He hadn't really thought about who Denebola was outside of their henshined forms, it hadn't really ever come up, but after their return from Elysion someone had to take him to the hospital and she was the one there. He'd managed an excuse about tripping over a power cord attached to a bad socket at the ER and had gotten out after some painful cleaning and a long list of restrictions was put on him.
He'd gone home and she'd helped put fresh bandages on his leg before leaving. By the next afternoon he'd sent out his message and figured it would be a good time to talk to her again. This time where they could actually talk without having to worry about some nasty creature breathing down their necks.
After getting lunch, and some painkillers for his trouble he sent her another text asking if she'd come over so they could talk about what had happened.
De, think you could meet me over at my place again? I want to ask you some more stuff about the starseeds and the Negaverse.

It had been interesting revealing her civilian identity to someone, it wasn't something she had done before nor was it something she had ever planned on doing until it happened. It had been unavoidable and she didn't even mind because she trusted him. It was easy telling someone she was a superhero when they were one too.
She was already out and about, having felt restless staying at her new apartment after the big battle, when she received his text. The look on her face as she read his message was a serious one as she quickly replied
Be there in ten

It didn't take her long to reach his condo and she stood outside the door almost awkwardly. She rapped her knuckles on his door waiting for him to answer.

When he heard the knock at his door he pulled himself up out of the chair he'd sat in to grumble to himself and hobbled to the door. Pulling it open carefully he smiled when he saw her outside. "Hey ... sorry for asking you to come over on short notice."
He looked different outside of his uniform. His hair was a mess from not doing much more than running a hand though it when he got up and fell mostly in his eyes. He'd at least managed to put on somewhat presentable clothes in a pair of battered jeans and a white longsleeved button up.
Hopping carefully he stepped aside so she could come in.

Despite the exhaustion she felt sometimes when she woke up after a long night of patrolling Fiona always got up bright and early to be able to spend plenty of time getting ready. Her hair was pulled off of her shoulders into a high ponytail with a bits falling down and framing her face. She looked very similar to her senshi form but at the same time very different. For instance she wasn't wearing any green today. Instead she wore a blue ruffle skirt, a white top, a black cardigan and black boots.
"Nah, I was in the area it's not a problem," she replied waving off his apology. Between school and being a senshi Fiona didn't do too much, not because of the lack of interest but because of the lack of free time. As he moved aside she stepped in hesitating for a minute unsure if she should remove her boots. "Should I take my boots off?" She asked furrowing her brow slightly.
She wasn't sure if he was one of those people that preferred if you removed your shoes to prevent dirt from tracking into the house. "How's your leg?" She asked glancing at it as she spoke. He'd certainly taken a beating from that last fight.
"You had some questions for me?" She had some questions of her own it seemed, though they were mostly filler as she stood somewhat awkwardly in her partner's house.

He looked down at her boots and wondered for a moment how in the hell girls walked in those things. "No, it's okay. The whole place is either wood or tile." Which made cleaning things up a lot easier when it came to dirt being tracked inside. "I mean, unless they're really dirty or something but they don't seem like it."
He grinned slightly as he looked back up at her. "Still can't walk but at least it's not bleeding if i move it anymore." It would definitely leave a scar though which was just one more reason why he was going to kill the blond captain. "I wanted to ask more about the starseeds. I don't really know anything about them..." And they seemed important.

Lucien would probably be surprised if he ever saw her shoe closet because she had heels much higher than the ones on her boots. If he wondered how she walked in these then he'd be really baffled to see her walking in some of her other heels. "Ah, alright," she replied feeling more comfortable as moved further inside her friend's home. "Nah, I try to keep them pretty clean being suede and all," she replied glancing at her boots. If they were dirty it was because the streets were dirty.
"Good," she was relieved to know that it had stopped bleeding but if he couldn't walk then it meant it was still in bad shape. Still it was healing and that was good. "You're following the restrictions put on you right? I don't want you accidentally making things worse." She was concerned about his well being and she wanted to see him get better.
"Sure thing," she responded when he mentioned the starseeds. She figured it would be a topic they'd discuss in detail at one point or another. "Do you have any specific questions to ask or should I just start rambling off the information I know?"

"Yes, i've been sitting around mostly reading or meditating." He wasn't suppose to be walking around for a while so he didn't have that much of a choice as to what to do in his spare time. "And I asked Cordy to bring me over some movies if she can find some i might like."
Once he'd closed and relocked the door he hopped carefully over to the chair he'd been sitting in and sat back down before propping his leg up on the ottoman. He waved hand for her to make herself comfortable on the couch or one of the other chairs.
"Rambling might not be too bad. I can always take notes." He grinned slightly

She followed him slowly taking a seat on a chair somewhat opposite of him folding her hands into her lap. She was silent for a minute trying to think of where to begin, she figured she could go over information that they had previously discussed while throwing in new information, or what she thought to be new.
"Well, for starters starseeds are the equivalent of someone's soul," she began lips pressing together in thought. "Without it you will die." The cold truth of the fact. "The negaverse has the ability to reach into your chest, into the hidden cavity where the starseed resides," she swallowed shuddering. "It hurts. It hurts so much to have someone's hand, their arm in your chest trying to find your starseed, I imagine it hurts worse to have someone gripping your starseed..." She thought about the battle with the ice princess, about Castor and his screams when the youma armed general was about to take his starseed. "It's the most terrifying thing I have ever gone through," she thought about her own close encounter with death, how she had almost had her starseed ripped from her chest. She thought about how that probably would not be the last time.
She forced herself to start talking again. "The minute the starseed is gone the person is dead, or like dead. They exhibit all the same features of a cold dead body. Without their starseed there is no hope for survival." There had been two instances where she had seen two people have their starseeds ripped out and to never be returned. "They eat them Lucien...they can eat them..." She stopped talking.

