It was Frightday and classes were finally ending for the day. As was usual, one little she-wolf was heading back towards her room to gather up her batling, Callix, and hazmutt, Austin. It was time to take them out for a quick walk before the evening fully set in. She had plans tonight. And for once, they didn't involve Ren or Gabrian. Not that LW had problems with doing stuff with her best friend or her boilfriend. She was always ready and willing to hang with them.
But not tonight. Nope. Tonight, she was having a very much needed girls night with Alessa.
It hadn't escaped either of their notices that, they hadn't actually gotten the chance to do such a thing. The boys were always with them. But tonight, the boys were busy doing...whatever it was they did (which the girls were probably better off not knowing). So she and her only ghoul friend had jumped all over this chance to spend some quality time together. Watching movies. Doing girly things. GIRLS NIGHT JACKDAMNIT!
Her walk went quick and surprisingly uneventful and the she-wolf happily bounced back to her room to drop off her pets and grab up some popcorn bags, soda and pajams. This was going to be a pajama night. Checking that she had everything, LW bid her pets farewell for the evening (Billy Bob almost snagged her toe before she jumped away) and hurried out the door. Alessa's room wasn't far from hers and she had no problems weaving around the halls to the nagual's door.
The she-wolf knocked three times, letting her friend know it was her before she slipped in and shut the door behind her. "Hey rabbit! I got popcorn and soda and found a bag of candy before shutting my door. Did I forget anything?"

Alessa had been really looking forward to this night. It wasn't that she didn't adore Ren, or that Gabe wasn't fine (when they weren't fighting), or that all four of them together wasn't a wonderful combination. It was just that she really felt LW and her needed to bond on their own. The boils certainly did it, so why shouldn't they? And with some of the 'adventures' often caused by the boils, they certainly deserved a little night to themselves.
She had moved the skelevision in place before her cozy pink couch when LW slipped in. Alessa was already dressed in a little pink and yellow night gown and she had been sure to shew all her lepuses either out of the room, or into the closet, except for Richard, who was snoozing on her bed. She had decided to let him be, as he'd been rather depressed of late for some reason. She smiled as LW entered, giving the TV cords one last one over before going to meet her.
"I think that's it! Here, let me take some of that," Alessa offered, taking the sodas from the werewolf ghoul, as they were the heaviest. She set them on her desk, which had been cleared off to allow room for them to rest their food, at least when it wasn't in their laps during the movie. Oh!
"Did you bring the movie?" She asked, having almost forgotten. Which was, of course, silly. A movie night wasn't a movie night without a movie.

LW grinned and gave her friend a once over, head tilted slightly. She was wearing a very cute night gown. This, of course, made the she-wolf frown and wonder if maybe she needed to invest in something 'cute' to sleep in. All she ever did was a tank top and short shorts. Apparently sleeping naked was frowned upon in some places. Not that she ever did this often.
Handing the sodas over, she shifted the popcorn bags and candy around. "Thanks!" She shuffled after the rabbit and set the goodies on the desk with the sodas. At Alessa's question, LW froze. Oh Jack! She hadn't grabbed the movie, had she? "Uhh...." OH WAIT! "Yes!" LW reached behind her and grabbed the movie. Since her hands were going to be full carrying the food and drink, she had shoved the movie in the waistband of her shorts.
"Here." Grinning stupidly because she was really overly excited about how this evening would go, LW handed the movie over to Alessa. "Want to put it in now? Or wait and do other stuff first?" Noticing the lepus on Alessa's bed, LW nodded towards him. "We going to have a cute fuzzy little man to keep us ghouls from getting too scared?" She asked, winking at her friend. Speaking of minipets, LW would not be surprised...oh alright she would utterly shocked, if though his mysterious ways Billy Bob some how found his way over here. That damned mimic was unbelievable with what he managed to accomplish sometimes.

Alessa certainly didn't dress the way she did on purpose. Well, not in the sense that some people might think. She wore what she did because it was cute, but not in an attempt to look cute. This was something the boils would probably never understand, as they were more on the receiving end anyway. In the end it came down to comfort; Alessa was comfortable in a light night gown and LW was comfortable it cozy shorts and a large comfy T. That was all that mattered, because tonight was about relaxing. Relaxing through a horror movie...okay she wasn't sure how that worked, but still.
And for a very brief moment Alessa looked worried that there wouldn't be a horror movie after all...but no, LW had stashed it in her shorts! That was certainly new...and almost akin to the antics of the boils. She let out a small sigh of relief, offering a bit of a weak smile, "Well, whatever works I guess!" Yeah, her night gown couldn't do that. Or it could, but she even going to go there.
"Hmm..." She flipped over the back of the box, as if the little summary would help point out a solution. Finding it vague she suggested as she went to put the disk in, "Well, lets at least do our nails first? I can probably braid your hair in the dark...it doesn't take too much light and the skelevision will give some. But spilling nail polish would be messy, especially if we didn't notice we did it because of the dark..."
And Alessa laughed a bit, shaking her head, "Oh I don't know, I think Richard would be the last one to protect us...and he's been a bit down lately. Some cuddles might do him good though." Richard, apparently noticing he was being talked about, twitched a long ear and opened his one eye that wasn't covered in an eye patch. He then said up, ears back, watching them with a mopey look of 'what is going on'.

