First Quest_______ Haile Skystone Fortuneteller [[ I’d like to say right away that Haile is, in a way, a bit of a cosplay. I’ve taken bits and pieces of a character named Wizard from Harvest Moon: Animal Parade, who was a wizard (of course) and happened to be rather quiet and mellow. I fell in love with the character concept, and while I don’t want Haile to be exactly like Wizard, they will be quite similar~]] Species: Fox Gender: Male Physical Traits: A skinny, soft-gray sort of fellow with a darker muzzle, black ear-and-tail tips, and a stripe of darker gray down his forehead. Underneath each eye are four white dots, and in the middle of his forehead streak are two. His eyes are heterochromatic; left is gold, right is blue. Also, his paws up to about the elbow/knee should be a darker gray, as well. He should have a gentle sort of expression on his face, though not quite a smile, sort of wistful, I suppose.
Edits: As I’ve borrowed a few personality traits from a beloved Harvest Moon character, I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to go a bit further. Exactly what he looks like is up to the artist; the sketch I’ve drawn up is nothing but suggestion, since I’m not the best at wizard-y clothing, but I have included a reference to the character himself (he has some pretty sweet cloak adornments)~ I’ve also played with the idea of having him hold his book, or a teloscope, or even a crystal ball - ah, whatever the artist thinks looks best!
Personality: A shy, withdrawn sort of character, not much of a conversationalist - but still very gentle and tender, with a heart of gold that strives to help those in need. While he prefers to be on his own, a part of him does yearn for the company of others… if he could only figure out how to speak with them, he might be a more sociable creature. He’s stoic and quiet, and doesn’t mind that, while he can be a very powerful spellcaster, he’s most often cast as a harmless fortuneteller. Let them believe what they like, he figures, so long as they do me no harm.
History: No one is really quite sure how old Haile is, though he seems to be in the earlier stages of the prime of his life. And nobody really knows what his history is, since no one can actually seem to get it out of him. But, he did in fact have a childhood; a fine-enough one, with parents who loved him and a tribe that kept to itself in peaceful ways. Nothing bad befell his fellow foxes, either - they all went on to lead their own lives in peace somewhere within the forests. Haile only left because of a certain Piper’s Call that came through their settlement one day, a lively young squirrelmaid who used wondrous magic and spun the most beautiful of tales, capturing his very heart and soul as if she had spirited it from him while he watched in awe. He couldn’t help wanting to follow her away into the world, and so the night she was destined to leave, he packed up a bag with what goods he could need and began a steady, dogged following.
The Squirrel learned of him soon enough, however, and was very kind to him; she took him to her fire, asked the boy what he could want from a spellcaster like herself, laughed a bit when the poor thing couldn’t find his words. He didn’t speak, at first, and she was alright with that - she never minded a hair that he kept right along with her, and he did make himself quite useful in gathering the bits and pieces she used in her concoctions. She decided that he would have a good education in the magical ways, and showed him a great many secrets, all which had been written with a cryptic paw within a large leatherbound book. “It is a gift,” she would say, as he began to understand what was written and what it meant. “Magic is for those who help others. You would be wise to use it in a benevolent way, my boy.”
And then, one day, she was gone, leaving him the book and a few choice goods to help him on his way. He withdrew into the forests and studied his magic, as instructed, and for quite a while he went without any sort of contact - always hoping his teacher would come back, knowing subconsciously that she never would. The awkward move to the very edge of a small settlement was made when he figured himself to be quite powerful in his arts, and though he didn’t quite know how to meet the residents, he eventually made himself a figurehead of a fortuneteller - though he’s capable of quite a bit more.
In all, he’s led a quiet, unassuming sort of life. He doesn’t really feel the need to do much more.

Quest 2_____
Mikal Achefleur Florist
I couldn’t help it. Cliché? Hells to the yeah. But, a florist skunk? HOW PRECIOUS IS THAT I MEAN REALLY.
Species: Skunk Gender: Male Physical Traits: Coffee-crème brown, with swirling spotted skunk stripes. He’s an eccentric with a tuft of floppy fur hanging over his eyes, and he should grin widely like an absolute fool! And let’s add freckles, cause freckles are cute - right along all four paws. Oh! And THIS is a spotted skunk. Just… like a million shades too dark to be Mikal. But you get the spotty idea.
Edits: He wears a brightly-colored blue-and-red scarf around his neck and several bangles around both wrists; he also wears a blue vest, to which he has pinned a number of flowers. I think he should also have a set of gloves, though what they should look like is beyond me. ALTHOUGH technically it doesn’t matter to me what he wears, so long as there’s flowers involved and it’s ridiculously bright to the point of being a bit gaudy. ACTUALLY through RPing him in the handy-dandy custom contest... I keep seeing him wearing a broad-rimmed straw hat with a few flowers tucked in the band. He still likes fine clothes and bright colours, but I'm still trying to figure out how to match all that with a straw freaking hat.
But the hat is smexy, and I like it~
Personality: Surprisingly, for a skunk, Mikal doesn’t smell half bad.
Of course, that’s largely in part due to the kind of company he keeps. Mikal’s one of those nature-lover types, the kind of animal that just can’t help being bright and cheery LIKE ALL DAY EVERY DAY. Sure, some people might find him to be a bit overbearing and a little too ignorant of concepts like personal space and voice volume, but he really is an absolute love to be around. Who can help but feel a bit happy when there’s a clown of a skunk doing his best to make sure there’s a smile on every face and a flower in every lapel? He’s an eccentric and a right dandy, but hey - that’s why everyone loves him!
He’s also quite humble, in case that wasn’t so very obvious. And, as it turns out, he can be incredibly vain at times; for instance, the way he coats his fur with scented perfumes to keep down his body's naturally 'unpleasant' odors. He doesn't like to muss up his fur or his clothing - ever - unless it's for the sake of his flowers. Oh, how he suffers for them...
Update: As it turns out, Mikal's more of a pompous, frilly sort of smartass when not needing to be friendly o.o Hopefully this is only because he's stuck in a muddy hole about to be fed to some sort of beast, though~
History: Har, IDK. I think I’ll RP this guy out to find most of his history. But, in the short run, let’s say his mother was an avid florist and gardener who liked to take her goods down to Mossflower every so often, and his father was a bard she met on the way. He’s on his own now, but his ma’s probably set up for life somewhere comfortable while he carries on the family business.