He listened to her information and even though he didn't really get interpersonal relations he could see the information held a personal touch with her. She'd either watched it happen to someone or someone had tried to do it her.
"They .. the youma or the Negaverse?" Though really they weren't that much different. He knew the Negaverse was after energy of some sort. Corvus had gone over that with him and from the sounds of it a starseed could carry a vast amount of energy. Even more so if it was the starseed of a senshi

She blinked, looking up as his question filled in the silence she had left behind. "The negaverse, both...I..." she shook her head trying to clear her thoughts. "I watched an officer devour a starseed for energy," she sighed pushing her hair back with a hand, letting it linger for a minute. "Youma's are the carriers," she told him dropping her hand and playing with her fingers, her gaze shifted to the ground.
"They hold on to the starseed until someone else comes and takes it, that's why I'm always looking through the dust, to see if they left a starseed behind," she explained looking up at him. She settled her elbows on her knees and leaned forward. "You never know who's it might be," she shrugged. It was all so complicated, but living a double life was complicated. If it wasn't then it wouldn't be worth it.
"I don't really know how a youma get's a starseed, but how a negaverse officer does..." She pressed her lips together tightly before completing her sentence. "I know first hand." She'd never told him that before, but this conversation was about telling him everything she knew when it came to starseeds and whatever else he wanted to know. She saw no point in hiding anything at the moment.

So the youma could take energy and maybe take starseeds. If they could also carry them then it would make sense that the Negaverse agents could make youma. That would be something to keep an eye on. Given the few Negaversers he had met he and how they acted he wouldn't want to run into anything they created. It was something good to file away in his memory though in case it came up.
He tipped his head slightly at her last statement. "... someone tried to take yours." It was more a statement than anything else. She had said first hand and she looked a bit nervous so that had to be it. "They obviously didn't get it, thankfully ... but that couldn't have been pleasant."

She nodded slowly, she figured she probably should have told him before but it had never come up in conversation before and she didn't want to just spring it on him. She hadn't been sure until now, when they had revealed their secret identities to one another, that they were in that secure of a relationship. But here they were and she was laying it all out before him.
"Yes, I was in over my head and I refused to let myself back down," she confirmed. It was her Achilles's heel, her courage, but it was also her greatest asset. "I tend to do that a lot," she tried to smile at it thinking about her other battle with a captain. "I got in a losing fight with a guitar wielding captain, I think he's the one you ended up fighting in Elysion," she told him glancing at his leg.
"I'd avoid a one eyed Victorian style dressed captain wielding a bladed chain," she warned him. "He's small but dangerous," she shuddered even thinking about him. "I survived and I sure as hell wouldn't want to go through it again but..." she shook her head. "Um, anyway do you have any questions so far?"

"I'm going to find that one and kill him." His eyes narrowed slightly. If he did anything before he was dead he was going to make sure that the Captain was dead first. Maybe not even dead, maybe he'd find a way to make him worse than dead. Shaking his head he looked back up at his partner.
"I like your determination though, the fact that you wont back down. It reminds me when I don't think we've got a chance that you don't know until you try." He smiled slightly.
Even if he still sucked at fighting Denebola had at least taught him that just giving up and letting things to wasn't the answer.
"What do you know about them? abut their powers or anything ... anything we can use to fight against them"

She didn't say anything as he declared that he was going to kill the captain. Though she understood that it was necessary she still hadn't decided on her views on killing. She did, however, resign to the fact that she probably didn't have a choice. It was kill or be killed now but that didn't mean she liked it.
She smiled at his compliment and she found herself blushing lightly. "Thanks, it's probably one of my best qualities," she laughed. "Nothing is impossible, not if you're willing to fight for it," she told him sounding confident. Being brave and confident was just a part of her life.
She didn't know who she'd be otherwise.
"The captain, I'm not sure if he gave me his name or not but..." she shook her head. "He loves glowsticks, or anything that glows really. It could be useful in luring him somewhere," she pressed her lips together as she thought about their fight. "He seems a little cocky," her eyes narrowed as she remembered how he insulted her dragonflies. "Very hyper-active...and he likes aiming for the face," now she was scowling. Why did they always aim for the face?
"As for the other one, he's much more...focused? Than the other one." This had been a fight she certainly wouldn't want to go through alone again. "He's shorter so you could probably use height to your advantage and he has an eyepatch over his..left eye and he doesn't seem to care for Castor much, if the senshi of hail is anywhere in the area it seems like he'll go straight for him." The last bit of her statement was just observation from the fight with the snow princess and later in the first battle of Elysion.

He nodded at his response to his comment on her determination. It wasn't something he would have agreed with before moving to DC ... but before moving here he hadn't been constantly fighting for his life every time he went out after dark.
Now he had something to fight for though. He'd -seen- what the Negaverse was willing to do to win and he couldn't let that happen. He couldn't let them slaughter the other Senshi just because they felt slighted about something.
"Castor ... i've heard the name before i think. He's the one who's been doing the training camps?" It was a bit off his target conversation about Negaverse information but whatever. He really needed to make contact with more of the Senshi just so he wasn't constantly in the dark about who was who.
"At least blondie has to aim -up- to get at my face." That was one good thing about being tall. It was a lot harder for anyone to get in a headshot. Though he expected cracked ribs were going to start being a staple in his life.
"A lot of the Negaverse seemed to be very determined. They all seem to have the same goal in mind ... unlike us." He shook his head slightly.