LW stared at the box as Alessa flipped it over to read the summary. The she-wolf's tail lazily swung back and forth as she crossed her arms and eyed the box. "Yeah...it doesn't say much. But I heard good things about it from my brothers when I called home earlier." Not that this meant anything. But it probably at least guaranteed that it would be scary. Hopefully not too scary though. At least she could stay the night in Alessa's room, should she not wish to go back to her own. Which was probably going to be the case.
"Nails first. That works for me." She beamed at her friend. LW tapped a finger against her arm, a semi-serious look to her. "What colors should we do our nails?" This was totally not a question one would expect to hear from the she-wolf. But hey! She wanted to make her nails look good, ok? Besides, she hardly ever did it. Her brothers would usually laugh. And her sister would glare. Yeah, LW had not painted her nails for a long while now. And she couldn't deny she was excited to do so as well as have some real girl time in the process!
Her tail flicked. "Cuddles, huh?" She glanced towards the lepus. "Well, cuddles are a must now." Giggling, she spotted what looked to be nail polish and prowled towards the bottles. "Oh! This one is pretty." LW held up a deep purple and looked over her shoulder to grin at Alessa.
Tilting her head, a small frown crossed her face. "Now, the boys DID say they would be out for a while, right?" She really didn't want them to come back juuuust yet.

"Your brothers recommended it, did they?" Alessa hmmed as she slid the disk drive shut, flipping on the screen to the skelevision. A little loading icon appeared, showing that the disk was being read. Soon previews for other movies began to run, most of them other sorts of horror films. When she turned away there was one on about sheep eating Halloween Town citizens. "Well, I guess that means it has to be scary then...or at least gorey." She wouldn't have expected a group of boys to consider a horror movie good otherwise. And, well, she and LW had wanted to be a little scared. But that was also why it was a sleepover; good company and food to ease any movie induced fear.
Alessa was surprisingly not a typical nail painter, either. This wasn't because she didn't want to, however. The sad reality was that spending long hours cooking in the kitchen often ruined her nails, so painting them all the time really wasn't worth the effort, no matter how much she liked the look. She was pleased to finally bring out her bottles again for some use! She settled on the floor cross legged, peeking through the colors she had taken out. She finally selected a warm, bright pink. "I'll do yours if you do mine?" She grinned ruefully, "I don't know about you, but I'm not ambidextrous so my other side always looks terrible..."
At LW's question she paused, pursing her lips, then said, "I think so. I didn't tell them what we were doing, though. I didn't want them to be tempted to crash our sleepover. You know they would."
Richard hopped down from the bed, moving sulkily in their direction. He seemed to be peeking at what they were doing, despite his grumpy expression.

Her tail swished and she glanced at Alessa a little nervously, eying the box. "Yes...they did." A small frown appeared. "Which means it is either as good as they say it is or...we are sleeping with a light turned on tonight." Not surprisingly, she was leaning towards the second choice. It would be just like her brothers to recommend a really scary movie. Because that was one of their favorite things to do. Scare their little sister. Although they usually liked doing this in person.
LW gave her friend a quirky grin. "Whatever it is, it should at least be worth it. We either love it or get a good scare out of it."
It was probably a curious thing as to just how LW knew how to paint nails, seeing as she rarely did her own. But she was female and every now and then she liked to make her toes look pretty. Alright, so that might be one of her dirty little secrets, ok? But she could share this one with Alessa!
"Nope! Can't say that I am either." She laughed and sat down in front of the rabbit with her tail curling around behind her, swirling the liquid around in the bottle she held. It really was a pretty dark shade of purple that almost looked red in the right light. "And you got a deal! I'll do your nails and you can do mine!" The she-wolf set down her chosen color and snagged the pink one Alessa was holding. She tilted her head and looked at it. Very fitting of her ghoul friend here. Shaking the bottle a little she carefully opened it and smiled. "Alright rabbit! Gimme a foot. Feet then hands, I think."
"I didn't tell them either. So maybe we are safe then?" And yes. LW had no doubt whatsoever that those two would 'crash' their sleepover. It was too much of a temptation for those boils. "I have to admit, I'm not sure how wise it was to let Ren and Gabrian spend some quality...manry time together." A giggle escaped as her eyes twinkled.
With careful strokes, the she-wolf began to paint Alessa's nails with skill that suggested she was not knew to this. She paused when a soft sound drew her attention and she turned to notice Richard moving closer. Her lips twitched and she glanced at Alessa. "Too bad he's not a female too. We could have painted his nails."

