came around she could shrink herself down in size and hide easily. Other parts of the river weren't so protective, at least not for her.
It was as she stepped out from the woods she spied the other mare. Deciding to speak up, an announce her presence, she spoke up softly. "Good day. I hope you do not mind company."
Silver hooves gently crunched upon leaves, a sure sign of colder weather to come. The colder weather she looked forward to all year, she lived for the cold, crispness, of the pure white blanket that only covered everything in the winter. Really the only downside was when she shrunk down. Snow could easily fall on her, and bury her. Aside from that one possible down fall winter was simply put - perfect.
