AAR - the Avatar Arena Rebellion - is a group of dedicated avi designers and arena buffs who are making an effort to promote fun and thoughtful avis in the arena.

Some of you may not remember the glory days of the arenas on Gaia. How we miss those days! Every week the winners circle was filled with great avis. Participation of the Gaian community was high, people won by hundreds or even thousands of votes, and got hundreds of comments.

Recently many talented Gaians have been discouraged by the flaws in the 2nd arena version codes, outright cheating & down-voting. Sadly, some have left the arenas & Gaia forever. It's discouraging to see this besmirching of the integrity and intention of the arena, which is simply to be a place for people to share & discuss their best designs. We hope with the opening of the new arenas soon, they will return to their former glory!