"Well, if it's really bad," Alessa said with a smile, "We can always watch something cute afterward, to clear the air." She was sure she had a good romantic movie or two somewhere. If all else failed, that could help. Maybe. Right now the screen wasn't being very encouraging, as it was flashing with strange, horrific images, just for the display screen.
"That's a really good color, I think it'll suit you," Alessa said with a smile. LW always seemed to do well with purple. Alessa tended to avoid it, since she knew it didn't look terribly good on her, but that was alright. She thought the two of them knew what they looked best in. "I wonder if Gabe will notice," she teased, before settling so that she could stick out her feet to make her toes available to the fellow Ghoul.
"Hopefully," she agreed. It wasn't that she didn't love the boys, but honestly, they needed a little time without all that testosterone. She only shook her head, bouncing about a few of her curls, "Let them spend manly time together? I don't think we could stop them if we wanted to. They're impossible about it." Despite her words, there was a hint of amusement in her voice. The boys could be a bit overwhelming, but at least they had a good time together. Even if their activities were often suspicious.
As if Richard understood, he edged away behind Alessa. But Alessa only laughed and said, "That doesn't mean we can't do them anyway."

LW smiled up at the ghoul. "That sounds like a plan to me then." Hopefully this movie wouldn't be that bad though. The images she kept seeing on the screen as the previews rolled through were making her think she might be kicking wolf butt later on. Her brothers were dead if she got really scared from this movie. Then again, it was her fault for listening to their suggestion in the first place...
The she-wolf beamed and happily set the color aside while she gently held Alessa's toes to carefully apply quick strokes of nail polish on them. She almost missed the toe she was on when she heard Alessa's teasing words. "I..I don't know...maybe." There was definitely a part of her that hoped so. It wasn't often she indulged herself in this past time.
A snort of laughter escaped. "Manly time? I think they may be having something closer to ghoul time." LW giggled. "They are just as bad, or worse...no they are worse than us." There was no doubt about this one. Oh but they did love the boils! Even if they could be handfuls. "I'll be happy as long as nothing gets broken. Or they come back with that glint in their eyes that just tells us they got into some sort of trouble."
One foot finished, she moved on to the other foot, quickly painting Alessa's toes. It went quicker and she leaned back to grin at the ghoul when she was finished. "Really is a lovely shade on you!" Her tail thumped against the floor lightly as she eyed the lepus attempting to hide behind Alessa now. "Don't worry! I'll only off your snuggles." She winked at him before looking to the rabbit again. "Want me to do your hands too?"

"He'd better," Alessa said, seeming to mean it too. Perhaps she only said it, though, because Gabe did tend to treat LW rather well, so to break that trend now would be a bit of a downgrade on his part. Plus, she had no problem holding him to expectations and harassing him if he didn't meet them. It was just something reminiscent of the way they had met and their odd friendship before it had improved to being more relaxed, more normal
"As long as I don't have to clean up after them, yes," She agreed. Despite the hard tone of her voice, there was a small smile playing at the corner of her mouth. "They can bromance all they want, as long as it's clean. If they get hurt that's their problem." Not that she wouldn't nurse them afterward if they did. Scold them too, perhaps, but they were just being boils.
She withdrew her feet carefully, propping them a bit to the side so that they wouldn't smudge. After a moment's thought, she nodded her head, "Sure! I think I can still do yours while mine are drying...slowly, maybe, but I can manage it." Richard seemed to have overcome his unease and settled to sit next to them, apparently waiting for when this cuddle time would happen.

LW was a little surprised by how much Alessa seemed to mean those two words. It also had her lips twitching as she just pictured what would happen if he did not. Poor Gabe. Though LW had to admit she'd feel a little sad if he never noticed. At least Alessa would! In fact, Alessa was probably the only one that would really get to see the more girly side of her. LW couldn't ever bring herself to show this side when around the boils. It was the same with her brothers too.
The she-wolf sighed heavily. "That might be asking too much, knowing the two of them." She giggled at using 'bromance' to describe it. Totally fit them. "If you are able to withstand the cute pouty face, you are stronger than I am." LW snorted. "At least I can use the puppy dog eyes. That works most of the time." And her tail. She was learning very quickly that her tail was a weapon that could be used against her boilfriend.
Smiling, she waited for Alessa to decide if she wanted the she-wolf to do her hands as well or not. "Alright!" LW lightly grabbed one of the rabbit's hands and dipped the nail brush back into the bottle before beginning to put those careful strokes across each nail. This seemed to go quicker than toes had gone. And she noticed that the lepus, Richard, had finally sat next to them. Apparently the prospect of cuddle time was too much to resist for him. LW grinned and finished up her friend's nails.
"There!" LW eyed her work. "It really is a nice color for you." She grinned up at Alessa.

"I can withstand it when I need to," Alessa said smugly. Perhaps it just came with being a rabbit; you didn't fall for ploys, mainly because you were usually the cutest thing around anyway. Her stubborn nature helped some too. She couldn't say she had used her bunny-wiles to trick them, though. She hadn't seen the need.
"How do you manage with so many brothers, LW?" she asked absently as she held out her hands to have her nails painted. Considering the testosterone level LW lived among, she was doing a pretty good job with the brush. "Two wild boils is enough for me sometimes."
Alessa laughed, "I guess pink has just always been my thing, hu?" She blew on her fingers a bit and then fanned them for a minute before she took LW's bottle with the tips of the underside of her fingers. She shook the bottle very carefully before screwing off the lid. Every motion was slow and careful, so that she wouldn't bump the job LW had given her and force her friend to start again. "Feet, please!"

LW sighed dramatically. "You are a stronger ghoul then me." She grinned at her friend. "I fall prey to it. But I can at least use my own puppy dog face against them." Most of the time. It took a lot of effort on either boils part to resist it. Sadly, she had yet to achieve what Alessa seemed to have. Which was resist their adorable pouty faces.
At Alessa's question, LW busted into laughter, still careful of the nail polish in the nails she painted. "I have yet to figure that answer out yet." She admitted. "But being able to wrestle around with the boils tends to help. Well that and a drama queen for a sister." LW glanced at Alessa. "Between Savannah and my mother, there is enough feminine hormones roaming around that I fit better with my brothers." And, though she didn't like to admit it to herself, it was her way of distinguishing herself from her sister. Because she was the younger of the two female wolves. LW had always felt like she had to live up to certain standards that her sister had set, being older. So the she-wolf had made her own place among her family. With the boils.
She gave a quirky grin. "Guess so." LW said, admiring the nice pink shade that now coated Alessa's nails. "Funny how certain colors just seem to fit people." The she-wolf slid her feet carefully over to the rabbit and leaned against her knees. "What is family life like for you?" LW tilted her head a little in curiosity. "Do you have any siblings?"

"Stronger? Maybe. It just means I'd make a good babysitter," Alessa scoffed, but it was with a smile tugging very openly at the corners of her mouth. Sometimes she already felt like she was babysitting, but only sometimes. And that didn't mean she didn't enjoy it, no matter how much she scolded or reasoned with them.
"That does look like it comes in handy," Alessa agreed. Wrestling was rather beyond Alessa. She could give a good kick here and there, but that was it. Picked off the ground she was rather helpless. She couldn't really keep up with boils in that way. She admired the fact that LW could. It widened her friends experiences. Especially since here LW was, painting nails just as easily.
At LW's question she hesitated visibly, before continuing with careful strokes and offering a bit of a sad smile, "No siblings. I know my parents are trying to have another soon...I'm surprised they never did before. I was...hardly what they would have wanted, really. I haven't lived with them much. I've moved around a lot, living with other relatives." She was careful in how she described it, because her feelings about her family was very mixed. She understood why they did what they did and that they meant well, but that didn't mean she had enjoyed it or that she wasn't rather hurt by it all. She didn't want to talk down about them, though, or accuse them of anything. It didn't seem quite fair.

The she-wolf tried to surpress a giggle at Alessa's comment, but she failed. It was mostly true, and LW was most likely counted in that 'babysitting'. She and the boils could be quite the nuesiances. Although the boils were usually worse. At least in her opinion.
LW shrugged a little. "I see it more as survival. Kinda hard to be the smallest wolf in the family with lots of brothers." She smiled and winked at Alessa. "But it also means I learned how to get them back. Wrestling being one of those." None of this held any note of dislike. She was fond of her family and loved her brothers. They were quite protective of her and LW suspected that some of their 'wrestling' games had been her brothers' way of toughening her up for when they couldn't be there to protect her. She did have a knack for getting into trouble, after all.
She frowned, feeling a little guilty for bringing up the subject of siblings and family. LW was so used to having siblings that she didn't know how someone without them would feel. Alessa didn't sound like she...disliked that her parents were having another, nor did she seem upset at not being quite what they wanted. LW sort of new that feeling. She was definitely not what her mother wanted in a female wolf. But her mother had her sister to make up for that. Still..."Well," she gave a small but warm smile, "having a really good best friend is kind of like having a sibling." Her tail flicked at the end as she watched Alessa apply the nail polish to her toes. "I may not be family, but you are sort of like a sister to me." LW said in an almost shy voice. But it was true. She thought of all of them, boils included, as family.
